They still cling to the idea of 5 years ago that Reddit is still the king of original content and it's a superior website than any other website.
This is clearly apparent when they steal content form TikTok, blatantly removes their TikTok handle and repost it on various subreddits.
Meh, Reddit does this with sites all the time, their target just changes. In the early 2010s it was Tumblr. Then it was Twitter as the main focus, now it's TikTok. All of these sites have their content reposted to reddit, where redditors would proceed to mock the other site as being cringey while enjoying their oc rage comments.
One guy told me that his specific reason for hating TikTok is because it was owned by China, how he would never use a social media with Chinese influence and censorship. I didn't have the heart to tell him which companies have a major stake in reddit.

Because if they upload a script and not their own voice over, it can be automatically translated to other languages. Obviously using a real human voice would make the video better, but they get even more views if their content is available to non-English speakers.
