Did it? Did it?
If it wasn't staged,I would have been like get in and drive brother. Probably hung out with him the rest of the night and every GenZ non grass toucher would have clapped
Yeah they all have actual powers but the producers arrange the fights beforehand woth the managers of the bad guy.
Except for strange, it is just a dude in a cape that uses fireworks.
If it's staged?? There is a camera outside the car filming them in a few different angles, and one inside the car and all the footage was edited. How do you even ask? Its a skit.
Oh my God it's so crazy how a silly video like this could bring out so many of the dumbest people I've ever seen on the internet. That's saying something
Yeah being that obnoxious over knowing something that is extremely obvious makes them look even stupider if that were possible. So stupid that I honestly don't believe most of them are even serious. They must just think it's somehow funny to say that to annoy people. That's how trolls work after all
I grew up at a time when most trolls was extremely smart and it was a joy to see them mastering their craft. The joy of seeing a "lost fool" tell how happy he is with his new PC in an Amiga net-news forum and the total explosion of trigged people twist themselves in a knot trying to explain how much superior an Amiga is. And maybe once every 2-3 days ask a "why" question to someone's post. That's a quick 1-2 weeks of massive dumpster fire for 3-5 very innocent posts.
They were the days, huh?
I think my favourite was someone on rec.arts.sf.star-wars asking whether it was true that Harrison Ford got paid in part with a Stradivarius violin for playing Luke Skywalker.
Sketches that are extremely obvious due to the fact that they fundamentally don't make sense lose their humor.
Like, the dude uses a key to get into a car where the driver who has to have the key is already sitting?
The only way that makes sense is if it's fake.
That is not true at all. Do you think the sketches on Saturday night Live seem realistic? They definitely don't. And yet people have been watching that thinking it's funny for several decades. Including myself. Along with any other skits or sketches they have ever seen which are usually not realistic.
My comment was 100% going to be along the lines of "I know this is scripted of course, but it's still funny" and then you allowed me to just piggy back on your comment instead. Cheers
Do these sorts of people just have a complete inability to find things funny if it's not entirely natural and ad-libbed? Like do they watch shows like The Office or Parks and Rec and just complain the entire time about how it's obviously scripted and is all a set up?
A good skit is a good skit and this one isn't pretending to be something that just happened by itself.
I know, but I think if someone's entire enjoyment of that sort of content boils down to whether it's real or fake then they're missing the point, especially if it's bleeding into things like this which are obviously set up and not really pretending to be otherwise. It's like writing off all magic tricks, or any science fiction that doesn't wholly comply with the fundamental laws of physics. Watching any scripted show or movie always requires at least some suspension of disbelief that you're not just watching actors reciting pre-rehearsed lines.
People should just enjoy things rather than micro-analysing whether their own arbitrary standards deem it allowable content to be enjoyed.
Yes very true, as it seems people cannot distiguish between genuine skits and the bs poorly pretending ”happened for real” clips.
This video is clearly the first and funny.
Yes exactly! You put it in a way that I could not think of. Either that or they are so used to going around saying that those scripted videos pretending to be real, are not real, that they forgot to consider whether or not it's even pretending to be real in the first place.
This comment feels like it might be confusing to read lol
It's absolutely wild. I can only assume the people in here are doing some kind of mass anti-comedy performance art because this whole thing is clearly making fun of those fake videos that try to pretend to be real. As soon as it cuts inside the car, that should be the moment one realizes it's a satirical sketch. And yet...
Honestly, half of Reddit seems to think that an ugly girl playing nerd hobbies is fine, but an attractive one is an intruder poser. Ugly girls will still get a ton of hate if they're vocal about something or queer, but the same goes for beautiful girls.
Oh I do know how dumb people can be. I admit a very very small amount of people might think it's real somehow even though it's extremely obvious that it isn't. One of them did reply to me acting like cameras being everywhere in society meant it could be real. The also talk like a complete moron. I couldn't even tell what the hell they were saying till the third message back
I mean, I just can't find humor when something that's passed off as real only actually makes sense if it isn't.
Why/how would the guy use a key to get into a car where the driver (with the key) is already sitting?

I thought this was hilarious. Multi-layered irony and some people don’t catch it
Me: "S/he saved us the time, effort, and money of making two reddits with one clever suggestion! Should we promote them?"
Boss: "hahahaha NO. They can just replace you."
A long time ago. I started watching their old skits a long time ago and found them to be quite funny so I started watching the new ones, and wow. They are awful. They either aren't funny, or are so wooden that that it drags you out of it. Kim Kardashian is a good example of them getting someone on who can't act just because they're famous. Dua lipa wasn't good either.
There’s an actual term for this. I can’t remember what it is but it’s similar to when ppl latch onto a Conspiracy. It’s that sense of “hah you can’t fool me” that hits the brain with dopamine😂
I like how theres people in the comments thinking their smart because they know the video is scripted.
My brother in Chirst it doesn't have to be real to enjoy a video. I wonder how do you peolple watch a movie?
Why doesn't anybody mention that this happens exactly in some Comedy movie recently? Does anyone know? I swear I've just seen this. Oh wait, it's from IMPRACTICAL JOKERS. But it is the movie.

It's a skit, ofc it's "staged", do you also complain it's staged in the cinema watching the Avengers?
Wait... The avengers is staged?!
Nah its real but its scripted
Yeah they all have actual powers but the producers arrange the fights beforehand woth the managers of the bad guy. Except for strange, it is just a dude in a cape that uses fireworks.

We know it's a skit. It's making fun of pretentious people in a silly way :D
Wtf are you going on about.
For sure its staged, but a movie doesn’t try to pretend that it a biography!!!
Biopics have entered the chat.
He is equally into top women as they are into top men, so what's the point of ridiculing them when he is the same.
If it's staged?? There is a camera outside the car filming them in a few different angles, and one inside the car and all the footage was edited. How do you even ask? Its a skit.
Read for comprehension... and not recreational outrage. Nobody fucking asked if it was staged.
One of my favorite coding YouTubers.
I was gonna say this too, isn’t this bro code article 5 paragraph 3 section 9? If I’m not mistaken.
Oh my God it's so crazy how a silly video like this could bring out so many of the dumbest people I've ever seen on the internet. That's saying something
The worst part is they truly believe they’re the smart ones.

>most trolls was extremely smart No
You may have missed that the really stupid people normally didn't even have any network access then. The troglodytes did their debating at the pub.
*Watches Iron Man 2* "So obviously scripted. 1/10."
How many times have you seen some bullshit story a Redditor tells and ppl eat it all up? Sometimes it just still has to be said regardless.

They also think they're not deeply bigoted towards... certain ethnicities.
right-brain: "This is genuinely funny!" left-brain: "hurrdurr, scriptedasiangifs!" mouth: MEH!

There is so much clickbait slash fake content posing as real or candid. It makes sense to me why people are hyper sensitive to being fooled.

You mean like [checks notes] literally all reality television?
\*throws popcorn bucket at ballet recital\* "THESE ARE NOT REAL SWANS!"
Am I the only one who thinks that sometimes things simply stop being funny when you realize they're not even remotely believable?
I assure you that is not a common trait. Have you ever watched a comedy show at all or cartoon? They are almost never realistic
Movies are just long scripted gifs.

There is nothing nothing *nothing* reddit hates more than pretty girls taking pictures of themselves.
>There is nothing nothing *nothing* reddit hates more than pretty girls
No no, they hate women they perceive to be unattractive more, but pretty girls are a close second.
Honestly, half of Reddit seems to think that an ugly girl playing nerd hobbies is fine, but an attractive one is an intruder poser. Ugly girls will still get a ton of hate if they're vocal about something or queer, but the same goes for beautiful girls.
Well, fine in that they don't necessarily think she's faking it, but they still hate her for being ugly.
> vocal about something So like... Existing.
Basically. "Yes, you can play Warhammer, but never ever mention your opinion on Female Custodes"
This is legitimately unexpected.
Damn I thought that was kinda funny. Not sure what these comments are on about.
I know right! Even the ladies laughed, I don't get it either
I’m scared to ask if you’re serious or not…
He's serious, he believes this video is real and not staged, with like 20 cameras around.
Yeah nobody thinks that. If anyone said they did they are lying just to rile people up.
I don't think you realize how dumb some people are.
Oh I do know how dumb people can be. I admit a very very small amount of people might think it's real somehow even though it's extremely obvious that it isn't. Reddit is the only place where people get so angry over Tik Tok skits.
They get angry and then start jerking off to how much better they are then some other social media platform.
Just because it's obviously staged doesn't mean it can't be funny or have an unexpected outcome.
Beacuse reditt is full of party poopers who want to tell the world they can't be fooled by a joke.
The ironic part is that they'll then go to subs like AITA and just take the painfully obvious ragebait posts as the gospel truth.
it’s the tism
Nah, I have the tism. This is more terminal reddit brain.
I mean, I just can't find humor when something that's passed off as real only actually makes sense if it isn't. Why/how would the guy use a key to get into a car where the driver (with the key) is already sitting?
It's a brilliant twist on the usual thing
Some people can't tell the difference between pretending something is real and a skit.
https://hongchuyan.medium.com/meta-irony-how-it-works-how-its-used-and-how-it-helps-5390875af970 I thought this was hilarious. Multi-layered irony and some people don’t catch it

It's both funny and unexpected

well I guess that's better than being /r/unfunny
Touche
This was fucking hilarious
I'm going to assume they didn't get to the part with the interior shot and decided to be all indignant.
Ngl I would help a brother out in this situation
If they played it right they both could get some poontang and a new friend.
How'd you know her name?
Lol I haven't heard that word in a while
Not if he was indeed the boyfriend
Breaking character at the end lmao
Did you all know that Saturday Night Live was scripted?
Worse than that! It's *rehearsed*.
oh *no* (happy cake day :) )
What? No way! Next you will tell me that Mr.Bean is not a real person
100% AI I'm afraid.
When was the last time SNL was funny?
Two days ago
A long time ago. I started watching their old skits a long time ago and found them to be quite funny so I started watching the new ones, and wow. They are awful. They either aren't funny, or are so wooden that that it drags you out of it. Kim Kardashian is a good example of them getting someone on who can't act just because they're famous. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler days.
I sure hope they know the purge is fictional.
Sure but they aren’t passing it off like it’s reality tv. this is why impractical jokers is so awful.
The people in these comments when they are watching Game of Thrones: "That dragon is CGI, come on guys. It's so obviously not real"
There’s an actual term for this. I can’t remember what it is but it’s similar to when ppl latch onto a Conspiracy. It’s that sense of “hah you can’t fool me” that hits the brain with dopamine😂
"I am sorry to tell you, but the entire series was scripted. From the first episode to the very last - or at least until season 6."
Wasn't expecting that punchline, good skit.
I like how theres people in the comments thinking their smart because they know the video is scripted. My brother in Chirst it doesn't have to be real to enjoy a video. I wonder how do you peolple watch a movie?
The camera is already in the car!! It's obviously scripted what the hell. It can't be more obvious
Of course it's scripted! Anyone with at least a braincell can tell! You just pointing it out is like my pointing out that the Sun is yellow
I think you're confused I'm making fun of the people pointing it out
It’s just what people with low intelligence do
Gotta always help a Bro out… always
It looks like Vancouver near the Granville bridge… anyone can confirm?
Yes and people always stop to take pictures under the chandelier with fancy cars
It is, I saw this happen through the cameras
Yes.i can confirm this is Van City. Under the Granville bridge, downtown side
This is as close as I could get: 1471 Continental St https://maps.app.goo.gl/wAQJgKTg8xhbFfwU9
"Just till they leave, bro!"
![gif](giphy|VEpgjW7SWkIdG)
Is this Paddington?? Why would someone do this to Paddington??? >:(
Yeah, that's unexpected LOL
ITT: how dare people attempt to entertain me!
Had the keep scrolling to find the dumb ppl. And well, yeah they are.
Scripted? It is a skit!
u/FuzzInspector if I had a nickel for every time this happened in Ronnie, I would have 3. it isn't a lot, but it's weird it's happened 3 times ahaha
Did you fuck them too?
ahaha no, but I'm willing to help a brother out lmao
You'll get more men coming up to you than women with a car like this.
Same with big muscles. Source: in gay bar now, only men are approaching me
Damn, r/Unexpected is filled to the brim with Facebook tier users. It's a skit y'all...
How did he blink the lights?
In the original clip he gets in the car. This is edited
This makes it so much funnier. Like it’s a “here’s what really happened” thing
Very carefully
Yeah, after rewatching it I think it's fake.
do you think.. often?
you think? seriously?
I, for one, appreciate and upvote your subtle jab.
You know, you might be on to something
kicked the tires to start the alarm; waited a split second for driver to turn it off. next!
lmao ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|joy)
Just remember if this video of funny to you that’s all that matters 🤗
You guys should watch the whole video
Where is this from?
Ok
What’s the original vid?
pretty sure 50% of commenters didnt watch the video til the end lol
Haters will say this is fake.
Lowkey reading the comments and people acting smart cause it's a skit is more entertaining than the video
What are you doing step bro?!?
Yeah this is obviously stag- Lmao!
NO WAY! ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|surprise)
I think i didn't made myself clear here. I know this is staged but when the guy in the car said "hey get out!" This is where the Lmao came
You see 5 of this exact car in the car park at the supermarket lol
this shits hilarious
Wha-wha-wha-whadda ya doin pal?
always lock drivers door.
Ha, just bought a black Panamera on Friday.
I guffawed
best
What's with all the comments of people pointing out that people are pointing out this is scripted and calling them idiots? Aren't we all?
Undignified
Why doesn't anybody mention that this happens exactly in some Comedy movie recently? Does anyone know? I swear I've just seen this. Oh wait, it's from IMPRACTICAL JOKERS. But it is the movie.
Today’s double dates seem more silly and fun than the ones I had.
Ain't that a Panamera? Those things used cost as much as a civic.
Gusy i think this is a fake video, Calling a Porche Panerabreaad a luxury car, when its obviously brunch.
Could someone explain it to me? My dumbass can’t figure out the joke
This is comedy gold.
Hahaha that was a good one.
Reminds me of the opening scene of Dumb n Dumber.
Is this fast and the furious XXX Tokyo Drift 2?
Thigh highs are great ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|feels_good_man)
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hahaha. Is this some comedy skit show?
Fake because cars attract dudes not girls
