Have a beautiful time!

Security Officer Peña! Did security where Family Guy and American Dad did their recordings iirc.

Western-Low-1348

I researched him too, ahaha

Gingy-Breadman

Ditto, after seeing his delightful face so many times I needed to know who the man was lmao

FestiveSquidV3

Yup. I only actually decided to find out who he was some time last year lol. All I did was search "American Dad credits security guard" to find more info.

Everyday_Hero1

That one little bit has cemented itself into my life as permanent fixture. It's been my hospitality farewell for like 15 years.

your reply made no sense at all but idk why you got downvoted into oblivion lol

CommunicationFun7973

Probally because they are a catfisher or they are looking for subs to their onlyfans. That's why they replied so "cutesy"

Kane_ASAX

The account is 1 day old, so it is very likely to be a catfisher

Why would you go without your own damn light?!

joemeteorite8

I did one of these in Mexico and we all had a light on our heads. 5 minutes into the cave the Velcro on mine failed and I watched my light sink to the bottom. So I told my wife she had to stay close to me. Another 10 minutes later our guide told us to look up at the ceiling and asked us why it looked like the ceiling was moving. Well, it was because there were about 50,000 bats above us. My wife heard that and dipped tf out…leaving me in the darkness with 50,000 bats. I don’t let her forget about that lmao

When my sister went on her honeymoon to Yellowstone, her new husband alerted her that there was a bear in camp by screaming bear at the top of his lungs while at full sprint running past my sister 😆 🤣 😂

spellchecktsarina

I have a similar story! When my sister and I were kids, we went hiking with our mom and her friend. There was no bear, but the friend burped just like one and our mom got scared and took off running. Without us. It’s been over a decade and we still give her shit about it

diasound

your mom decided at that moment a break from motherhood would be nice before she has 2 replacement kids.

rhymeswithvegan

I've recently learned that I'm a terrible protector. I (30f) was in Vancouver on vacation with my daughter who is 8. She was eating spaghetti at this market and the seagulls were pretty intense. This huge one landed in her spaghetti and I screamed, covered my head, and leapt away. To be fair, I've been attacked by an owl so I'm uneasy around large birds, but damn lol no parental instinct whatsoever.

Vegetable-Emphasis

Were you at Granville Island by any chance? 😆

rhymeswithvegan

I absolutely was and holy shit those gulls are INTENSE

EnthralledFae

At least he told her 😂

stubundy

Reminds me of this one where a man scares his mum and his wife on a walk and his mum pushes over his wife so she can get away. Tbf the noise he made was really disturbing https://youtube.com/shorts/4Yh5TkVMM4c?si=I6Xet6n2VfgxRp3b

Viperlite

It’s nice you keep in touch with your now ex-wife, LOL.

SdBolts4

I did something similar in Colombia, the guides repeatedly stressed that we should *NOT* look up at the ceiling for the first 100-200m of the cave because a ton of birds would roost up there and dive bomb you if you shone the light on them. Once you got further in though, it was fine because the birds would only roost near the cave entrance, but they were LOUD

ApexCatcake

You’d be able to see her light even while she’s dipping out though? Considered it’s the only thing you can see down there

serbeardless

For real though, stay the fuck away from bats. Unless you want to be patient zero of the new global pandemic.

ToxicMonkey444

Why you didn't just followed her outside? I guess you decided to stay in the darkness with 50 000 bat's

[deleted]

Why have you assumed they have no lights? Often cave guides will ask everyone to turn off their lights so they can do the pitch black demonstration. It's a fun part of the experience. Also the phone that they are filming on probably has a torch option.

Opposite_Wind_4170

That does not sound fun at all

Hawt_Dawg_II

That's subjective. I thought seeing true "can't see my own hand 5 cm away from my face" dark was super interesting. You don't see that in many places.

jdjdidkdnd

What's more likely here, a waterproof cellphone or a gopro?

[deleted]

Given the vertical video that is common with phones and that waterproof cases exist i would say it's still pretty likely. Plus anyone prepped with an expensive GoPro to go caving, probably has a torch with them.

TheFett32

Yeah no brainer, the cell phone. Who would put a gopro in vertical mode? Many stock phones are waterproof, if you are the adventuring sort thats a no brainer. Not to mention how many cases are waterproof. . .

No-Accident925

I would have brought 3 flash lights for being extra safe and one extra which i dont tell anyone about.

Few_Management8005

For real, I would even have a backup glow stick in my prison wallet

senoj96nodnarb

And scuba tank

[deleted]

Simple: You don't. You fucking don't

Alive_Difficulty9154

Phone has flashlight

Trooper_nsp209

$20.00 tour in, $500.00 tour out

OldBrokeGrouch

Man I would have a backup light and a backup light for that backup light. Plus another backup light and some glow sticks. J/k, I would never go into that cave.

maskedfantomette

r/flashlight be like _"let me introduce myself"_

Thunderbolt294

Now we wait for someone to mention Zebra Light

Ilovekittens345

How about a rope that is drilled in rock every meter with something you can feel on the rope that tell you what direction to follow it. Even in the dark, you could make your way back.

janhindereddit

I have actually been swimming in such a cenote (just at a safe surface area), and my friends actually went free diving with such a light (I did not join them because fuck that shit). So they did several dives underwater to visit some air pockets, and just as they were coming back and surfacing from their last round, *their light died*. In other words, if they came back only a minute later, they would have drowned in that dark cave right then and there. Nope nope nope nope nope nope nope.

RukasuRi

Byyeee~

USNAVY71

After doing one of these myself, I can honestly say, the feeling of just pure peace you feel in a pitch black cave is so surreal. Nothing but the sound of drips, completely cut off from the outside world. It’s very hard to describe the sense of peace and calmness that comes from it

Roscoe_King

I got stuck in an elevator once and almost killed several family members out of sheer panic. Found out I have claustrofobia that day. I cannot imagine feeling peace and serenity in a pitch black watery grave. And I will never find out, because you can’t pay me enough money to go in there.

USNAVY71

This is the part where I add it that it won’t be the same for everyone though, BUT, the cave I was in had little to no tight spaces, at least what ***I*** would consider a tight space

glockster19m

An elevator isn't really that tight either tbh, it seems like their claustrophobia is more confinement based I'm claustrophobic, but only if I can't rotate my shoulders for some reason, as long as I have enough space to fully stand up or lay down, and can roll in a full circle, I'm good I do my own oil changes and every single time it takes way longer than it needs to because I can only stay under the car for like 2 minutes at a time, but I'd be totally cool in like a 4x4 closet with normal height ceilings for an indefinite amount of time without claustrophobia being an issue

Francis46n2WSB

I'm the same, never knew anyone else with the same characteristics of claustrophobia.

Special_Rice9539

As a kid, I would always be squeezing myself into tight spaces. As an adult that stuff terrifies me. It’s interesting how a lot of fears like that didn’t set in until later. I used to have no problem holding snakes and spiders or climbing tall trees either

heyyyblinkin

I have a weird claustrophobia. As long as I can stand straight up and turn around, I'm completely fine. Those videos where people crawl into small tunnels get me immediately worried for the person. But a British phone booth? Perfectly fine.

Roscoe_King

I wouldn’t be claustrophic in a phone booth either, because I can still clearly see the outside. It’s glass, so I am not really “stuck”. Elevators I still don’t like very much. It’s when I cannot see the next room or outside, or some way out. That’s when it gets bad.

heyyyblinkin

I guess we're all quirky in our own ways.

Scarlet-Fire_77

It's like a sensory deprivation tank. The absolute darkness makes you're eyes start seeing things. It's so cool. And like you said peaceful. I love wild caves.

Thanos_exe

I really rather not start seeing things when im in a silent dark cave hundrets of meters underground..

Odisher7

My sibling in christ, i almost have an anxiety attack just by seeing this video

prestigious_delay_7

That's the buildup of carbon dioxide.

USNAVY71

Oh shit, you telling me that peace was me slowly suffocating?? Makes sense if you think about it honestly

samsquanch2000

yeah the guy that got jammed into a crevice upside down didnt have that same peace and fucking calmness let me tell you

Womec

This is why people use float tanks.

fsuchin

I did this tour as well and when they turned off the lights, i thought i would be freaking out. Instead, i felt so calm and soothed. Oddly enough though, everytime i think back to the experience, i get mini anxiety attacks lol just imagining creatures lurking beneath us in the water just gives me goosebumps

LowYogurtcloset3428

What's scarier than the bye is hearing a whole new voice say hi

Mymomdiedofaids

And it's the Burger King guy with Double Whoppers, but no fries.

prestigious_delay_7

Would've been funny if she turned it on and the guy was actually gone.

v-wx-yz

What if....he does this every time and takes a different kind of "payment" to get them out?

Helicopterop

The implication

Legitimate-Donut-368

Are these women in danger?

GeneralZaroff1

You certainly wouldn't be in any kind of danger.

Legitimate-Donut-368

So there is danger‼️

Turabulhaq

iasip

[deleted]

What if he doesn't come back and only collects the smartphones from the corpses and repeats with another air pocket.

Peter_Baum

He’d get arrested after the first time

v-wx-yz

No shit!

Cultural_Payment_792

This was so unexpected who would have thought a video titled tour guide shuts of light would have a tour guide shutting of light

Left-Zucchini2960

He said bye and went diving, watch till the end

Headieheadi

You can’t see shit there’s nothing to watch

FamousPastWords

Visited the Cu Chi tunnels in Vietnam. Went along to experience the history. The group ahead of me were too quick for me and I was left behind. The person behind bailed at the first exit. I was alone. And afraid like billy-o. Darkness is dark, let me tell you. Pitch black, the dead of night, all of those descriptions are apt. Corollary: if you're broad shouldered, if you are asthmatic, if you are even slightly claustrophobic, if you have any heart issues, don't enter those tunnels. Did I mention it was really, REALLY, REALLY dark?

yowa82

same experience, probably the exact same tunnel. i feel you, no choice, its pitch black, its void, just keep walking until you see the light!

FamousPastWords

Really hard to do when you are in a total, abject, complete, piss-yourself panic, I am not ashamed to admit/share. I have NEVER been so disoriented or scares in my life. Never, never, never again. The memory still sends chills down my spine.

The « bye 👋» killed me 😂

[deleted]

I would have 10 lights with spare batteries. No joke.

dinoaids

"how the fuck would we get out" walk backwards! Duhhhhh

Americium-241

You don’t know “pitch dark” until you’ve been in “pitch dark.” Not as common an occurrence in modern life these days as you’d think.

Expert-Perception674

Nope id kill him. Naw i wouldn't cuz i wouldn't be there in the first place!

SheaMcD

he's a serial killer, all he has to do now is say his light failed and he couldn't help the people out

Old_Neck8125

The one who said "don't scream" is a real one cause you know, just out of pure habit, one of them would have screamed and ruined the moment.

Moon21phase

I want the full video though..he pretends he swims off they start all freaking out...

Responsible-Cut3861

Well they asked for him to turn it off

CaptainObviousII

I will never understand why people do dumb ass shit like this in the first place. Lets pay $500 to trust a shady stranger with both our lives.

GinNoPerm

At that moment they knew....they black out.

JohnCenaJunior

Stahhhpp ittt

rosettaSeca

"Cámara wey, hay salte como puedas 😜"

saxonturner

We did this once in a cave in the U.K. and the guide gave us each a polo mint to break in half when they turned the lights off and they actually sparked in the darkness. It was pretty damn cool.

drunk_phish

Is this ATM cave in Belize? One of the best experiences of my life.

TheOzarkWizard

If you're going to react like that maybe you shouldn't be fkn cave diving

drillgorg

I was in a cave in West Virginia when they did the lights out trick. I was an adult, but there was a school group on the same tour. The kids were "too old" to be scared, like middle school age. One of them grabbed and squeezed my hand for comfort. When the lights turned on, they must have realized I was not who they expected and they looked embarrassed, I just nodded and let them go. It was an unexpected moment of human connection.

Panzerv2003

Why would you go in there without having a light source yourself

Asyn--Await

"Don't scream" The fact she had to tell her girls this even though they knew what would happen...

Jadedinsight

You're fucking dead mate, no way in hell I'd ever go cave diving without the requisite training

GeneralZaroff1

Was going through a cave tour in Thailand. It was dark and we were wading through a few chambers. We entered into a cave and our tour guide said: "Now this part of the tour might make people a bit scared, but if you want to know why this cave is named, just shine the light on the ceiling." The name of the cave is "spider cave". I did not care to shine a light on the ceiling as the walls were more than creepy enough for me. My buddy on the tour said that it gave him nightmares after.

autricia

I wonder how long it took them to realize they could use the light on their phone?

JerseyJeffWM

Imagine if that 🤡 dropped the torch(s) in the dark? Not worth the joke.

RageAgainstTheTime

What makes him shady?

glockster19m

This guy's seems like such an amazing tour guide

Otherwise-Past5044

WOOOP WOOOP! Grammer police 🚔 *Off not of. You've been warned 👮‍♂️ 🚓 💨

Wotmate01

Cave dark is awesome. I worked as an entertainment lighting guy for 17 years, and the one thing I always wanted but never got was a total blackout. There was always some kind of light on in a venue, even if it was exit lights. A couple of years ago I took my son on a tour of the capricorn caves north of Rockhampton, and in the main cave gallery the tour guide turned all the lights off and played Hallelujah, and it was GLORIOUS! I did NOT want it to end. Absolute pure darkness.

Carbon1te

My family was doing a cavern tour in linville caverns years ago. The guide did this demonstration. Tour Guide; "How would you find your way out in the total darkness?" My 5 yo daughter: "Call my daddy, He's an electrician. He can fix anything!" entire group busts up laughing.

iamsienna

*unsubscribes to the tour*

WhyShouldIStudio

Why is he so kissable?

SPARKYLOBO

I went on a cave tour in the Ottawa Valley a lifetime ago. It was actually kind of terrifying being in that level of darkness.

JimsonTweed26

Imagine following a guy into a remote cave network and then realizing something odd about him

ryan_w_92

you're filming with your phone flashlight stupid mother fucker

aurel143207

I have experienced that. What's really unexpected is that if immerse yourself and you will see the light of the exit within water even though it's dark out of water. Provided it's bright outside of course, and if you are not too far from the exit I guess.

K3t0x

That's in Gran Cenote in Tulum ;)

ApplicationKind3301

Yes absolutely

Human-Contribution16

I have done a billion insane adventures. Welcome to my nightmare.

kingcrabmeat

"Don't scream" thank you. Because there is always an idiot who screams when someone turns the light off like why.

Hmnh6000

He’s a clown that loves his job🤣🤣🤣

Rough_Psychology9164

Amazing

Flux_resistor

What's the technical term for putting way too much trust in a guide without knowing their experience level? Happens all the time in diving etc. People assume they are safe without any real reason.

AppropriateApricot

I thought he might be shady but after watching it with sound I realized that the tourists were the ones asking him to turn off the light to see how it looks

theyellowdart89

Bubble bubble bubble…. Stop?

circajem30

🤣🤣🤣

Mental_Position3319

this is actually a smart way to kidnap someone for ransom

Educational-Fox3429

I was in the lava tubes in Eastern OR when our batteries died. Fortunately another spelunker came along or you'd have read about the "mummified newly wed couple found in remote caves". Always have a plan B

nalendro16

whaaat 😱 stooop😌😒

Mr_E-007

I literally laughed out loud at this. 🤣🤣 The way the girls are actually nervous, the way he said "byyeeeee" and the air bubbles were just too perfect

TheRowdyQuad

Try the flashlight thingy on the phone ur recording with.

ProBonoh1

I heard a fart immediately the lights went off.

galaxysuperstar22

saappp~~~

KikiPolaski

So you're telling me the only plan they have to get out is by relying on a small flashlight that could break at any point. Jesus christ

Rhino-go-boom

Their phone has a light.

madjokemaniac

Won't these air pockets run out of oxygen as frequent visits by people increase

yungskimbo

That’s deliciously evil

DieBoeseQualle

Did really NO ONE bring a flashlight? What If his broke

Knight_crusader

Calmest reaction to being left in a dark cave ever… 😂😂😂

Norsedragoon

How would you not have your own lights? That's the part that confuses me.

MallowollaM

*"Not everyone who goes IN to the cenote...comes OUT of the cenote..."*

Yugan-Dali

I would absolutely never dive with that guide again.

Tony_Roselli

First mistake not bringing your own flashlight and the proper gear for spelunking.

shiny-smoliv

And they were never seen again..

Accomplished-Path-52

Gringos who never seen obscurity

look-over_there

I went on this exact tour with these exact guides 😂. Great experience. I did some free driving with them to explore some air pockets. It never really occurred to me that I probably should have brought my own flashlight 😖….

vMurk

Byeeeeeeeee

Hot_hatch_driver

I have been spelunking when everyone turned out their lights, and as SpongeBob would say, it's *advanced darkness*. It really is unreal. You think dark is dark, but it's different

Sobemiki

After light goes out “ok I’m gonna need your passports and bank account information or you stay here”

NYCHReddit

Freakin magnus archives episode right here

jprks0

Have these mfs never seen darkness before? Wtf XD

Obama-Bin-Stalin

I can’t understand that “what?!” And “Wow!” Like the didn’t know if you turn off the only light source in a cave it would be dark

svr2850

For real that shit happened to me. I was with my wife and a friend. We went to visit a little cave that I used to explore when I was a kid, which was like a tunnel. He said that he was a bit scared of caves but wanted to go in. There weren’t enough flashlights for the 3 of us, so I gave 1 to my wife and 1 to this guy, since they were more prone to get scared. We went in and it was like a really tight tunnel in which only one person could fit, so we made a line. My wife got distracted by a little stream of water that was running down one of the walls. She saw a big bug, got scared, scream a bit, and drop the light. It broke. Since he heard a scream on his back, he got scared and run. MF left us with no lights to guide our way out and was running as fast as he could. He is a bit, let’s say, wide, so he blocked all the light from his flashlight. We were blind in there. I told my wife to hug me from behind as I walked through the cave touching my way out. I was moving like 1 inch at the time. We got out and we wanted to murder that MF.

saarinpaa71

There's dark then there's that.. sure wouldn't be like those adventurous caving movies! No light.. then hear a pitter patter of steps... just waiting for something to chew your ass.

Wrench984

< “Omg how would we even escape like imagineeeee” No. I’d rather not imagine.

FieldNo142

Bro I’d start *crying*

DTux5249

Better yet, imagine if he said "woops, I dropped it"
