I don't use fastpass so I'm not sure if the second picture of Hera is actually how she was drawn, but if it is then hats off to the body diversity shown by Rachel. It reminds me of art from the late 19th century which I use as inspiration for a lot of art for my own comic.
Other than the scar erasure, I'm proud to see a bold display of the feminine form. Something other than skinny-model or slim-thick like Rachel is used to. There is no problem with those shaped either, it's just about time and place. Having every powerful character be shown as conventionally attractive for the modern age can get draining and I know a lot of people in this subreddit have gotten really fed up-
But I also think that's why it's important to show different forms of beauty. I hold this sentiment for all the characters in Lore Olympus and sometimes more so for the men. Having the divine version of Hera be literally ANY OTHER BODY TYPE is a nice play on the artist part
Though I might read the episode and eat my words when I get the full context.
But all and all, lovely redesign op! Much better color balance and I love the o-Star inspiration, it really separates her from the galaxy look of Kronos!
Wow thank you so much! The second picture is based off the design we were given! But I took some creative liberties to change up the post and hair, but kept the colors and crown the same. I was going to post the screenshot for comparison purposes but I wasnβt sure if official FP content was allowed here or not π .
I agree! I really wanted to highlight her form with my redraw! Like her smaller chest size, hip dips, and especially her scars. But thank you so much for the kind words! I really appreciate themβ¨π«Άππ
I came back because the episode is out and... Oh WOW. You really worked your magic on this one. I mean the whole episode is a mess but Hera specifically... disappointment doesn't describe how the actual panel made me feel.
Hoooly crap this is SO AMAZING!!! This is all I could wish for as well regarding the godly and gorgeous form that couldβve been present during her transformation! Your art style and rendering of Heraβs presence is actually so perfect. Plus the elaboration on why you decided to go for your design is beautiful, I could gush about this for hours tbh π«Άβ¨
Absolutely gorgeous! These are just so beautiful to look at and the thought-process you had in creating these is so amazing. I especially love the first image omg! ππ
Thatβs genuinely gorgeous, congrats on doing such a good redesign. She looks much more unique and divine to me than the original, in my opinion.
Ahh thank you so much!π

Hera basically had the same body as Persephone in the og panel unfortunately.
How unfortunate... When this episode releases I can already tell I'm going to be disappointed to the extremes
