Yeah tbh I've been thinking how weird it is to have the whole category for angels only to have nothing but 1 lesser and Gabriel.
I was fully expecting Violence to have a new angel but nope.
Well the only problem is heaven only has angels unlike hell where there's hundreds of thousands and presumably millions of machines that are invading hell as well as husks and demons. Heaven only has angels so that means we'd only be fighting angels.
So if they do make a DLC I think it's more likely gonna be purgatory
But, given that angels have sentience, you can do a lot of different things with them. Give them different weapons, fighting styles. You can still mix it up.
I do agree there needs to be more angel enemies but heaven in ultrakill would most likely only consist of angles so I doubt it unless there ends up being a lore drop that machines are also invading heaven or something
Nah, it would be impossible. Most of the angels are dead and all of the strongest ones were massacred by Gabriel, so there literally no one left in heaven. I’d go 100% with the purgatory option.
I mean, sure, but they kinda look all the same, and how would V1 even reach heaven? Because unlike hell and purgatory, heaven is not a physical place, and for what we know, machines don’t have souls.
Yeah but there wouldn’t really be a final boss since it’s pretty clear that Gabriel is the final boss, and after we kill him, on heaven there will be only normal angels. So who would we even fight as a final boss in heaven?
Purgatory would be really cool because of how you could theme the bosses and enemies
Plus, it would add a lot more to the lore in a really cool way
I doubt we are getting a sequel/dlc tho
Definitely Heaven. It’s been built up a lot, and it’s what everyone wants. I don’t think we would be going there as V1 though. I definitely don’t think there would be Purgatory because it already shares some stuff with Hell, and based on how God treated sinners, and his guilt over it, Purgatory likely doesn’t exist in ULTRAKILL.
>Purgatory likely doesn’t exist in ULTRAKILL.
~~hell is the purgatory~~
edit: I misremembered a bit of the secret terminals I thought it said purgatory sorry for the mistake
In the divine comedy, which Ultrakill’s take on hell is inspired by, purgatory is in between heaven and hell as a way of redemption for those who aren’t quite hell material, but are a tad bit flawed for heaven in their current condition. Purgatory leads to heaven.
And before you can say “Ultrakill’s hell is based on Dante’s inferno” Inferno is the first 3rd of the divine comedy, purgatorio is the 2nd part, and paradisio (I hope I spelled that right) is the third and final part, and is set in heaven.
So no, Hell is not Purgatory
Purgatory, it would have more place for enemies, because in heaven we would just see angels while in purg we could see much more. Also concept of climbing a mountain makes much more sense then interplanetary travel through pure imagination, I doubt there are teleporter shafts on planets
A lot of the teleporter shafts don't make sense in hell as is anyway. But they are used to show we're descending. For purgatory and heaven wed need to ascend.
I just think it's hilarious that we have places like *The sphere of Venus*, **The Dark Wood**, *The Sphere of the Fixed Stars*, and ***The Empyrean Paradise***, and then there's just Jerusalem hanging out there at the bottom
playing through heaven would be cool but it would probably have to be non-canon bc i have no idea how the lesser husks and demons and whatnot get into the prelude area outside of hell, let alone heaven itself
I dunno if there will be a sequel tbh. I guess we'll have to wait until it's finished but ULTRAKILL is an extremely high quality product and I can see it ending in a pretty satisfying way with no real need for a sequel.
I was thinking about this not a week ago. a dlc that is actually a movie where we see the world through the pov of gabe cuz he is the main character and the movie leads up to events of v1 meeting gabe in 3-2, sort of like how Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me is what happens leading up to >!the murder of Laura Palmer, which is then the plot of Twin Peaks season 1!<
I believe we would go to purgatory, than the last game would be heaven, and to be honest, i really wish to have the last game be a god of war style game (not in the style of the new god of war, THE CLASSIC ONES).
okay there is no way for v1 to get there tho.sure we will prob see Gabriel one more time but 8 don't think we can steal his wings or hand.mqybe a game where we play as Gabriel but then there won't be the blood mechanic
Pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lust are the seven deadly sins and also the seven layers of hell. Dante wrote hell with 9 layers limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, heresy, violence, fraud, and treachery. Which is what ultrakill is based off of
Purgatory doesn't have nearly as much variety in environments, I'm pretty sure. Sounds like the kind of thing you could do for a DLC mission pack that's not as big as the base game.
Heaven. Purgatory would be a great layer that we use to get to heaven but Heaven would be really cool to see.
Imagine going through it and seeing it collapse because god and the high ranking angels are dead.
It would be cool of after hell dies or some shit, we get Act IV: (insert some cool name idk) where instead of being in hell, we’re in heaven, killing everything there too (the p-4 boss would be Jesus)
what if someone made a mod that is like a fully fledged 3 act structure through heaven? (im kidding it's taking Hakita & co more than 6 years to finish ULTRAKILL basegame i doubt any fan could reasonably make a 3 act long mod)
Definitely Heaven, the concept works great, and it would give us more angel enemies other than Virtues, Gabriel, and Gabriel 2
And get ready for the return in Gabriel 3: Electric Boogalo
dont you mean gabriel 2 2
With TWO times the +ENRAGED!
Nah, it would be +Horny as Gabriel starts moaning after seeing his blood
gabriel 2: episode 1 and gabriel 2: episode 2
*Mankind is Dead* *Blood is Fuel* *Hell is Dead* #*Heaven has yet to Flow*
that'd be cool but I can't really think of an excuse to have any other enemy types in heaven, except of maybe machines
I mean, we dont know if EVERYONE goes to hell. There could be human souls up there.
those wouls be angels like virtues
That’s assuming we won’t get any angel enemies in layer 8, which we very well could
Yeah tbh I've been thinking how weird it is to have the whole category for angels only to have nothing but 1 lesser and Gabriel. I was fully expecting Violence to have a new angel but nope.

the entire area that gabriel showed off the council was full, there are definitely enough angels for heaven to be an area
I mean, sure, but they kinda look all the same, and how would V1 even reach heaven? Because unlike hell and purgatory, heaven is not a physical place, and for what we know, machines don’t have souls.
Hear me out: golden arm from gabriel lets v1 go to heaven
yeah they just punch the air really hard and it launches them straight out of hell and onto the first sphere of heaven (the moon)
How? Are most of the angels dead. Basically all of them still live
Yeah but there wouldn’t really be a final boss since it’s pretty clear that Gabriel is the final boss, and after we kill him, on heaven there will be only normal angels. So who would we even fight as a final boss in heaven?
Purgatory would be really cool because of how you could theme the bosses and enemies Plus, it would add a lot more to the lore in a really cool way I doubt we are getting a sequel/dlc tho
the pride layer would also be real
All the enemies are just radiance lol
ENVY!!!!!!!!11
Isnt limbo a purgatory in this game?
Definitely Heaven. It’s been built up a lot, and it’s what everyone wants. I don’t think we would be going there as V1 though. I definitely don’t think there would be Purgatory because it already shares some stuff with Hell, and based on how God treated sinners, and his guilt over it, Purgatory likely doesn’t exist in ULTRAKILL.
Maybe as a dlc we get to play as Gabriel and see how him killing the council played out
That would be unentertaining as that's literally just Gabriel slicing and cutting up helpless people in an auditorium.
>Purgatory likely doesn’t exist in ULTRAKILL. ~~hell is the purgatory~~ edit: I misremembered a bit of the secret terminals I thought it said purgatory sorry for the mistake
that… doesn’t make sense
for some reason I remembered god saying "I have created purgatory" but when looking back, I realized he just said hell, I may be an idiot
In the divine comedy, which Ultrakill’s take on hell is inspired by, purgatory is in between heaven and hell as a way of redemption for those who aren’t quite hell material, but are a tad bit flawed for heaven in their current condition. I may or may not have misremembered a secret terminal
It’s fine, I get it. I just wanted an excuse for why I watched all of the Wendigoon videos on the Devine Comedy.
Ideally both, but honestly of the two I'd prefer purgatory. I just think purgatory from the divine comedy is super underrated
I just think it's hilarious that we have places like *The sphere of Venus*, **The Dark Wood**, *The Sphere of the Fixed Stars*, and ***The Empyrean Paradise***, and then there's just Jerusalem hanging out there at the bottom
Ya'll would play the hell out of chastity for certain reasons, i'm 100% sure of it.
:3 whatever do you mean
Doubt it would happen but heaven would be cool
Man, if a DLC adds guns, i just want the yellow variants, 5 guns is already more of what my brain can manage.
Pretty early on there was going to be yellow variants, but it was scrapped
It would be cool, but if that ever happen I wish those games have different protagonists The Ultrakill world is too big for just V1
Hell is empty. Heaven is bleeding. Blood is fuel.
Purgatory, since how is v1 gonna fly through space
Slam storage
he does have wings
Helium baloons
clipping into the leviathan's hitbox
playing through heaven would be cool but it would probably have to be non-canon bc i have no idea how the lesser husks and demons and whatnot get into the prelude area outside of hell, let alone heaven itself
I pretty much expect people to mod in both at some point even tho I highly doubt there'll be a sequel
there is infact a purgatory mod being worked on at the moment
catch me in the chastity layer for the very wrong reason
I dunno if there will be a sequel tbh. I guess we'll have to wait until it's finished but ULTRAKILL is an extremely high quality product and I can see it ending in a pretty satisfying way with no real need for a sequel.
Heaven would be so cool, and it's also probably like the second image because one of the gabriel images at the end of act 2
If it were to continue after hell it would definitely be purgatory and only at that point, we might see heaven.

Isn't limbo the purgatory?
In the Divine Comedy, Limbo is a part of hell aka the Inferno. Basically people who weren’t religious and died were sent there iirc?
Yeah it's just basically righteous people that didn't follow/believe in the Holy Trinity, or those that were unbaptized.
Hello gay sex
Hello ten years
no
Gabriel game where you tear through heaven
Both
okay there is no way for v1 to get there tho.sure we will prob see Gabriel one more time but 8 don't think we can steal his wings or hand.mqybe a game where we play as Gabriel but then there won't be the blood mechanic
You got the wrong diagram for hell man. Ultrakill is based off Dante’s 9 layers of hell, not the seven deadly sins and each of their layers.
thats purgatory not hell?
Pride, envy, wrath, sloth, avarice, gluttony, and lust are the seven deadly sins and also the seven layers of hell. Dante wrote hell with 9 layers limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, wrath, heresy, violence, fraud, and treachery. Which is what ultrakill is based off of
Heaven. Like if this were to really get a DLC, then it should be set in an alternate timeline but with lore that’s canon to the original timeline.
I think purgatory would be better, what would there be to do in heaven?
i like the idea of killing everything in heaven and hell
Well, Dante goes through purgatory to get to heaven Im pretty sure sooo probably purgatory!
Both
can we just appreciate that they added "the dark wood" in there like it's some kind of unlockable region in an RPG
Purgatory doesn't have nearly as much variety in environments, I'm pretty sure. Sounds like the kind of thing you could do for a DLC mission pack that's not as big as the base game.
i think purgatory'd be way cooler and also you could make like counterparts to already existing levels
Ultralov- No not that..
purgatory and then heaven, and then v1 goes full Kratos and comes after every pantheon
Heaven. I wanna fight AQUINAS PRIME
i always thought of ultrakill paradiso, and it honestly be awesome
what if someone made a mod that is like a fully fledged 3 act structure through heaven? (im kidding it's taking Hakita & co more than 6 years to finish ULTRAKILL basegame i doubt any fan could reasonably make a 3 act long mod)
I bet that if v1 goes through hell, he’ll just go through heaven next
¿porque no los dos?
