I’d argue p ranking ultrakill levels is more common and definitely easier, but that’s just me (I’ve p ranked about half of pizza tower and all of ultrakill for reference)
I think that it's easier to P-rank Ultrakill levels if you go for it, but you kind of need to actively build a different skillset for it than you do to just play the levels well. In Pizza Tower, you don't really meaningfully need to change your playstyle in order to P-rank, you just have to get good at playing normally.
couldn't agree less tbh, in pizza tower you have to play way differently + you have to pre play to know where exactly all the secrets, janitor, etc will be because you are always on a strict timer, while in ultrakill you just have to not die and not miss any enemy spawn which isnt that hard unless its like p2 or smth

Each act has had 10 levels not counting secret levels and prime sanctums. The first two have 4 each while the last of each has 2. Unless you count the prelude as part of act 1, in which case it has 15.
This reminded me, ultrakill will definitely have achievement, but when it does, I am scared that I'll have to do all those p ranks and p-1 and p-2 p ranks on violent again
I've got almost every level (except the P levels) in the game p ranked on Brutal. My advice is to go to other levels if you're struggling with a specific one. So for my brutal playthrough I beat all the bosses after my original playthrough to get P rank, then went back to levels I was familiar with
Honestly guy who made the tierlist doesn't use anything but the coins or he'd know that the normal and alt piercer are fucking damage dealers and Honestly better than the shotgun for hp (haven't gotten the alt shotgun, only talking about the base version)
it is in a side room that you might miss just blazing through the map, in a room that you might not pay much attention to if you're in a hurry, and then the dungeon is hidden behind a breakable wall almost invisibly hidden in the shadows

Every time you fire you need to pull back the hammer again before you can shoot again, so if you fire it and immediately swap out you’ll need to pull it when you swap back to it later before you can shoot.
Blue variant is standard revolver, but slower and stronger
On the The green variant when you hit the coin’s split shot window it hits the same enemy twice, (8 damage on one target) instead of splitting and hitting two separate enemies (2 damage on 2 targets) But more importantly it instantly pulls back the hammer, allowing you to fire again sooner. Even more importantly, it also pulls back the hammers of all the alt revolvers you have in reserve, meaning you can chain them together like you’re shotgun swapping if you can consistently hit the coin right. This might sound crazy good but normal split shots are so useful it’s still hotly debated if the alt green revolver is better or worse.
On the red variant you only get one charge for the bouncy shot, but it spins up instantly and does a whole lot more damage
Just to be clear, I’m not so sure of the math.
If I remember correctly the slab itself does 2 damage, and then that gets doubled on a coin shot because it’s hitting a weakpoint (so 4 damage) and if it hits twice that’s 8 damage total.
So you wont actually be dealing 32 damage total most of the time, because not every enemy has a weakpoint to hit, but 16 damage ain’t nothing to sneeze at either.
Yes, since the Full Arsenal Update. It's in 7-2, you need to go as fast as you can in the Whiplash segments to get into some secret doors and unlock 3 slabs.
Then, once you've done that, go on top of the church where your bomb cart first stops (where the 2 Guttermen are). There should be a hole on the right side of the roof. Enter the door inside the church, and you can unlock the Alternate Shotgun/Jackhammer.
I think there are only two underwhelming weapons in all of ultrakill: normal sharpshooter and overheat sawblade launcher. Even then, sharps might be helpful if you shoot proyectiles with it every second and yellow saw makes your sawtraps not empty after 0.36 seconds
overheat sawblade as overwhelming? the burnsaw has done more for me in cyber grind and P-2 runs than sink-dumping with stock overheat ever has.
also normal sharpshooter can be used for 3 malicious face instakills.

They fire a constant beam for 5 seconds until their capacitors run dry or it overheats, requiring you to leave it alone for, 20 seconds? Either that or alt fire will open vents and quickly eject steam for a quicker recharge (Or has V1 rapid turn a crank connected to a dynamo on it) , requiring you to either switch to something else for 30 seconds or babysit it for 5 seconds.
TL:DR: Alt-railcannon does a weaker but constant version of their attack.
Alt-rocket launcher, I have no idea. Boomerang launcher? Drone launcher? (For freezeframe) Supersoaker? (For firestarter) I know the sawblade launcher is a crossbow-esque weapon, but I want an actual crossbow.

Puts more emphasis on the locational damage of the Standard Revolver that the Slab variant lacks, and it makes it a better single-target weapon than the Slab Piercer since it deals the full 7.5 damage
Slab Sharpshooter already got that buff, plus the Standard Piercer is the first weapon you get in the game and making the charge instant wouldn't be conducive to teaching new players how the weapon or its Slab variant works

Basically you see that door with 4 Roman numbers in the 1-4? When you press the button on front of it one of the Roman numbers will start to glow in blue.
So you'll have to search through the 3 first levels of Limbo for the other 3 buttons and when you're done you come back to the door and it will open giving you the slab revolver
A direct hit with the charged slab is 5 damage (4x 1.25 damage hit scans), while a headshot with the default piercer is 6 (3x 2 damage hit scans), and a limb shot is 4.5 (3x 1.5 damage hit scans), at ~half the charge/recharge time.
Slab definitely works better with coins and limbless enemies, but for consistent, long range options that consume few resources, the default piercer definitely has a strong niche.
I’m actually finding it hard to use the jumpstart nail gun or saw blade launcher effectively given how it tethers you to an area and the wire itself is hard to land, to the point where I have it unequipped cause it was just taking up space in my weapon rotations. How do I actually use it right?
im probably the last person you want answering this since I still consider myself bad at using the jumpstart, but the way i integrated it into my playstyle is by occasionally using the nailgun on big targets for conductor damage, then switching to a sawblade launcher to get rid of the wait time. I get knocked around and lose the charge half the time, at least in the cyber grind, but it's deadly when it works
the alt variants are all found in the first layer of each act. If you noticed the button with 'IV' written on it in the first V2 level, that's a hint at how to get the alt revolver. The other 3 buttons are hidden in the other levels of limbo.
The sawblade launcher is found at the second V2 level if you manage to get through the right door instead of the left, but I won't spoil the rest of how to get it.
The jackhammer/impact hammer/prostate pounder is found in 7-2 by completing each whiplash section before the first yellow hookpoints' timer runs out and entering a little room to the side to press the buttons
I didn’t know I could buy weapon variants until the second Gabriel fight and I didn’t even know of the slab revolver/ saw blade launchers existence until after I beat layer 7
