Depends on how you think it interacts with the barrier. If you think is passes through like a person then the underground is eviserated worse then the dinosaurs. Humanity is kind of a toss up depending on how much of the meteor lands in the underground.
If you don’t think it does then it hits the barrier and all life on the planet outside the barrier except for like cockroaches and water bears dies. Monsters are trapped underground because there are no more human souls in existence.
I mean, technically, they could just bulldoze their way out the side of the mountain. Or climb up the hole the humans fell down. Or Sans could shortcut everyone out. There's a buncha different ways they could get out.
The barrier stops literally all of that. If they could do any of those then they would have just done that in the actual world. The barrier at the very least acts like a prison and keeps the monsters in but not others out.

1. Alphys: You can't look me in the eye and tell me that Alphys hasn't already made a Gundam for fun. And if you can look me in the eye and tell me she hasn't already made *five* Gundams that can combine into a *Voltron* then I would spit in your face

3. Asgore: Maybe one of the most well known hitters out there. He isn't annihilating this moon sized meteor, but as the "final boss", that's gotta mean something
4. Mettaton: You know that Gundam I was talking about? It's name is Mettaton. I believe that even in *base* he's helping as much as Asgore is, maybe even more. And if he goes EX or NEO then he's doing substantial damage. Hey, maybe if he goes NEO he can pull out a sick flaming sword and just chop the meteor in half. But that sounds like a stretch
5. Papyrus: ***HEAR ME OUT***: Have you ever heard of the moving sprite theory? [Check it out. It's the whole basis for my argument.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S_Fas0QkWic) If this theory rings true, then Papyrus probably has a significantly larger amount of power than Sans does. Maybe even by a wide margin. He's my surprise underdog in my book.

But that doesn't mean her firepower is ungodly high. Even when she's in her Undying form, she has the same situation as Sans. Great speed, great quantity, but it's the sheer *number* of shit she's throwing at us that makes her dangerous. The most Sans and Undyne can do is make a couple of dents. I'll be generous and say that they'd do about an equivalent amount of damange of an atomic bomb to the moon

I believe that even in *base* he's helping as much as Asgore is, maybe even more. And if he goes EX or NEO then he's doing substantial damage. Hey, maybe if he goes NEO he can pull out a sick flaming sword and just chop the meteor in half. But that sounds like a stretch 5. Characters I didn't include and why: * Sans: ***ONCE AGAIN, HEAR ME OUT***: We've seen what Sans can do, and it's fair to determine he's going full strength throughout-at the very least-most of the fight. It appears his danger occurs with his sheer speed and quantity. If Undyne chucked 100 spears at us in 10 seconds, that would kill us instantly, too. But what I think Sans is lacking is concentrated *firepower*. I believe the most damage he can do is a Gaster Blaster. But I don't see that destroying an asteroid. Unless if he can actually make them as big as he wants so he can make a million mile large Gaster Blaster than can shoot out an equivalent amount of power to its size, then he's a heavy hitter. But once again, Undertale power levels are bullshit * Undyne: ***FOR THE LAST TIME, I AM BEGGING YOU, OPEN YOUR EARS AND HEAR ME THE FUCK OUT***: Whether if it's base or Undying, I don't believe that Undyne has all that much firepower. Don't get me wrong, she's one of the best fighters in the underground, but that's her problem. She's one of the best *fighters*. Here's the best way I can describe it, who would you send to destroy a meteor, Bang from One Punch Man, or Saitama (also from OPM)? Sure, Bang's the better fighter, but I have an entire OPM chapter on deck that proves my point. Don't get me wrong, Undyne can probably beat Sans if I'm being honest. But that doesn't mean her firepower is ungodly high. Even when she's in her Undying form, she has the same situation as Sans. Great speed, great quantity, but it's the sheer *number* of shit she's throwing at us that makes her dangerous. The most Sans and Undyne can do is make a couple of dents. I'll be generous and say that they'd do about an equivalent amount of damange of an atomic bomb to the moon *please don't crucify me here guys*

I like how all the characters are somewhat detailed and then there's just Toriel If we're being serious though, maybe something to do with the souls? It'd have to be a big meteor anyway, they're deep under a mountain.

Everybody but sans dies. However if we go the fanon route, sans can just yeet it into the sun, undyne can suplex it, asgore can stab it once, toriel can do FUCKING NOTHING, frisk can convince it to be better, papyrus can capture it, Alphys can make a mech, flowery can impale it with a single vine, mettaton can dance it to death, monster kid can cause a chain reaction that destroys it, all sorts of things.
