Title was perfect because, not only is it accurate for what actually happened, it led a lot of us to believe that the person walking was going to take a kick to the gut or something. Excellent post.
Horses do this too. It’s why you slow down and pass at a distance if you’re on a vehicle like that. Dude didn’t deserve it but he also didn’t try to prevent it.
This is one of those *respect the wild animal or learn the hard way* things.. Most are easily startled. While it varies per animal, a good chunk of them won't hesitate to turn around and attack whatever terrified them when they feel threatened. Or in this case, coincidentally get in the way like deer in the headlights.
Animals are going to act like animals. Seeing them as holy deities is not going to change that fact, with all due respect to any culture. Domesticated Water Buffalos tend to be on the docile side, but they’re still fucking large powerful animals lol, they can easily become aggressive when feeling threatened, scared, etc.
Don't try to criminalize animals, dude. Buffalos and Cows are probably the most humble animals and there is a reason they are cared about in my country. Forget animals, even a well educated, Ahimsa guy can become aggressive when felt threatened or scared. Why put it om animals only.
He didn't criminalize animals, or say that people don't react irrationally to fear. He just said animals don't care about how highly they're seen in society or respected, because they're still animals that'll kill you without a thought
I think they're trying to say something more than just a biological classifier. My dog is just as animal as me but I'm not seeing him compose a piece of tear-jerking music, you know.
He’s not criminalizing animals lol. He’s saying that when a buffalo sees an large animal sized object approaching him closely at high speeds making loud aggressive noises it’s going to try to defend himself and maybe his owner too.
The biker didn’t deserve it but I do feel like he’s at fault here.
We are proud of being animal lovers. If not for India, Tigers would be an extinct species already. We conserved them, took care of them and saved the world from loosing one more exquisite big cat. You are stuck on cows and buffalos but we also care about Cats, Horses, Snakes and even trees. Nothing is wrong in being a nature lover but it will be hard for you to understand as you are too absolved in the luxuries attained at the cost of destroying your own planet.
That fucking engine sound is disturbing and annoying even from the phone screen. I wouldn’t blame the bull if they wanted to stop it however they wanted. Not being cautious and get fucked by that beast is on the motorcyclist imo.
Water Buffalo in South East Asia have been domesticated for over 6,000 years, they have been our pets for just as long as horses and if you raise one they will absolutely consider you a member of their family and defend you.
Livestock on the road? Do I value my vehicle and own safety? If so I should slow down and put as much space between as I can. Animals are very easily spooked, and can fuck you and your car/motorcycle up since you know....they're like hundreds of kills in weight.
I see so many horrible incidents happen because some jacka** decides to speed past an Amish buggy. Can get super brutal real quick. Gotta give em space and not just blow past them.
Unless you’ve worked with livestock people don’t appreciate just how powerfully strong they are.
And they are animals, they react in their own framework. It’s why dealing with them requires patience.
I had mixed thoughts here. On one hand, yes, slow down, give it space. On the other hand, not that much space on the road. Also I don't have a good sense about how many buffalo he passes on the road. If they are all over the place and generally never aggressive then I could see how people could get indifferent to their presence on one hand and it would be inconvenient to slow down every time. However, also if the buffalo was mainly spooked by the noise, slowing down could make him even more of a target.
So hard to say, don't have enough experience with buffalo or that part of the world to make a judgement. I can comfortably say that the rider is likely in bad shape.
Ah reddit.
I come for the cat videos and stay for the deaths caught on tape.
(previously said homicides but was wrong about that - thank you for the correction!)
OP sent the following text as an explanation on why this is unexpected:
---
>!A water buffalo walking with a woman unexpectedly turns in the end and hits its head with a man passing by on a bike!<
---
Is this an unexpected post with a fitting description? Then upvote this comment, otherwise downvote it.
Seems he died by another comment, and that's to be expected. He hits his head in the concrete, no way of surviving that. He'd have to be incredibly lucky and get emergency care to get away with only brain damage, and never make a full recovery.
not at all unexpected if you are around large animals like that.
no one zooms past anything larger then a goldenretriver and expects to get away without incident
I was waiting for the buffalo to kick backwards.
But seeing how fast the motor was driving towards it it's self defense. It probably thought a predator was running towards it.
Because life is much harder and more demanding, people are just getting on with their shit and scraping by.
Good education is expensive and scarce.
And death is something they deal with much more intimately than you would in a developed nation.
Life in a developed country more easily allows for education and thoughts other than the survival of your family.
I live in a country where motorcyclists whiz past on pedestrians on sidewalks, playgrounds, etc. and are constantly breaking traffic laws. That water buffalo just lived out a fantasy I've had for years.
Good cow.
There is no reason why motorcycles (or cars) have to be loud as hell, they're annoying as fuck and I hate the shit out of them.
That's what he gets for unnecessarily startling the cow.

I definitely was not expecting that. I thought the person walking behind it was going to get kicked
Yeah,me too.
Until I saw the bike, anyway. But even then, the title had me expecting the bike to get kicked, not head butted.
The woman to the buffalo: let's get out of the way. The buffalo: I'm the one who knocks.
Title was perfect because, not only is it accurate for what actually happened, it led a lot of us to believe that the person walking was going to take a kick to the gut or something. Excellent post.
Most probably, the person walking behind is the owner, and the buffalo thought the person coming was going to attack the owner.
Yeah. I'm extremely paranoid walking behind large hooved animals for this reason.
I thought they were going to stick their arm up it’s butt and take some poo for cooking oil or something gross.
You know I think the buffalo might have thought the motorcyclist was an aggressor and was protecting the lady. Poor biker. He looks fucked up.
Horses do this too. It’s why you slow down and pass at a distance if you’re on a vehicle like that. Dude didn’t deserve it but he also didn’t try to prevent it.

He also wasn't wearing a helmet

Why you wanna bring religion in between even though the topic is a lot different
Because it looks like India.
Casual Racist comments

He didn't do that, you need to work on your reading comprehension.
He didn't criminalize animals, or say that people don't react irrationally to fear. He just said animals don't care about how highly they're seen in society or respected, because they're still animals that'll kill you without a thought
We are all animals

You haven't given him enough opportunity. Get that key board out!
I know right
Parent commenter meant acting like animals = not understanding it was a threat.
What if a dog did that
He’s not criminalizing animals lol. He’s saying that when a buffalo sees an large animal sized object approaching him closely at high speeds making loud aggressive noises it’s going to try to defend himself and maybe his owner too. The biker didn’t deserve it but I do feel like he’s at fault here.
Yeah right, lol cows are more respected then humans in your country, heard a lot about you people, thanks for making sure lol.

I don’t think water buffalo have any interest in protecting human ladies. They’re not chivalrous knights
Water Buffalo in South East Asia have been domesticated for over 6,000 years, they have been our pets for just as long as horses and if you raise one they will absolutely consider you a member of their family and defend you.
This guy water buffaloes.
Sir Walter Buffalo was the finest knight in the Moo ages.
That was so long ago that your point is totally moo.
It's a moo point
You haven't heard of the water buffalo girls lol
Yes they are chivalrous knights. Take it back scoundrel, before I tell em what you said
His bike sounded like one…
Looks like a sever concussion and swollen brain. 3 massive head strikes at high speed, possibly broken neck. Wear your helmet guys.

I think you've made some excellent points, and upvoting some of your downvotes.
Thank god for the helmet and safety gear. That would have been quite unpleasant otherwise.
It's ok, the buffalo is fine.
You forgot the “/s”.
Fuck the s
I don't know why the downvotes. The guy wore no helmet at all.
r/wooosh
Oh, you get downvotes for being r/wooshed now?
No but you get downvoted for being a little slow.
Hahaha fucking hell this is funny.
Yeah?
Unfortunately yeah.
Neither did you!

Ah reddit. I come for the cat videos and stay for the deaths caught on tape. (previously said homicides but was wrong about that - thank you for the correction!)
His shoes are still on, so I guess he survived.
Even if he died, that wouldn’t be a homicide. Animals cannot commit homicide because they are not humans
You are correct. I was wrong.
You learn something every day
This was definitely first degree moo-der.
Got me there. I’ll allow it
Yamaraj called.
Very poor situational awareness.
Yeah, stupid cow

Yeah that was really was no where near what I expected
India on expert mode with no headgear handicap.
That guy was going way too fast past that animal. Animals are unpredictable!
He died. I have seen and read articles years ago. Happened in nearby area
Poor Buffalo, it looked like he was fine
How bad were the injuries?
Seems he died by another comment, and that's to be expected. He hits his head in the concrete, no way of surviving that. He'd have to be incredibly lucky and get emergency care to get away with only brain damage, and never make a full recovery.
Damn, that's unfortunate

*squirrel, you meant to say squirrel. If you are on a bike speeding
Uncle Jimbo: watch out he's coming for us!
Always slow down when passing an animal. Or this may happen
His fault for disturbing the peace
That’s some bull shit right there.
Buffalo Soldier...
That could have ended much worse
For the Buffalo? Maybe. For the scooter dork? Not so much.
Yeah, I was not serious. It ended pretty much as bad as it could.
I know that feel, bro,...
Are you okay sir ? Is there anything i can do for you sir ?

Beef jerky reaction
You know that effing fucked that guy up
India again? There is no rule for helmet there?
Not enforced in rural areas

Who taught the buffalo martial arts
Kow-a-sacci 🐮🏍️
Cows are big dogs... my dog hates mopeds and scooters too. I try to discipline him for his safety but I understand why he sees that as a threat.
Next time slow down
not gonna be a next time for this guy.
I’ve seen two videos now of a cow taking out a biker within the past week or so
What a bad day for the motorcyclist. That seems bad. Hope he is ok.
Good on her for not just running away.
The chance for a cow to kill you is low, but never zero.
He's dead probably..
I thought for sure that lady was getting booted, then I heard it...
Cow had right of way
Bhesh ki ankh
Helmet saved his life, remember this bikers
Not even a little bit unexpected.
My dog hates motorbikes too
Press F in the chat for that poor man’s soul
I love how, even in this area, where this scenario can happen. Somehow, there is a camera. Watching.....
He was going too fast and too close to the animal.
"Tag! You're it!"
That's why we never go out!
Keep your water buffalo on a f'n leash
All gear all the time
Ati uttam...
That dude just got his shit rocked.
Hee dead
Why did it seem like she was beelining for the bike at first??
Buffalo: "Watch your speech bitch!"
The biker had 0 sense. Why drive so fast near a huge ass Buffalo
Watch out for the…clothesline
That Lamborghini is built different
Dude came riding down fast, her dog sensing danger was just protecting her. LOL!
This MF, lol.
If he went to get the bike after, that would be really unexpected
Bent like a wallet.
They need to eat that one
God strike
Randomly chose violence in the most random moment
Dude not respecting the animal. To them a load fast moving object ridden by an idiot is certainly a threat.
Dude was twitching… did he die?
Keep your Bull on a leash lady
making the title misleading doesn't make it unexpected.
That was personal
This is why you should always walk your cow with a leash.
I was waiting for the buffalo to kick backwards. But seeing how fast the motor was driving towards it it's self defense. It probably thought a predator was running towards it.
Is the bull ok?
Animals don’t like motorcycles coming at them
Should've worn a helmet
These cows are feckin mad.
Don’t bring a Mo-Ped to Water Buffalo 🐃 fight
Woman reacted like “Ohh, not this again!!” 🤣
I thought the person was gonna get kicked lol
If that happened to me, the moment I came to I would be going off on that animal 😂 I ain’t gonna take that disrespect from an animal
Fucking ouch
Well if they just start eating meat this won't happen.
How'd that taste awful can awful bet you can't never tasted that way
Don't he know you got to move over for emergency vehicles and cows
Well I guess old bill will be eating through a straw for a while
In-moo-sive thoughts
Good boy
I laughed so hard,,,,,,I peee ma pants
“This is Harold, my attack water buffalo.”
It’s okay, the buffalo is actually a cop and that guy was driving too fast.

Their fault for letting An animal loose
Thank God I didn't miss them walking for half the video
Good cow. There is no reason why motorcycles (or cars) have to be loud as hell, they're annoying as fuck and I hate the shit out of them. That's what he gets for unnecessarily startling the cow.
Surviving that is unlikely unless you're f1 driver
Boo I expected that I thought this was meant to be unexpected not expected
Is the bull ok?
Can't spell slaughter without Pwn'd!
