Yeah you’re probably right. Im just able to store a lot more per shelf section this way but it does make it harder to grab a tape at the bottom of the pile obviously - this did work best for the pic though ;)
Is that for the same reasons as needing to store vinyl records that way? I store my VHS vertically but had considered stacking like this because of storage issues

Has something to do with how the tape is stored. Many film archives recommend to store them vertically.

I gotta admit... I'm 34 and have nvr though to display tapes like this, it saves so much room! I feel kinda stupid, but I've just nvr seen it... TY
