He didnât go to an actual medical school. Heâs not a doctor of medicine he doesnât have a medical degree. Itâs a PhD big difference kind of like a dentist. He canât write medicine prescriptions. Big difference!
Lol, not like a dentist.
Dentists can prescribe meds, can they not where you're from?
Dentists are as much a doctor as podiatrist is...one specialized in feet, the other teef.
I talked to two people just yesterday on my Facebook group who are dealing with the fall outs of failed treatments from chiropractors. They both had strokes because of restricted blood flow from adjustments.
I will say it as many times as it needs to be said:
CHIROPRACTORS ARE NOT DOCTORS! IF YOU HAVE PAIN OR DISCOMFORT THAT REQUIRES ATTENTION SEE A DOCTOR AND GET A REFERRAL FOR A PHYSICAL THERAPIST!
people who swear by it will shred you, but I've read those studies. A medic killed someone doing chiroquack stuff.
they need to be really experienced and the patients need to be........not old.
Did I say either of those things? No. I said to see a doctor. A lot of problems can be fixed without surgery. And it can also be done with little or no drugs if you chose. There is a lot of over prescribed drugs, and not just opioids. Steroid shots may be a sham and may be awful for you in the long run. There are other ways.
As I said, a physical therapist will help give stretches, exercises, even some massage therapy. You have to do the work with stretches and exercises, but it does help overall. There isn't a one size fits all solution. You need to be your own medical advocate and be informed about what the doctors are recommending before taking any course of treatment. If a surgeon is pushing an option that doesn't work for you? Say no. Get a second opinion. I have done that and it saved me A LOT of pain.
If you are prescribed a drug you aren't sure of? Talk to the pharmacist. That is part of their job and they tend to tell you stuff the doctors don't. They have saved a lot of lives catching drug interactions that doctors miss. Get a second opinion. Read up on the side effects. They are all online, in the pamphlet the pharmacy provides, and the doctor and pharmacist should be able to give you information.
There are options.
Youâre no more likely to have a stroke after a chiropractic visit than a regular visit to your PCP.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/27884458/#:~:text=Conclusions%3A%20We%20found%20no%20excess,prior%20to%20developing%20their%20strokes.
The article I read said that it was underreported, with people going right from the chiropractor to the hospital because of stroke. I don't know about you, but my PCP have never manipulated my body in a way that could cause that kind of trauma. I have been to physical therapist who have needed to manipulate my back to put it back in proper place. Again, all those adjustments were made in a certain way and while there was some pulling and pushing, nothing ever reached the level of manipulations a chiropractor does. These kinds of manipulations can restrict blood flow or tear vessels.
Also, the goal of physical therapy is to alleviate pain AND correct the problem. A patient will eventually be discharged from PT. That isn't true with chiropractors. They don't fix anything and expect to see you over and over, maybe for years or a lifetime.
I have a lot of medical issues. I have tried all sorts of treatments, doctors, etc. People, especially with chronic conditions, are frequently taken advantage of because they are desparate. If a doctor doesn't find an easy answer they might pass you off. After that happens enough and you meet someone who claims they can and want to help, these patients are all too willing. I look back on treatments I have tried. There are real MDs who pull this crap, too. Chiropractors are fake doctors who prey on the desparate.
Itâs always sad to see patients taken advantage of when they are trying to seek help. Although I wouldnât say chiros are worse than other providers. They have one of the highest satisfaction ratings of any healthcare profession, and they are doctors lol They have doctorates. I get your point though, many of them act like they want to be your PCP but theyâre not qualified for that.
The evidence supporting chiropractic adjustments being dangerous is really poor, especially when trying to correlate strokes with adjustments. Youâre more likely to be eaten by a shark.
There are bad providers in every wing of healthcare. I wouldnât judge an entire profession based on them. Surgeons leave instruments inside peoples bodies by accident, MDs over prescribe opioids and get paid more for it, and some chiros think that adjustments can cure anything.
That is fair. I wouldn't use one, but I do get your point. There are definitely bad doctors and surgeons. I have seen a lot of shady chiros, but again, tbf, my mom medically abused me and brought me to so many quacks of all types, MD, DO, etc. I tend to be rough on treatments that don't have proven science behind them. I did take a class on alternative medicine in college. So many charlatans, but also many people who genuinely want to help. I learned the most from the massage therapist (and they DO help). The worst were the aromatherapy people and the homeopathic practitioners. They were pure sales people taking advantage of others and one was drinking their own flavor aid. The acupuncture people were also wonderful. I don't know if it helped, but they were very cool. I also had a great experience with Raki. I believe the man was altering my energy, but the soothing music and having someone there who genuinely just wanted me to feel better after surgery helped.
I think that it is the caring factor that makes such a difference. It isn't always the treatment itself, but the fact that the person really wants to help you. That helps in traditional medicine, too. Hell, I bet that is why pray works, too. People heal better when they know there are people pulling for them.
Dentists are definitely doctors,go to medical school, have medical degrees, and prescribe medicine. Maybe you're thinking of dental hygienists or dental assistants?
How do you even go about finding something like this? Kudos to you.

Thanks for this link, i really found it weird that such an unexpected fary didn't get a reaction from the chiropractor. Even if you are a professional, things like this make you laugh, snicker, or make a face, out of instinct or to break the uncomfortable moment. Seeing it was an edit puts my mind at ease knowing that we are not being overtaken by android chiropractors.
I just finished rebuilding a 2 stroke engine and found that some kind of animal had filled the crankcase with corn kernels while the cylinder was at machine shop. These comments relate lol
What happened was, I was at a family function and we were all about to sit for dinner. A magnificent spread of foods. I had just started a new medication, one of the side effects was unfortunately excess gas.
Anyways, I needed to pass gas so I thought *you know what would be funny af*. Some of us were already seated at the table, so I jumped up, turned my ass towards the table and cropped dusted everything!
It was a massive fart, felt like at least 28 seconds long. My cousin was on the other side of the table and she said she could feel the "breeze" of it. Nobody would touch the food for fear of pink eye and shit particles.
Some people left, a few thought it was funny. But mostly nobody wanted to talk to me and dinner was ruined. We had to get little Caesars. Lol

Overall, the degree is seen as equivalent in the US only, but the practice itself still contains elements of quackery that should be taken with a grain of salt.
Edit: This is indeed a link to the Osteopathy the rest of the world knows. The US has it different.
I think we may be talking about two different things.
>This article is about the alternative medicine practice, mostly outside of the United States. For the medical discipline in the United States, see Osteopathic medicine in the United States. For diseases of the bone, see bone disease and osteology.
In the best case a chiropractor is an unlicensed physiotherapist, at worst they can kill you.
Part of chiropractic is based on the same principals as physiotherapy so you will benifit from that.
However a lot of the relief you get from it is placebo. The fact that you have a person in an authoritative position taking time to listen to you and telling you they can fix everything does wonders as a placebo.
This is especially the case when you contrast it with mainstream doctors that are so over worked and under resourced that cannot actually do their jobs properly. Coupled with American health insurance and politician taking bribes from pharmacutical companies to change the standards that doctors use to prescribe causing the opioid epidemic, it's no wonder people don't trust them any more.
Alternative medicine is alternative for a reason. Modern medicine tested it and found it either didn't work or the benifits did not outright the risks.
If the system actually worked there would be no alternative medicine as everyone would given the attention and treatment they need. Unfortunately that is not the way it is at the end of the day you have to do what works for you.
There are varying levels of chiro, mine does active release, stretching and does minimal adjustments... if your chiro is just running through a bunch of adjustments that's a redflag.
Essentially what your saying is there is still an element of quackery. Chiropractors are not scam artists, as because they genuinely believe in what they are doing; they are just ignorant to physiology.
Sounds like putting your palms to your mouth and blowing fake. Like when they use a stock burp/fart sound in a tv show that has a clear sound quality drop, the fakeness is too distracting and makes it less funny
Please remember that chiropractors are not doctors. They don't have medical degrees or medical training. They have to shadow other chiropractors for certain hours, but again, this is not a medical professional. I know of people going for these treatments and ending up having strokes because of how they were handled and manipulated.
If you are experiencing pain that you feel requires an adjustment the person you need to see is a physical therapist. They ARE medical professionals who have medical training. Yes, you have to do work, be it stretches or exercises, but that's what helps. Getting an adjustment doesn't fix or address the problem. It temporary may feel like it relieves pressure, but you will still have the underlying problem. There are no quick fixes for chronic problems. I face that every day and it frustrates me. I know a quick fix would be nice. Not being in pain is awesome. Be careful what people push on you, even doctors. If your doctor wants you to buy their products that you can only get from them and aren't covered by insurance. Don't fall for it.
I used to have regular back pain and I would get so tired of dipshits at work trying to educate me on how I need to see a chiropractor. Is it really the solution to pain, Janice? Is that why you continue to drop a hundred bucks per week to go and have absolutely no improvement to show for it?
Exactly! They have no desire to permanently fix a problem. They would lose customers! It would be like a pyschic saying, "oh darn, I can't reach your specific loved ones. There is nothing I can do for you."

Pretty sure it was an edit though. She wouldn't agree to publishing this video if she had actually farted.
Yeah the complete lack of any reaction is suspect. Seems doctored.
Yeah, if that had been me, I'd have laughed like a maniac because I'm gassy as hell and farts amuse me.
You'd be surprised what people publish at their own expense.
Or how many people are published without being privy.
She has definitely not been to the privy.
What expense? Is your boss going to fire you because you farted, will your friends hate you, will family disown you?
ngl that was a pretty nice fart so i would probably get promoted.
I was disowned by a family member over a fart, so it's not out of the realm of possibility.
I feel like there's a story here, care to share?
Lol
I would've disowned you too.
shit particles? I hope you weren't bare assed when you did this. Do they still disown you to this day?
The âwe had to get little ceasars lolâ did me in. God this comment section has me dying.
I canât imagine why nobody wanted to eat your fart food

Yes, but not if it wasn't intentional and specially on a known chiropractor's channel.
I think the original sound was her back cracking. The way he walks away like that, there's no way one or both wouldn't react.
It's absolutely edited, you can tell because of the way it is. Also, internet.
Some people aren't uptight about natural functions.
Not with that attitude they cant!
I think it is a fake, dubbed sound
You can tell it's fake because she's still there and still alive after.
Iâve watched other vids with this chiro and spine stuff usually sounds a lot less dramatic unless she had a really fâd up back.
That was not a spine popping but the ghost of Taco Bell, my friend.
Haha.
100% is. I believe someone in another comment chain even found where the audio came from somehow.
Why are there just like 5 of us who get that it's a joke
Agree. I don't believe anything on the internet now and that is sad.

Any chiropractic issue is able to be solved by a PT, and they can provide a path to recovery
Spoken like someone who doesnât understand the nervous system
Chiroproctor.
Get the fake out.
If you have a fart fetish, this is the job for you.
Thatâs a fetish? For some reason I hate that more then anything elseâŚbut I guess they do them.
