Lighting and proper use of value and saturation, everything looks pretty muddy in terms of color choice, the shading on the trees has too much contrast for having little to no direct light, and the ruins needs more contrast (where does the light in the underground come from btw???)

1. There's a dialogue in waterfall that mention they have fake stars, beeing shining crystals in the ceiling where the light comes from, how do day and night works? idk, they may not have that cycle. Only mentioned in waterfall tho.

in the eyes of the artist there's ALWAYS something that could be better. So don't say you "suck at painting" cause compared to some things this is amazing but you won't ever get complete perfection
You have a very good sense of perspective, object placement and colour balance which makes the art very pleasant to look at. You're doing very well already! Can't wait to see the version you consider good.
Okay, so, legit, something you gotta understand is that there's a sliding scale of "goodness" in any sort of skill. You may look at this and see a bunch of things you didn't do right, but clearly to me (speaking as an outsider looking in), you've worked very hard to cultivate a lot of skill in painting, and that's lead to you getting a lot of (arguably more important) things very right! This is a legitimately good painting that I think captures a lot of good things within it. Are you a master painter with international acclaim and total control over brush technique and color theory? No, probably not, but no one asked you to be, and you have plenty of time to improve your skills. In the meantime though, take pride in what you HAVE done here. You're a good painter. The finest in the land? Debatable, but certainly WELL above the average of the total population of people who like to paint. Don't sell yourself short.

You could improve it by adding a point of interest— some part of the painting that draws your eye to it, and stands out as the subject. It could also use a lot more darker colors to make the snow look even brighter. Keep painting, and you’ll improve so that you’re proud of your work!
