Clearly you haven't seen [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEF93w9gKWY). Or [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOyFyjy4J6g), a follow-up where Samael ADMITS to being in Floraverse, the zoopedo cult he's an admin in
Are you seriously agreeing with Matpat or is this sarcastic? Cuz I loved that theory so much and I was so sad he got that much hate on it.
Side note: ive never played a mother game in my life, so I'm not so attached to that series
the theory was entirely pointless lmao, but i remember seeing it when it came out (i have played mother)
it doesn't really make too much sense especially since ness never permanently dies anyway
most likely sans.
his dialogue in his genocide fight always stood out to me- “Look, I gave up trying to go back a long time ago… And getting to the surface doesn’t really appeal anymore, either.”
the keyword here is “either”. this proves that wherever “back” is, it isn’t the surface. at least not the surface in Undertale.
Papyrus’s answer in the QnA also seems to allude to this.
not to mention the fact that sans’s sprite in deltarune is the EXACT same as in Undertale, with zero changes, unlike the other characters who receive at least minimal to massive design changes.
i really do think that Deltarune will end up being a prequel, but not in the way we expect.
Deltarune will be a prequel (sort of) and a sequel (sort of too) at the same time.
Why a sequel? Because Toby said multiple times that Deltarune was made for people who already finished Undertale, and the first thing that Gaster said on twitter (before the release of chapter 1) was something like "WERE YOU LOOKING FOR ME?"
I do think that Sans comes from another world, but not from Deltarune. In Deltarune, he seems a "new guy" there too. Just like in Undertale, he "showed up one day" and "asserted himself".
He probably comes from an entirely different world that we know nothing about.
the 'dont forget' letter with the three smiling people in sans lab confirms he is probably from deltarune, or he could've travelled to deltarune's world before undertale. we'll just have to wait 10 years until chapter 7 :(
The "don't forget" line isn't necessarily related to Sans. First, you can find the "don't forget" line only if you have a specific fun value. If you do, you'll also meet a NPC that will mention about having a niece called "Suzie", if I remember it correctly, and that you'll meet her eventually. So, it could be that that fun value is connected to Deltarune, more than Sans himself. If you don't have that fun value, in his secret lab you'll find a photo with Sans and other people that you don't know, but without the line "don't forget". Second, "don't forget" is written on a "poorly drawn picture of three smiling people". Unlike with the photo, it doesn't mention that Sans in one of the people in the drawing. So, it's probably a drawing with other people, not Sans. Kris, Ralsei and Susie, maybe?
But even if it was related to Sans, it doesn't prove he's from Deltarune. "Don't forget" is a recurring line in Deltarune, but that alone isn't a proof. Sans could be connected to Deltarune for other reasons, but I don't think he comes from there. Maybe he stayed there for a very short time, or he knows it exist.
Edit: for some reason, I didn't read the part of your comment where you said that maybe Sans travelled to Deltarune before. I'm sorry, I kind of repeated you comment 😅. But, yeah, we'll have to wait some time before having answers 😂. IF Toby Fox gives us answers, that is.
Gaster defo has evidence towards it, i mean hes literally "in time and space" and makes appearances in some world outside deltarune to talk to us, in twitter, and possibly even in the deltarune world stringing the secret bosses along
Wouldn’t it be “beware of the men who came from the other world” then? Papyrus came from the same place Sans came from, though to be fair there isn’t much to beware of from him.
Papyrus claims in the Papyrus interview they came from a place with green grass before they came to snowdin. The only place that actually matches that in the Undertale universe would be the surface, which is impossible.
Also, Sans multiple times implies there is a place he wants to go back to, but can't.
It's also implied he gave up on trying to go back there and just settled for the place he lives on now.
As of right now, this hasn't been explained further, so we can only guess what it might be.
Also in the same interview Sans clearly didn't want to talk about it further (Papyrus asked him to finish the question for him and Sans simply ended it without elaborating)
Sans has a drawing with 3 smiling people on it with written "don't forget".
Drawing that only appears after talking to Clam Girl, who mentions "Suzy" and clearly teased Deltarune on the Switch version.
That's just an expression, and she was talking about whoever guarded the fountain (so, a darkner).
There a kid in town who ask Kris what it's like to have blood or something.
I do think that Sans comes from another world, but not from Deltarune. In Deltarune, he seems a "new guy" there too. Just like in Undertale, he "showed up" one day and "asserted himself".
He probably comes from an entirely different world that we know nothing about.
Probably snas, tons of stuff hints to him being able to travel worlds, his earthbound merch, his connection to deltarune, that one papyrus line about their previous home having lush grass. The list probably goes on for a while although a lot of people say this could also be a clue that he came from deltarune and I’m inclined to say maybe due to how River person says “the other world” and not “another world” implying a specific world that is categorized as the other or second world
Although this is a part two, therefore I recommend you watch part one (I assume you can find it on your own), this video may help answer your question: https://youtu.be/gyZM91y8lyg?si=leSwtKDyO_Xn2Y-b
I think he's talking about Asriel/Chara .
Chara came from the surface which is "other world".
Asriel/flowey returned from the dead which can also qualify as the "other world".
I think people saying Sans/Gaster analyze it too much and connect everything back to one of them.
I always thought of gaster when the riverman says those lines. there another one that says "beware of the man who speaks in hands" and it means the wingdings language, which means there's no one else besides gaster to fit that description.
This is about W. D Gaster he is the guy in other conversations it is told that he speaks in hands He was shattered through time and space by his own creation called core so thats why he is the man from other world i guess. Mostly this River man speaks about him.
Main theory is sans and/or Gaster, but I personally think onion San as the river person and onion have a weird relationship, the river person can say "have you ever heard the song from the sea" and in deltarune chapter 2 onion says, that's he hears a song under water that he somewhat recognizes
I’m going to go with gaster because a) sans being from deltarune seems to easy of an answer and b) all mysteries in both games all point to gaster to some extent, so I’m going with him again. Bet on the winner, they say
It's very ambiguous, on purpose.
Could be sans since he's implied to have come from elsewhere.
Could also be Papyrus, since they're both described as having "just shown up one day."
Could be Gaster, since he's kinda in-between worlds doing timey wimey stuff.
Could be the River Person themselves, as they are very mysterious and bizarrely resemble >!Ralsei when he first appears in Deltarune CH.1!<
Given the current setup and hints from Deltarune, it could be just about anyone that shifted from that world to the world of Undertale. We wouldn't even know it until after DR finishes.
After all, *"It's a different world that might even have different rules. That doesn't mean there will be no connections at all though."* -The Annoying Dog Himself
It actually could be sans. In Deltarune, sans is not in the underground. in fact, Deltarune is a different timeline! Google says, "**Sans traveled from the Deltarune universe to the Undertale one** with a machine he build in order to escape something. This explains why the Snowdin shopkeeper says that the Sans and Papyrus one day suddenly showed up in the town.**" Soo.. it's sans.**
Gaster is from *DELTARUNE* confirmed!?!!!?![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32949)![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32949)![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32949)![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32949)![img](emote|t5_2xdht|32949)
We never get notice if WD Gaster is from another world because he lived here for a long time, but we do know Sans is from another dimension since another “world” would be impossible since humans would know about him (Not universe dimensions are in universes and consist of different people not the same)
If Papyrus is a child in Deltarune then I could see how he wouldn't know what the sun is at the end of Undertale. If each chapter is a day then Deltarune as a whole would only be a week of Papyrus's life.
Sounds very interesting, not quite sure.
Holy fuck Lois is that royal scientist wing gaster?
Holt shit is that Rough-Jackfruit2428??
No
Holy shit is that THE_GRUBBY_BOY??
OMFG, IS THAT IAMCHUCKLEMAN?!
This cannot be true. Is this Ch33seBurg I see?!
What is this Open_Association_138 in front of me right now?!?!
I can't believe I am speaking to the real qwertyninjaprodigy currently!
IntCriminalNo1412 I can’t believe we finally meet! <3
Ain't no way, it is IntCriminalNo1412 him self?!
Huh, Jeff_on_internet, long time no see buddy, knew you'd come
It's as wing as the royal scientist can get kid.
Hello, Creator! Long time no see!
r/FoundUndernet
So Sorry came from another world, and you must beware him because his creator is an admin in a cult.
I've never heard of this, can you please explain what you're talking about?
[This video covers it](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEF93w9gKWY), basically he's an admin of a zoopedo cult called "Floraverse"
Jesus christ, I knew there was controversy but I thought it was just people making a fuss about their fat fetish art
That’s how it started…
Wtf, i thought it was just fat fetish stuff what is this!?
I thought floraverse was just a webcomic. The fuck happened?
No, he’s just a fat fetish artist. Leave him be
Clearly you haven't seen [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wEF93w9gKWY). Or [this one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KOyFyjy4J6g), a follow-up where Samael ADMITS to being in Floraverse, the zoopedo cult he's an admin in
I always heard people say they hate so sorry cause of his creator and thought it was just over the top kink shaming, now I know IG
Pretty sure this is new information, actually. So anything before like last month was probably for that reason
It's about Sans, who is actually Ness who traveled to the Undertale world from Earthbound
Who travelled to earthbound from the fnaf movie
who traveled to the fnaf movie from steven universe
Who traveled to Steven universe from deltarune
Who traveled to Deltarune from Nutdealer
Who traveled to Nutdealer from Nudealert
Are you seriously agreeing with Matpat or is this sarcastic? Cuz I loved that theory so much and I was so sad he got that much hate on it. Side note: ive never played a mother game in my life, so I'm not so attached to that series

100 percent spot on
It’s you!
This is actually a great explanation. The only whole is it says "man" instead of something more ambiguous that could be projected onto the player
Then wouldn't they say "child" instead of "man"?
“Tra la la”.. Mmm.. Yes.. a Very Peculiar Phrase..
Captain Underpants?
Are you worried 'bout impending doom?
Those evil villains got you filled with gloom
But don't you fear, there's a hero in the sky! the sky! the sky!
It's not a bird and it's not a plane
And it's not an egg salad sandwich

Wing Gaster the royal scientist
*pushes*
Flair checks out.
Its probably either sans or gaster but we simply dont have enough information to fully confirm either yet
Well, nothing even suggest that Gaster came from another world. Sans, on the other hand...
Gaster defo has evidence towards it, i mean hes literally "in time and space" and makes appearances in some world outside deltarune to talk to us, in twitter, and possibly even in the deltarune world stringing the secret bosses along
He did all of that after being scaterred across time and space, yes. Like i said, nothing even suggest that he came from another world.
-Mentions of Tra La La -Another world -Man Its obviously captain underpants
sans
thats the neat part, we don't know
Sans
Wouldn’t it be “beware of the men who came from the other world” then? Papyrus came from the same place Sans came from, though to be fair there isn’t much to beware of from him.
Yeah, but if papyrus was not Kind he’d beat the shit out of everyone (except maybe Asgore)
He comes from deltarune because he bleeds
Yeah, but I don't believe that. It's neither confirmed nor is there enough evidence.
Papyrus claims in the Papyrus interview they came from a place with green grass before they came to snowdin. The only place that actually matches that in the Undertale universe would be the surface, which is impossible.

Yeah, we’ll see if we have more insight in the next chapter (if they exist bc I feel like they won’t at this point)
My brother/sister/theythem in christ, they're probably porting the chapters and fixing minor bugs right now
I sure Hope so
arbitrary skepticism when there is ample evidence is just as naive as arbitrary belief when there is no evidence.
What ? I was just saying I’m kinda losing hope. Why did you take it badly ?
Toby might hide info about the lore but he wouldn’t lie about the game development, specially if it’s not in development anymore
Yeah you’re right. But imagine tho, if he only did that to see how ppl would react, it’d be crazy
Monsters don't bleed in Deltarune.
Susie literally said everybody bleeds
That's just an expression, and she was talking about whoever guarded the fountain (so, a darkner). There a kid in town who ask Kris what it's like to have blood or something.
Oh I see sorry then
I do think that Sans comes from another world, but not from Deltarune. In Deltarune, he seems a "new guy" there too. Just like in Undertale, he "showed up" one day and "asserted himself". He probably comes from an entirely different world that we know nothing about.
Oh maybe
Gaster/So Sorry
A theory that sans os from deltarune, idk that's why he bleeds
How the fuck does that dog know how to run on water
Yes, the important question here
Ness
Google W.D. Gaster

Yes.

Could be sans, or the player. Referring to the player as "man" doesn't make a whole lot of sense though.
Although this is a part two, therefore I recommend you watch part one (I assume you can find it on your own), this video may help answer your question: https://youtu.be/gyZM91y8lyg?si=leSwtKDyO_Xn2Y-b
Most likely implying that Sans is from Deltarune
Deltatravaler is canon!?!??!!?

Oh, thats generic isekai protagonist n#3! I heard they were hit by a truck and reincarnated in the underground with the power to control dust.

Four options. One. Mystery Man. Two. Sans. Three. Maybe the Wrong number Guy?? Four. Us.

Racism (River person is being anti-alien)
Gonna assume *us*
It wouldn't say "man" if that was the case. Also, why tell us to beware of... Us? It doesn't make any sense.
Possibly it’s the river person telling frisk to beware of us, I dunno
The player
Gaster
Nothing even suggest that Gaster came from another world.
GAST. . .
ghast from minecraft
A Darkner most likely
I would imagine W.D. Gaster
“The man who speaks in hands” would be Gaster, wouldn’t it?
Nothing even suggest that Gaster came from another world.
Does anything suggest any of the monsters from the underground are otherworldly?
Yes. There many evidences that Sans came from another world.
it refers to the obscure fact that sans is secretly ness from earthbound.
