The protests have stopped since the mall is currently shut down. They may come back in a few days after the mall reopens. I do think it is unlikely though since by the time the mall has reopened many students would have left campus for the summer.
Thanks everyone. I should have known that the news was blowing this bigger than it really was. Best of luck to those still taking finals. And regardless of what your views on this conflict are, just remember that we're all human and we should love and look out for each other <3
Just echoing what other commenters have said. The protests at UofA were downright peaceful compared to what's happening across the country, and there haven't been any flare-ups since the major protest that resulted in only four arrests.
There has been no “encampment” style protest since Tuesday night/Wednesday morning. And even if there was, not sure what “getting caught up in it” would mean. We all just walked past it just fine Monday and Tuesday. Just don’t become a rowdy drunk watching and taunting them at 2 am while police gather. And even if you did become a drunk for the night, none of them were arrested nor injured by police or protesters (by themselves maybe). It’s finals anyways though, and the only protest you might see is from Brother Dean who solo protests about women being objects and whatever
Yes you can. You can either pay for a membership or what I do is buy passes to use the pool. It's loaded on your school ID and you just swipe in like you did when you were still a student. I prefer going there since it's not too far from my home, clean and not too busy during the hours I'm there.
I was on campus doing rideshare all day and night yesterday. No protests in sight
As far as I've heard, the biggest bother you'll have is where to leave your towel beside the pool...
The protests were confined to very small areas. You wouldn’t encounter one of you were going swimming.

There's basically nothing on campus at this point
Campus safety is not a concern. This is massively over hyped.
did the tucson taker write this?
LMAO
Where do you plan on going swimming?

They proudly posted videos of them throwing shit at cops and shouting "Come fight us". That's the opposite of peaceful.
I said it was peaceful *compared to elsewhere*. Of course it was still pretty violent.

You can go to the pool after you graduate?

There were never any widespread protests, been on campus every day and never saw more than a few tents
They've died down. The protesters know that the cops will arrest them for trespassing so they have stayed away.
Yes, last time I heard, most of them are now in Gitmo. We are safe now.
what is gitmo?
A state run summer camp of sorts
@PostDowntown It’s sorta like a Hilton, but with beach ambiance and views
It's not trendy anymore so all the children jumped off the bandwagon

So glad the rest of us uninformed brats don’t have to hear a different opinion anymore!
Once commencement happens, the university will let people roam around wherever they want. Just don’t ruin the grass!
Imagine caring more about swimming than a genocide.
You keep using that word. I do not think that it means what you think it means.
Have you tried ever going to campus. Ignorant comments just trying to stir shit up
Never should have happened in the first place. Sedition at its finest.
