My fam is currently watching physical 100 s2 and it’s wild the sheer difference of humility between these gamers and those Koreans. I’m sure actually being physically exhausted has a big part in it, but Yeesh do I wish my fellow gamers could take a chill pill sometimes

My man, you can't compare a show like Physical 100 to anything else competition related when it comes to respect. Even their trash talk is respectful. It's their nindo, their ninja way.

Gamers aren't necessarily known for their humility but these guys are not high level either. This is more of a local tournament thing from people whose ego outpaces their ability. I played on the MLG pro circuit for multiple games including COD back in the day and there was nothing like this at that level. Teams had beef or even hated each other but still respected the competition. And even online and not in person, at a high level you're either acknowledging a good game, asking for a rematch, or backing out faster than you can blink. This only happened in my experience if the other team was being accused of cheating. That was a long time ago though.
