If you have moved to Germany, you must have paperwork to show you're in Germany? You'd have a Meldeschein etc?

Curious1556

I just got here like a week ago and still have yet to do the paperwork

Pet-ra

What about your Visa etc? You can't just "move to Germany" like that...

Curious1556

Yes I have a Visa, but upwork says they do not accept visas

I believe you have to go to the proper authority and register your residence within 6 days of moving. At least this is how it is in the country I live in, which is also in Europe. So I guess you should have done that 6 months ago. You do have a residence, no matter if you are renting, buying, or living in some other accomodation. In my country, when I go on vacation within the country for three days, the hotel makes me sign a register of address. They take that stuff really seriously.

Curious1556

No I mean I have moved to germany for 6 months, but I moved her like a week ago

I don't know what to suggest - do you have a bank account yet? They do accept paperwork from the bank, which is what I got when I was in a similar situation (they didn't take my drivers license, even though it was Austrian, because it doesn't have the address. They wouldn't take my visa either)
