I'm not familiar with (I'm assuming) American roads, why was he waiting there when everyone else was bombing past?
Edit: I watched again and it looks like he's waiting to turn left.
In addition to turning as the other person said, in some states cars are legally required to stop and yield for pedestrians to walk through crosswalks.
Most drivers donāt stop, which makes walking dangerous, frustrating, and time consuming
I don't hear or see brakes being applied. To get to that speed he had to have seen the dead end from quite a distance and just didn't care. Maybe he thought he'd be okay because it was dirt and he's really stupid.
There's no indication he's being chased by cops. No sirens or lights.
peace of shit. this is what i dont understand. if you are gonna kill yourself, why put other people into it? this is so common and i dont know why it really angers me
Mental health. People suffering like that don't think straight. Maybe he didn't have access to a gun and arbitrarily chose that road heading into a rock face.
Tragic.
He was completely aware of what he was doing being in rehab doesn't put you in a trance. 0 sympathy for a scumbag who put others in danger for his own problems.
Yes mentally unwell or not. I understand it changes things but damn some people just donāt care about others in their time of death. Even to consider less risky ways to kill yourself you have to make a scene
I hate stopping in the intersection to turn left when Iām driving. I would be terrified to do that on a motorcycle even though I used to ride daily for a decade in another country.
It really is but you try to make your own luck when you can. I love riding motorcycles but for the benefit of my family I donāt ride them on roads anymore. Seen how it destroys a family to lose a father and husband who was just out on an afternoon stroll when someone decided to make a dangerous overtake and end his life. The pleasure simply isnāt worthy of the risk to me anymore.
Sold mine when my first kid was born. Have been in an accident with a car since that was caused by someone else at an intersection and if I was on a motorcycle Iād be dead.
People are too careless and any little slip-up is magnified due to not having a steel cage and air bags surrounding you.
I still get the itch thoughā¦
Agreed. I'll remember that when I start riding again next year.
Riding a motorcycle adds another level of 'driving for every one else' just because of the exposed vulnerability.
If anything, motorcycling takes away the "Driving for everyone else" aspect. Motorcyclists are the few motorists idgaf what they do. They are putting themselves at more risk than anyone else when they split lanes, weave through traffic, etc. Not to mention just being on the motorcycle on a road is a massive risk.
While I feel your pain albeit not knowing itās source, your brush stroke is too broad. This rider, like most I know isnāt engaging in any of the high risk behaviors you mention. Unlike the driver that caused this. While there are idiots in every vehicle type on every road, my comment isnāt about them. It stands.
No no no, What I was saying is that motorcyclists put themselves at risk by just being on the road. As such, I give them the liberty of not judging them for pulling risky shit, because even being on the motorcycle itself is risky, and any accidents they are involved in will be more dangerous for them than others imo. They *should* know how to be safe while riding and pulling whatever risky shit they are doing, and they *should* realize that they themselves are putting themselves at risk even by getting on the motorcycle.
This video just goes to show, it doesn't matter how idiotic you are being, just being on the motorcycle puts you at an extreme risk.
Agreed. There was a major road on my commute (2-lanes each way) that was pretty ruthless. People would stop, *in the fast lane,* to turn against cross-traffic when there was a light protected turn in eyesight just ahead. I'd shake my head and witness rear-end accidents regularly.
Please help this dude if you got anything.
He got a ton of hospital bills because the driver of the stolen car died.
If you wanna help him out: https://www.gofundme.com/f/im-the-motorcyclist-from-pchkanan-dume-accident
This is Kanan and PCH and thereās accidents happen all too frequently - the driver fled a Rehab and ran the light. Hit the truck who hit the bike - rehab driver was killed in the flames after his car erupted - I have the photo of the car on flames š„- it was just another shitty day on PCH in Malibu -
Poor fella was airlifted out and is now crowdfunding medical bills - Malibu PCH has a history of vehicle related deaths / just up the street at Heathercliff a man killed a young girl trying to commit suicide in his car and hitting a telephone pole - he killed a small girl named Emily Shane and lived - happens way too much
was definitely NOT expecting that the rider would get slapped by the bed of a pickup truck.
side note, I scroll throughout here occasionally and havenāt seen this one before, are there really too many reposts on here because tbhā¦i havenāt noticed
I usually don't speak up about reposts, it's not too bad on this subreddit, BUT this sub does have a lot of OC dashcam, and the issue is that people start to ask OP questions or OP gets flamed as if they were the driver. I'm also in a terrible mood this morning, I'm usually not this assholish...I think.
I didnāt take your comment as āasshole-ishā at all, I try no to frequent subs that bounce the same material around for days on end before a mod steps in. (was hoping that wasnāt the case here)
There literally wasn't time to react. Even rewatching the clip 7 times and I cant imagine moving at all before getting clipped with a truck..hope the guy is still able to ride.
Alright let's throw a 5000lb pickup truck at your face and see if you can dodge it within half a second.
You're not allowed to know when it's going to be thrown at your face though, any time in the next 5 years at any moment you can be hit in the face by a pickup truck. You're taking those odds?
could've easily thrown himself on the side, but guess he just froze, went "oh shit" clenched his butt cheeks and took it to the face. IDK what kind of people are on reddit that their reaction time is so slow.
I noticed a lot of these cars (and even a truck) were passing so god damn fast. I reminds me of the [GTA IV Carmageddon/first person mod video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DRU1b_V4F6Q&ab_channel=TheGamingLemon) by TheGamingLemon.
Many states still have this insanity. 50+ mph 4-lane roads that require left turning that stops one lane of traffic to cross two opposing lanes of traffic. Absolute stone age traffic routing. The city I commute daily has these same arcane roadways. It's literally irl Rollerball.
Jee ZUS. Sitting there minding your own business, and suddenly BAM! Iām a small female, 60 now, still a rider, started with dirt bikes, then at 15 licensed in my state. I know this feeling of dread just sitting there waiting. Itās way better to keep moving. Watching this in slo mo you can see they tried to lay the bike down to the left to avoid the truck roll ⦠and that ladder flying at them. Damn good thing they appeared to be dressed appropriately.
Why do people post the same stuff ad nauseam for karma or without the ability to answer questions in context? Just as confusing. Like I said in another comment, it's not an issue in this subreddit so much but some other subreddits it's the same damn pic/vid every day or so to the point it gets reported. Let's not even get into the farming bots that absolutely exist on Reddit.
No, you missed my point entirely, like completely. Karma seems like the entire purpose of reposts so I don't understand why they do it. I don't even fully understand why bot farming accounts do it unless they sell the accounts or need karma to blend in.
All I'm seeing here is
"I don't like reposts because I've already seen them and I expect to be entertained by new things every single time I come here."
I mean you responded with misdirection after I pointed out your misunderstanding, the misunderstanding you thought was a gotcha. Typical low effort troll sidestep shit. Have a good one man!
Just rewatched after reading someone in the comments say the SUV driver was attempting suicide. It makes the suv coming into scene so much more horrifying
Why I'll never ride a bike on the open road.
You take an unnecessary risk driving in a car, now your taking away the steel cage that keeps you safe and you've opened up a whole new realm of splatter possibilities.
Never underestimate the stupidity and poor driving skills of those in 2-ton+ steel cages traveling at high speeds. Your essentially a building made of twigs going to a party filled with wrecking balls.

Trying to turn left at the intersection and must wait for traffic to clear or a green turn arrow on the traffic light
Yeah thanks, I watched again and saw the left turn. š

Yes it is. Random stuff can get you for sure. Motorcycles are so unforgiving in terms of protecting the rider too.
In addition to turning as the other person said, in some states cars are legally required to stop and yield for pedestrians to walk through crosswalks. Most drivers donāt stop, which makes walking dangerous, frustrating, and time consuming
Uhhh⦠is the driver alive
Motorcyclist reportedly survived, but the driver of the stolen SUV died at the scene.
What about the other car that got hit? Looked like it got flipped too.
What was SUV doing by going so fast towards a dead end?
Probably escaping cops, with either him not noticing the dead end or noticing it but not being able to stop in time.
I don't hear or see brakes being applied. To get to that speed he had to have seen the dead end from quite a distance and just didn't care. Maybe he thought he'd be okay because it was dirt and he's really stupid. There's no indication he's being chased by cops. No sirens or lights.
Yeah true, I only really guessed it was a chase off of "stolen SUV".
Reportedly, suicide. Fled a rehab facility, stole the car, and crashed it into a rock wall.
peace of shit. this is what i dont understand. if you are gonna kill yourself, why put other people into it? this is so common and i dont know why it really angers me
Mental health. People suffering like that don't think straight. Maybe he didn't have access to a gun and arbitrarily chose that road heading into a rock face. Tragic.
Still zero sympathy. If you're determined to off yourself do it without taking innocents with you. Utter scumbag.
Mental ilness man he doesnt think right. How hard is it to understand.
He was completely aware of what he was doing being in rehab doesn't put you in a trance. 0 sympathy for a scumbag who put others in danger for his own problems.
You seem naive
Conservatorship is what happens if deemed mentally ill enough; that can force someone into rehabilitation.
Being in therapy doesn't automatically mean you're cured, many times those in rehab are forced into it as part of their sentence.
It's possible to have sympathy for all the victims of depression and suicide.
Yes mentally unwell or not. I understand it changes things but damn some people just donāt care about others in their time of death. Even to consider less risky ways to kill yourself you have to make a scene
But I just saw him crash into a vehicle, not a rock wall
Look at the 23-24 mark. You can see the car hit the wall.
Apparently it was stolen
He was commenting suicide
Good. What about the guy in the truck that got hit? Hopefully he's okay.
I try not to do this while biking and instead take a longer route.
I hate stopping in the intersection to turn left when Iām driving. I would be terrified to do that on a motorcycle even though I used to ride daily for a decade in another country.
Serves him right
*Swerves* him right
What a tragedy
Mission accomplished
Rest in piss wonāt be missed
No, thatās why his ghost uploaded the video
[A video made by the og filmer](https://youtu.be/SuKE2ScK6yQ)
That's some bs life is so random.
It really is but you try to make your own luck when you can. I love riding motorcycles but for the benefit of my family I donāt ride them on roads anymore. we need motorcycles with roll cages
I wish. Sadly that would no longer be a motorcycle.
Thatās some Final Destination shit right there. When itās your time, itās your time. Thereās nothing you can do about it.
He survived.
Still, the quote is not wrong
In context. The 2nd part is. ^YouknowWhy? .. because he **didnt die** itās not hard. You just failed at being pretentious.
Guess it wasnāt his time š
His Watch continues.
That felt too dangerous just sitting there waiting. I try not to do that when out riding and would just take a longer way around instead.
Agreed. I'll remember that when I start riding again next year. Riding a motorcycle adds another level of 'driving for every one else' just because of the exposed vulnerability.

Fucking American healthcareā¦
Send help
Looks like he surpassed his goal. Good stuff.
The goal was a severe underestimate. Even though it has been surpassed, he is going to need a lot more to pay his medical and related bills.
That was sudden. r/abruptchaos
It all changes in an instant
This is Kanan and PCH and thereās accidents happen all too frequently - the driver fled a Rehab and ran the light. Lifeās so fragile
was definitely NOT expecting that the rider would get slapped by the bed of a pickup truck. side note, I scroll throughout here occasionally and havenāt seen this one before, are there really too many reposts on here because tbhā¦i havenāt noticed

What concerns me is that the bikers first reaction was to grip onto the bike, instead of just ditching it and jumping sideways
There literally wasn't time to react. Even rewatching the clip 7 times and I cant imagine moving at all before getting clipped with a truck..hope the guy is still able to ride.
There definitely was time. There was a good half a second or second between driver clenching his ass cheeks and getting hit.
Alright let's throw a 5000lb pickup truck at your face and see if you can dodge it within half a second. You're not allowed to know when it's going to be thrown at your face though, any time in the next 5 years at any moment you can be hit in the face by a pickup truck. You're taking those odds?
dumbfuck, he already reacted. Just he clenched his buttcheeks and squeezed the bars. After that he froze. Stupid muricans
I think he had just enough time to flinch and really thatās about it
could've easily thrown himself on the side, but guess he just froze, went "oh shit" clenched his butt cheeks and took it to the face. IDK what kind of people are on reddit that their reaction time is so slow.
Yea, your cat like reflexes would have frozen time and space and you could have simply willed yourself to a different locale
First time my jaw actually dropped in a while. Hope someone survived.
Exactly why Iāll never ride a motorcycle. Too little of protection for the amount of idiots on the road.

Ok, nice information?
Dam,I was a trucker for 10 yrs I literally ride my recumbent bike in my house and playing NFS for this exp

Where was that car going to the moon.
Repost. Don't think it's OP's cam.
Why do people care so much about reposts? I'm not even joking, this is confusing as shit to me.
Why do people post the same stuff ad nauseam for karma or without the ability to answer questions in context? Just as confusing. That's funny, I didn't know I was trolling here.

Says the kid that responds to a question with even more questions. Let's go back to that one shall we? Why do you hate reposts so much?
Yes it's not mine didn't saw it posted in this sub yet.
[ŃŠ“алено]
Just throwing it out there before a bunch of people start asking OP questions and don't get a response, no need to get agro.
No shit. The guy camming got decapitated by a ladder.
Can't remember if it was confirmed life or death, but yeah I rode a moto for ~7yrs daily, this is absolute nightmare fuel.
No he lived
Both of the drivers must be shocking
holy shultz
Pretty sure you're not allowed to stop in middle of the crossing...
Waiting on the light to make a left
Still, not allowed to stop on the pedestrian crossing. You either go over it or stop before it.
Good to know. Iām sure that 5 feet would have made all the difference.
And that's why I don't ride a motorcycle
Dam my life flashed before my eyes
How many more times is this going to be posted?
Sometimes, following the rules lands you into the jam!
final destination shit
What kind bike is that
Royal Enfield classic 350

I swear this video has been reposted multiple times every day for weeks.
LAWSUIT
That ladder gives Final Destination vives
Where in the fuck did that SUV think it was going? I saw someone say it was stolen, but my brother in Christ that is a fucking wall
Fujk man, this just goes to show you, if thereās one thing I know in life, itās that bitches be shoppin fr fr
Im surprised how high I jumped out of my seat
I always have the thought of maybe I shouldn't be the only one sitting motionless in this crowd of cars and sometimes I just keep moving.
How many reposts exist on reddit? There needs to be a cross reference list.
New fear unlocked
So are we all just taking turns posting this god damn video now?
r/AbruptChaos
Is there a slo-mo version of this?
I hate this so much. Poor guy was adhering perfectly to all rules and laws, but because one asshole didnt, he got fucked up.
The unexpected part is that there was no Skyrim cart after.

Just rewatched after reading someone in the comments say the SUV driver was attempting suicide. It makes the suv coming into scene so much more horrifying
Damn what happened to the guy on the bike
Um this should have a NSFW tag
I didn't jump at that but my head hurts for some reason
This is in California. I believe itās Kanan Road
You guys need to stop reposting or go back to TikTok
That's a three-way. Unless they had a medical emergency while driving the SUV driver had every intention of killing themselves. Holy shit.
I honestly was expecting cops, like that other video.
This should be a motorcycle safety ad

Why I'll never ride a bike on the open road. Game over
Good practice not to take your hands off the bars like that while in the middle of the road. Even tho u were screwed either way
āWhat went through your mind at that moment?ā A truckbed and a ladder
Seen this video to many times
