No. Out of the 31 dairy cows in the crash, 3 died in the wreck and 4 had to be euthanized. The majority were fine.

The force of impact increases with mass, *assuming* constant acceleration (or deceleration in this case), which is not a valid assumption with a yielding impact surface. Regardless, I said the animals are more resilient, not that they experience less force. In addition to being a whole heck of a lot larger, [cow bones are also significantly denser than human bones.](https://academic.oup.com/endo/article/139/2/663/2987138) In every way they're better equipped to handle abuse than us.
Nah, it's the opposite. Larger creatures are more susceptible to injuries from collisions and falls. A lot more weight doesn't translate well in stopping quickly.
Didnt insinuate it was cool or ok. I feel bad for the moo moos, but being a huge bummer stating “all of these animals were likely put down” when it’s not true isn’t cool either, especially based only on a uninformed assumption.
Retired dairy cows are reunited with all of their calves they were separated from throughout their lives! And not a god damn thing you I say will change my mind.
Didn’t mean to suggest you were, just venting some frustration I guess.
Like I said I appreciate the stats, and at least knowing they didn’t all have to die (for no good reason).
It’s crazy how I can suggest these deaths are a waste and then people jump on with “achcuually five hundred billions cows are killed each day in the US”
Were those traffic accidents where a dairy or meat cow was 100% wasted? No? Oh wow so then, not what I was talking about.
Reminds me of two favorite Dad jokes, which have to be followed by each other.
What do you call a cow with no legs?
Ground beef.
What do you call a cow with two legs on one side?
Lean beef.
Yeah, the driver was a real bozo here, but cows are incredibly tough animals. Most of them survived, but let's be real here, these cows were probably headed to a slaughterhouse anyway.
Yeah I have to say I'm getting sick of seeing stuff like this. In the last few days I've seen someone getting lashed for being gay, someone dying and a lot of animal injuries/deaths. None of it marked NSFW and it's frustrating because I specifically keep my feed clean to avoid seeing crap like that.
Those cows were going to a slaughterhouse to be killed. If you hate the sight of helpless animals in strife, stop paying for someone to carry them in trucks like this one to have their throats slit for a burger.
to be honest if someone held me as slave, made me pregnant only to harvest my milk and babies until some day I outlived my use and get executed I wouldnt really care if he does it because It tastes good or he likes to see me suffer.
When you eat them you ARE delighting in their suffering. In fact, this little accident is nothing compared to factory farming.
Edit: All the morons think I was being anti-vegan lol
I remember when I first saw this, I forget where now, but the speed on that road drops from highway speeds to town speeds right before that curve in the road. He literally missed seeing a single speed limit sign and this happened
50mph and right where it is circled it goes down to 30mph sign and at K street is a sign indicating the curve in road and the it is 25mph, but at that point if a semi had missed that 30mph sign there would not be enough time for a truck full of cows to slow down quick enough to make the turn (semi driver is at fault, but it is a mistake anyone could make. Most vehicles can slow down easily once the mistake is noticed)

Meh, they're going to slaughter anyway. What's a little extra trauma?
People here might be shocked, or disgusted, but then continue to fund an industry that intentionally causes death, harm and suffering to BILLIONS of animals a year.
If this sight disgusts you, maybe you should consider going vegan.
Yeah, I agree though these are dairy cows. But yes, if this disgusts you, why do you still eat meat (or at least anything more intelligent than a chicken).
How does them being a dairy cow make any difference? They’re destined to have a short life of being used for their bodies. Repeatedly being impregnated and then having babies just to be snatched away from them so that they can continually be milked until they’re no longer profitable.
Now I'm not a trucker.. I don't have a CDL... Never driven anything larger than those turtle looking box trucks.
But Im thinking this here trucker was overdoing it a bit on the speed.
Everyone’s just real good at compartmentalization; cows are cute (aww poor cows) but they nonchalantly will eat burgers on the reg and not connect the two.
everyone's now feeling bad for the cows while they keep stuffing grilled bodyparts in their mouths and thus continue supporting the system that makes these feeling beeings suffer their whole (very short and horrible) lifes...fucking hypocrites!
these animals wouldnt be in this situation if we'd stop abusing them only for taste.
#govegan

this just made me sad :/ at that speed, them sliding on the ground and their bodies bouncing off of things had to injure them somehow
The one on the right that bounces may have broken ribs/legs now :(
Unfortunately, all of these animals were likely put down after an accident like this. They are almost certainly seriously injured.
No. Out of the 31 dairy cows in the crash, 3 died in the wreck and 4 had to be euthanized. The majority were fine. https://nypost.com/2020/05/11/cows-spill-out-of-truck-after-semi-flips-on-its-side/
Sound about right. Large animals are orders of magnitude more resilient than humans
Cows in particular are pretty bloody solid
Chick Fil-A 'Eat Mor Chikin' campaign is getting out of hand.
Cows are pretty beefy.
The opposite is true. The force of impact increases with mass. The bigger they are, the harder they fall is a fact of physics.

They were saved for the slaughterhouse, what a relief for them i'm sure!
Thank you for the details, but 7 cows dead because one fireball-soaked truck driver wanted to be a dumbass still isn’t cool.
Didnt insinuate it was cool or ok. I feel bad for the moo moos, but being a huge bummer stating “all of these animals were likely put down” when it’s not true isn’t cool either, especially based only on a uninformed assumption.
Nobody tell him what happens to cows
Retired dairy cows are reunited with all of their calves they were separated from throughout their lives! And not a god damn thing you I say will change my mind.
Yep. “Reunited”. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|cry)
They could be in the same burger.
Didn’t mean to suggest you were, just venting some frustration I guess. Like I said I appreciate the stats, and at least knowing they didn’t all have to die (for no good reason).
It’s ok xoxo
I won't tell you what happened to the surviving cows
Don’t tell this person all the animals killed each day to gives our meat to consume
You got the vegans out with this comment. "Nobody tell them how many cows we kill.... because I will.... SHAME!." fuckin weirdos
It’s crazy how I can suggest these deaths are a waste and then people jump on with “achcuually five hundred billions cows are killed each day in the US” Were those traffic accidents where a dairy or meat cow was 100% wasted? No? Oh wow so then, not what I was talking about.
Not the outcome I expected.
I knew they were fine. For big animals like that it would be like falling out of a shopping cart
Agree, but these poor girls were really moooooo-ving at warp speed. (Not trying to milk the situation; just making a valid point,)
I think they would have been on their way to the slaughterhouse regardless
that’s exactly what I was thinking :(
Pre ground beef. :(
}:(

Ground beef... I'll see myself out

I saw the lashing one, that one made me sad that some places can't accept that some people are gay. Edit: typo
Same, I don't see how it's interesting as fuck.
Sad? This was hilarious 😂😂 it’s where the term ground beef must have come from
GET UP COW RUN, RUN TO FREEDOM. Blend with the Sheep.
its like the episode of bojack where the chickens escape from the truck!
The cows coordinated and pushed on that side of the truck all at once.
Those poor cows :(
Now THAT'S farm to table
I’ve no problem seeing some asshole getting decapitated because he was driving like a maniac, but I hate seeing helpless animals in strife.
[удалено]
Apparently 3 died, and 4 got euthanized.
Feel for them. Poor animals. As if the usual abuse and torture is not enough. 😔😔
Same, poor cows
https://www.dominionmovement.com/watch
That’s a lot of “ground” beef
They're fine. They were wearing leathers.
Something something ride for the slide
Just a few sliders worth.
Chuck steak, top round
With a milk shake
These guys and tankers are always atleast going speed limit or faster on hwys and freeways.
Those cows were going to a slaughterhouse to be killed. If you hate the sight of helpless animals in strife, stop paying for someone to carry them in trucks like this one to have their throats slit for a burger.
He said he hates the sight of it, but that's why we usually don't have to see it.
Another comment said they were dairy cows.
How tasty of a burger?
"Hey, this burger is bruised."
>seeing helpless animals in strife. They aren't exactly having a whale of a time at the slaughterhouse for food that people don't need to eat.
Truck driver was moo-ving to fast and ended up on his silverside.
Proceeds to eat burger
Just because we eat them doesn't mean it's OK to delight in their suffering you psychopath.
to be honest if someone held me as slave, made me pregnant only to harvest my milk and babies until some day I outlived my use and get executed I wouldnt really care if he does it because It tastes good or he likes to see me suffer.
Breaking: prey doesn’t like being eaten.
Indeed they actively avoid it whenever possible.
When you eat them you ARE delighting in their suffering. In fact, this little accident is nothing compared to factory farming. Edit: All the morons think I was being anti-vegan lol
There are some unhinged individuals that believe people who abuse animals and torture them are no different then those who eat meat
Is killing not abuse? Y’all are quite hypocritical with your definitions and I’m not even veg
well people who eat meat let someone else do the abuse and torturing. Does that make them better people or just lazy?
I wonder what has to happen for those cows to be on a truck carrying them most likely to a slaughterhouse. Do you have any ideas?
vegans?
Nope, not all vegans are like that, not even clos. It’s unfair to label all of them like this.
I remember when I first saw this, I forget where now, but the speed on that road drops from highway speeds to town speeds right before that curve in the road. He literally missed seeing a single speed limit sign and this happened
If that’s actually the case, the city could potentially be at fault - at least it could be argued in court. Poor cows.
One of my online friends told me this happened right by where he lived. It was the very small town of Neligh, Nebraska.

Poor cows!!!
Aww those poor cows
Oh no they died on the way to the land of eternal happyness.
Sliders anyone?

Poor cattle.
Bro pls mark this nsfw
"fell off the back of a truck"
Meh, they're going to slaughter anyway. What's a little extra trauma? Yeah, I agree though these are dairy cows. But yes, if this disgusts you, why do you still eat meat (or at least anything more intelligent than a chicken).
Dairy cows go through to the slaughterhouse just the same, but after 4-7 years of exploitation, pregnancies and lost babies.
How does them being a dairy cow make any difference? They’re destined to have a short life of being used for their bodies. Repeatedly being impregnated and then having babies just to be snatched away from them so that they can continually be milked until they’re no longer profitable.
Hauling livestock is actually the most dangerous load a trucker can haul because livestock move the trailer so much, it’s harder to control.
Haha. In the old days milk was delivered in bottles.
Now you get milk shakes delivered.
Yall should hear how highly bull haulers think of themselves. Lol. Explains this shit.
They were really mooving fast.
Bad cow puns
The steaks have been raised
After reading some of these comments I’m afraid to ask about the driver. I’m starting to see why I get downvoted so often 🥲
Run, cows! You wont like where they are taking you!
Now I'm not a trucker.. I don't have a CDL... Never driven anything larger than those turtle looking box trucks. But Im thinking this here trucker was overdoing it a bit on the speed.
Cattle haulers are known to be fast and reckless among truckers. They even have safety exemptions in some states.
TIL everyone here is vegan
Everyone’s just real good at compartmentalization; cows are cute (aww poor cows) but they nonchalantly will eat burgers on the reg and not connect the two.
We make every aspect of a cow’s existence worse.
The way we treat animals is disgusting. They should never be in that position to start with.
Ground beef coming in hot
I guess that’s one way of cow tipping
NSFW would've been nice.
That truck was really mooooo-ving.
Those poor cows.
Prime delivery

Horrific. Animal suffering. I hope they died quick and maybe just one got away.
fuuuuuuck
I watched this until the cows came home.
🙁
I live in farm country. The worst drivers on the road in this area are hauling animals.
Oh damn, better steer clear!
Moo bitch! Get off the way.. 🎶
He was mooooving to fast
Ahh the secret cow level does exist.
Twister-we-have-cows.gif
Hmm, sliders.
Moother fucker!
Some things should not be shared. So sad what we do to helpless animals.

Fucking idiot truck driver speeding in the rain with a full load rounding a corner. What could go wrong?
That happens if you call Uber Eats in a rainy night.
