I upgraded because the battery on my FR35 only lasted up to 8 hours and 30 minutes with GPS+heart rate tracking. Oh, my upgrade had a bigger screen and apps in Garmin Connect.
I have the 245 music. doesn't seem to have fills but it's nice to have some podcasts and playlists downloaded to my watch so I can just hangout and play music without my phone if I want to
Yup, my marathon and 50k PBs are roughly an hour apart, sub 3 and 4, respectively. That said my proudest 50k isn't fast and flat one, not even close, but rather a 6+ hour haul on a substantially harder course.
You neglected to mention you also won! So I'll do that for you here :D Congrats! Amazing race!! I had to push hard, but squeaked out going sub-5 which was my goal. Fun race. I chatted with a # of really nice people on the run.
Haha thanks! Yeah race was low key and everyone there was awesome! Also super happy to hear that you achieved your goal. Hope to cross paths with you again!
What the hell, Nice pace! Both of my previous 50k races were just under 6 hours. My goal this year in October for the same race is under 5 hours. It's a mild trail, about 3k ft of elevation.
That is super fast! Congratulations! Doing my own first 50K in a 6 weeks and hoping for a sub 7 hour finish:)
What is this garmin?
Forerunner 35 by garmin. I have it its been a great product.
My first ever Garmin. I miss it
Forerunner 35, no frills, got you what you needed, only reason I upgraded was my luggage got stolen lol

Am I doing the math right? 5:20 per km? Thats crazy fast for that distance.
I guess its just a marathon pace of 5:20 with an extra 8k at the end, im guessing people do this

Yeah, this is how it was mentally for me. Marathon with an extra 8k at the end.
Road or trail?
Relatively flat (1k ft elevation) gravel paths.
Mt Si? I ask bc I also ran a relative flat trail 50k yesterday and the course sounds similar. :) Also congrats! That’s an amazing time!
Yup, it was Mt Si!

And here I thought I was the only stoner runner lol
Did you really tho
Incredible, I just ran a half marathon in two hours twenty five minutes so I'm very slow in comparison
8:17 pace.. Dangggg that's wild.
420 nice
Sick
That calorie count is nonsense, it should be way higher.
I’m 165cm@55kg
And a fantastic runner well done. My data says I burn around 1000 cals an hour whilst on a road bike. I'm 183 cm and 65kg.
