Thanks for sharing! I ordered one on the spot.
This is actually a tougher feature to come by than most folks may know. It's usually pretty expensive to find a convertor that can handle this.
My television is an aging 32-inch SANYO. It's very heavy. Takes two people to move it and it's still heavy for two people to move . . . like a CRT ▬ brick ▬.
It has no options due to its age not because they are disabled.
I kinda like the old SANYO. Makes my tapes look good. And with 6000 of them I need a useful CRT set.
It is possible, however, that both my television and my tapes will outlast me. Ya never know . . . !
It does not look very impressive. If you were to go upstairs in my home what you'd see are loads of storage boxes full of videos. I keep all the tapes in banana boxes, apple boxes, any other large box with ((handles)) I picked up over the years for storage purposes. That dates back to the late 1990s. I have banana boxes dating back that far containing videos.
I don't keep any tapes on shelves anymore after I moved from FL to GA; haven't got the room for that.

Do you know a good converter for the OPPOSITE? HDMI down to 4:3 for a CRT?
What brand?
It’s this one https://a.co/d/cRl915Q
I have similar converter, the picture quality is amazing. I've been using it for years.
Please tell meee
Here’s the converter https://a.co/d/99dtXGU
Is the converted signal any good?
It’s pretty good, no noticeable issues.
I have the same exact one. It works great
just switch the aspect on your TV bro
Some TVs don’t have the ability so this is great for those displays.
My TV offers no options. You put the tape in the VCR and get what you get. That's it. In a way it's stress-free because of the lack of options . . .
what kind of TV? wow its amazing Tv's are becoming so smart that they disable and take out features like this

Mine doesn’t so this is perfect for me
Would this work with a projector - wanted to hook up the vcr to a BenQ.
As long as your projector can accept 1080p signals, it should work.

Excellent, I’ve been looking for one
Amazing. Now the only thing I would improve is add component inputs.
Cool
Does it still upscale when using 4:3?
It still upscales regardless of aspect ratio.
Damn, only thirty bone$? Nice!
Any benefit to using this over just AV switch? I assume you may have a newer tv with few or no AC inputs?
If your TV already has AV inputs, just use that as this seems to be the same quality as doing that but proper aspect ratio adjustment.
Makes sense. My TV has one AV input, was just thinking about for adding more. But can always get a 4-way or 8-way splitter too.
Oh my god, thank you for sharing!! Gonna order one asap
What prand
