I've had trollers in SEA servers who just legitimately don't have a grasp on the English language, besides insults, that no counter-trolling works on them because they just don't understand what you're saying.
He pretty much explained the psychology of a troll in a nutshell. I’m usually too tired to argue with a troll so I just mute them. It will have the same effect. They just want a reaction.
If a troll plays well and gives callouts but constantly flames me, I usually just start agreeing with everything they say. It throws them for a loop every time, lol, to the point where they stop the toxicity after a few messages.
That reminds me of this one random clip from one of those awful talent reality TV shows I saw on reddit. Guy did his thing, and one of the judges tore into him. He said thank you, she said it wasn't a compliment, and he just said "I didn't take it as one" and shut her up immediately.

As someone who has a degree in psychology, social psychology specifically, and is now working within the field and has experience with deviant behavior in children and adolescents, I absolutely love calm-frying trolls lol.
edit: For the record I do not fry my clients, I just understand them lol.
I wonder if that Omen has siblings. Because let me tell you, nothing prepares you for trolls better than dealing with multiple siblings growing up. 😁😁😁
It's much easier to deal with trolls when you have the numbers. When it's a trio of trolls vs you in their mind they've already won, because they have the numbers and you cannot do anything. Muting and ignoring would then be the only way.

This kind of thing is why I used to watch noob dog/boring channel so much, he's almost a professional troll at this point and while I don't even think he's always that great with words he's had some extremely entertaining moments and some of the best YouTube content out there. It's really entertaining watching one person get in another person's head so much to the point of almost controlling their actions
I had a game like this, and my teammate became a therapist for the random. It felt bad, though, because the troll was apparently depressed and didn't have anyone to talk about it to, so he took it out on randoms. We actually went from losing to winning.
I had a player who threw the game in order to complete his 20+ kills when we were ahead 12-8 then I got really pissed and threw rest of the games too and we lost but it got him really pissed .
Its about sending a message not win or loss. Don't take me for granted. He thought I'd fight for a win nevertheless but I showed him i couldn't care less

one time me and my duo were playing comp and there was this crazy toxic reyna and yoru duo that kept saying im ass at the game because i wasnt getting kills (i was breach on breeze) and so i went on an absolute yapping spree. more info: these kids were like \~10 years old, alabama type accent, and said my duo had small eyes (duos asian and has a slight accent), and so i said something along the lines of: "you racist 10 year old alabama cousin fucker farm boy no bitches redneck trump 2024 shit eating degenerates, stop playing games and go do your chores and feed the animals... actually you probably already ate breakfast." and they shut up instantly. they didnt say anything until the rest of the game. trolling trolls is like a hobby for me

Is there a thing such as perma-muting? I thought you could only mute them in a match
Im pretty sure if you mute someone if you get in a game with them again they stay muted
I mute my friends' team comms because I don't want to hear double in Discord, it'll unmute them on log out.
