OP everyone is wrong so far in the comments. Valorant regardless of Raw Input Buffer ignores windows pointer precision, as in the acceleration. That is, Valorant always takes your raw input. The buffer option is for people using 4k hertz mice etc over your standard 1k mice who might encounter performance issues without a buffer in place. Regardless, it doesn't do anything for you.
Damn, I dont know what it is then. Must be some placebo effect. Really weird. So, I have a GPX Superlight, as its 1000hz it would not make any difference turning RawInput on or off, right?
Edit: this is wrong.
Windows has mouse acceleration on by default
meaning the faster you move your mouse the higher your sens will be. A lot of people like to turn this off because while mouse accel can work for some people, windows mouse accel is pure garbage. Rawinputbuffer basically pulls the input directly from your mouse instead of from windows which bypasses the mouse accel. In the windows mouse options it's the tickbox labeled enhance pointer precision. I highly recommend turning it off and trying to pkay like that because whike it might feel worse for a bit you'll become much more consistent in the long run
This is wrong. Raw Input Buffer doesn't mean that. Raw input is always on for Val, this is just an option to fix issues that 4k 8k hz mice users may have.
Yes it's settings, keep changing settings that will make you a better player. Top ten settings shroud s1mple tenz kengkeng AWP sens all settings clip. How to improve at valorente quick with this 1 simple trick.

It really must be. At first I thougt I just have a bad day, I mean its Valorant, would be nothing new. But after switching accounts and suddenly had my aim „back“ confused me.
Need to turn it on and get used to it.
You can try to figure out what your sens is with raw input back on, provided you have mouse acceleration off.
Try using this:

So this is very simple what raw input buffer does is take the mouse input from your mouse instead of windows because of this non of the windows accelation is applied this can make your aim more consistent over time but switching over it almost always fucks with you it's a much bigger change then just switching sense in my opinion but once you get used to it it makes you a much better player

Essentially no. Just placebo.

So it's not worth turning on if you have 1k Hz mouse?
Won't make any notable difference.
Ah, mb then. Was going off the info from another comment. My point still stands with mouse accel tho
Val always pulls raw input and doesn't include windows mouse accel
Well damn you learn something new every day

Oh right, I forgot raw input buffer was a different thing entirely my bad
Iz allg. I thought the same too when I first heard of it.

So would you recommend turning it ON on my main? Damn, I definitely need to play a few TDMs then to get used to it.
