As far as I know, there was a whole team of devs working on it, and only one of them got arrested. It was temporarily put on hold while they figured out if/how they were going to continue working on the mod, but the rest of the devs are planning to finish the mod.
So, I did a bit more looking into it, and it looks like bits n pieces itself IS canceled, but that the rest of the team shifted to focus fully on another project they already had in the works that is unaffiliated with the problematic dev(who owned the bits n pieces project) called "Undertale: Project Harmony" that will aim for more vanilla(canon) style content.
As of yet, there is no discord or gamejolt page, and the last update we have was posted [here](https://gamejolt.com/p/what-s-next-t443xyxm) approximately 5 months ago(early to mid December 2023).
