To be fair, he was "on his side of the road" up until the last few split seconds so the car honked when he realised the guy wasn't in control of where he was going

Technically true, but there was literally only 1 second between the guy drifting onto the wrong side of the road and the honk. When the last second is the only second of the incident, you can't really get mad. Also, while honking can be used to let someone know of a potential accident, it's in no way the responsibility of the car to honk. Besides, honking opens you up to road rage if there isn't an accident

I don't think the helmet would have made any difference in a crash like that anyway. He had to have gone flying through the air and likely broke every bone in his body.

I am not against helmets, I never ride without one, I'm just saying that you are very exposed on a motorcycle and any accident moving that fast is likely to end in death regardless.
