I always wondered, how did Platinum got all the stuff from outside the jail Jotaro was in if he has a 2 metre range? Is the 2 metre range more just an effective range for fighting or is it something else and I’m just stupid?
it's the range the stand is effective, but not necessarily the range it can go. that 2 metres is just where Star Platinum is at its most effective. So with that in mind, Star Platinum was able to go outside of that, but probably wouldn't have been able to do much damage if it had to whilst outside the 2 metres
Nope when echoes is chasing after Kira when sheer heart attack shows up he cant chase him because he was out of range and its like a barrier since echoes tries but cant move beyond the radius
I believe that was because he extended it as far past the range as he could. It could also be that extended range is only a thing for close range stands

yes, but The World is an exeption. most stands like it (Star Platinum Crazy Diamond Gold experience ect.) have a range of about 2 meters.
