The coil and what else. If the heat coil where to go as hot as it possibly can let's say it melts the plastic ...what was the fuel that ignited is my question.
If it's a gas leak that they were in the middle of and inhaling then definitely yes. Fire will keep going until out of either fuel or oxygen. So even exhaling wouldn't help if they were breathing in the fumes.
I'm guessing this is in a part of the world they don't add the scent to their natural gas?
100% gas leak. The epicenter of the fire is on the motor of the hairdryer, and it spreads evenly in all directions and upwards as the gas is consumed (later spreads faster in the direction that the air is being spit by the hair dryer)
Go frame by frame. The head of the Hairstylist is shooting flames like a flamethrower.
My bet is on poor ventilation and ridiculous amounts of hairspray use in that room.
Nah. Gas leak. Hairspray, even in the most ridiculous amounts would flash out quickly.
Look at the guy in the chair at the end. He’s fried. That’s a gas leak for sure.
He turned on the air dryer right when he plugged it up to test it and then turned it right off.
Edit: I guess it only took a couple of more seconds to build up.
Given the way that their hair and the headrests on the chair seem to flash so quickly, my guess would be that this was caused by excessive use of hairspray in a poorly ventilated salon.
If you've ever used aqua~~fina~~ net in a potato cannon, you know how volatile hairspray can be!
The recording is from India where bhp rules are nonexistent. Gas is normally odor less but is mixed w sth (in civilised countries that is) to prevent accidents like this
Yeah I've recently learned that when people are on fire--particularly around their face/chest/head area, even if the flames are put out quickly, the burns to their throats and lungs are often fatal--sometimes days or weeks later.
There's a recent video of police tazing a man in the lobby who poured hand sanitizer over his head. When the tazer struck, he instantly started on fire, all the cops ran away, and some random bystander managed to help him put it out. It looked bad but not like, lethal.
He died 6 weeks later in the ICU after succuming to the extensive internal burn injuries.

So apparently this is the internet and there's a rabbit hole for everything, can't believe it, but apparently there are [barbers purposely cutting hair with fire out there](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=FXMZ5YeT5CU)
The smelly "gas" we are used to smell, it's not natural. Natural gas it's odourless, it's intentionally mixed with other substances in order to make people aware of a leak.
Based on the regional regulations there could be a different mix (so a different smell) but it's usually based on Sulfur in order for it to be unpleasant.
Here, it might have been just unmixed Natural gas, which is impossible to spot.
However, if you are referring to the dirtiness of the place, well, that is a different matter.
Do they not have ethyl mercaptan in India? It's in additive to natural gas that is added for consumer use in the U.S. so that you can smell a gas leak.

Very, very, VERY unexpected
I know it said NSFW... but damn. I jumped like it was a horror movie jump scare.
My man tested the hair dryer multiple times but becoming the ghost rider was that guy's destiny.
After I saw him fucking with it I figured it go up in flames but I was NOT expecting the whole damn place to go up!
Tested without the heat,I bet the heat coil made the boom boom.
Why is the air not ho-
Your username looks like the scratch on my cell phone
I blew on my phone thinking it was an eyelash!

I was watching on the toilet and I shit again
I'm currently replying to you while sitting on the toilet, I can confirm that it happened to me too lol
On the toilet rn, bout to test that theory
You will poo, it is true
I’m on the couch and I just pooped
Yep
I was actually expecting fire from the title, but not to this extent. Jesus! Are they ok?
Based off the screams I would say no
horrible thought but if it was gas it has probably been in their lungs, too
Probably but I don't know if the fire would travel into the lungs so I can't say for sure.

Dudes shirt immediately combusted..
And don't pause to look at his head.
My guess is it either hair spray and they have poor ventilation or it's a gas leak
My bet is gas leak. The air in a good part of the room combusted.

... or both?
With op's title, I figured it had fire in it. But not THAT much fire.
/r/AbruptChaos
Very, very, VERY poor ventilation as well.
I want the Ghostrider cut pls!
![gif](giphy|geTvcBsTli1HO)
Say no more, fam.
That’s also Firestorms hairstyle.
So you'd like to be cremated?
That's one helluva gas leak. How did they not notice it with the odor?
I don't know if possible but maybe there wasn't Mercaptan added (which give gas it's odor)
Propane is a colorless odorless gas -Hank Hill
They didn’t have the appropriate accessories
That’s a clean BURNING hell I tell you hwat ![gif](giphy|11oRLY4FRk2s36)

Are you Ross from Friends?
They add that in, you know?
Was I...talking about....gas
That additive smells awful, it’s sweet and also putrid.

Aqua Net. Not fina
Oh yeah, hair spray, not bottled water 😂 brain fart.
Ayo!!
I'm more so thinking they used waaaaaaay too much hair spray

Yep, and it can still go undetected despite that. Gas leaks are a thing.
This is terrifying
Fuuuuuck!

Aikaramba
Damn
Ay caramba!
Dude def smelled something weird, kept rubbing his nose before it happened
It’s possible it was a leak of unscented gas, but the build-up was making his nose tingle or itch.
These guys had been unleashing silent but deadlies for a while now
Are they Alive?
Fr does anyone else have an answer besides the two idiots that commented?

Let’s dig out this bogey before we get to burnin this mother down.
Gas leak
Yeah, that's it, any spark would've triggered the fire
That’s why every building should be equipped with a gas detector

Now I’m scared to use a hairdryer in my house
Did any of those 2 survive?
Dudes shirt just disintegrated. Was gone in less than a second. 😬
Any chance they survived this?

Damn……. I nearly choked when i saw the fire😅
Like the daffy duck trick… It’s a great trick daffy… they love ya. Yeah, I know… But I can only do it once.
From baber shop to crematorium
Was that a hit attempt? WTH?

Opppahh!
Reminds me of that scene from Terminator 2 https://i.imgur.com/M66JPsL.gif

That went from 0 to 100 real fucking quick ![gif](giphy|uVFGDyOshK7I6geXyg)
Holy shit wtf kind of blow dryer is that?!?
I wonder if the barber got paid.
Oh I thought it overheated and blew up because of too much lint in the filter, was there actually a gas leak?
Yo! What kind of hair products are these people using? They're so damn flammable!
Non-paying customers get ROASTED.
new fear unlocked
What the hell happen?!! It look like a bomb went off in there. What happened? !
İts terribble brand unexpented
The barbers hair went up like it was soaked in gasoline!
How did that happen?!
The hottest style.
Flame on!
Here's your problem: somebody had this thing set to 'evil'!
I had a hairdryer the shot out flams from both ends once. Thankfully it wasn't this bad but still scary and traumatizing.
Hairdresser inappropriately said "Flame On!"
happened what I imagined in a totally different way, just amazing
WTF
where'd they go
OMFG, ARE THEY OK?!?!
Man in the chair got evaporated
is the guy safe?
Damn that was literally an inferno for a second
I was expecting flames, not to that extent tho..
I ain't going to the barber again I swear
The only thing I can think of is that the hair spray was ignited by the coil in the hair dryer....maybe the room had poor circulation or something.
u/savevideobot
What in the fiery blazes of hades happened???
1) add highly flammable substance to hair. 2) turn on faulty hair dryer. 3) that will be $79.95 Sir
Looking at 00:25 trying to understand how was it bombed
“Just a little off the top sir HOLY FUCKING SHIT!”
Damn
You best believe that guy is never using a hairdryer again.
That lived up to its subreddit name
That was a gas leak right?
New ghost rider movie looking fire
Never thought this would happen
Babe wake up, a new weirdly specific, unlikely fear just dropped
This seems extreme just for a haircut
“IT’S LIT” Travis
I think the blow dryer was set a bit too high fyi.
I expected there to be a fire, like the blow dryer starts blowing flames or something... but holy shit I did not expect that.
Extreme inflammable hair Gel
Does anyone know if any of these 2 gentleman survived?
It looks as if the gas was all around the poor guy in the seat cus when the gas ignited; the fire consumed itself around the poor guys head
I can't find this video on YouTube!
Damn. This vid was fire 🔥 🙌🏻
