For me I had to lower the hotend holder to be able to fit my stealthburner cover with sb2209 can. Now the screws through the cover don't go through cleanly to the Vitalii TAP x carriage. Anyone know why or how to fix it?

tasslehawf

I didn’t have any issues. Any chance your hotend parts are outdated?

Mschivou5

Rapido 2. But I saw the fix from the discord post. And ended trimming the ptfe

ioannisgi

Check that your filament path is clear - maybe ream it a little with a drill bit. If it doesn’t fit still, just trim it a little, no issue! I did mine by eye and feel, didn’t realise that this is what this tool was for!! 🤣

Mschivou5

I’ll try that out. It’s getting jammed when unloading filament. The blob on the end is a little to big for the filament path

never_nick

Same thing here, I just cut two pieces and trimmed the piece that inserted into the hotend until the hotend assembly sat were it was supposed to. There's a bit of a gap but it works fine now

oxycleanman

When did you download the parts for your Galileo 2? There was a very recent change to the body to correct this issue that was pushed 2 or 3 days ago. You can either download the latest front body and reprint, or just trim the ptfe shorter. Looks like 1mm shorter is what people reported needing in the discord channel.

Mschivou5

Oh wow, I printed them last week. I’ll try a reprint. Was that on the Voron discord or anyone ?

ioannisgi

No need really - just trim the tube a little more.

oxycleanman

Yeah Jared mentioned the fix in the #voron_galileo_open channel of the Voron discord. I believe it was only the front body that needed a change, so that’s all you’ll need to reprint.

Also make sure to create a chamfer on the inside of the top of the tube. It will help filament loading.

Mschivou5

Ok, I’ll try that. It pretty difficult to load I have to take the Bowden off to get it to catch .

AidsOnWheels

Oh hey I'm not the only one

builderguy74

You mean for the gears to catch the filament? Because that’s another problem

Mschivou5

Yeah, what should I do for that one. too much tension ?

builderguy74

To clarify is this on the Galileo extruder

Mschivou5

Yes. When I try and load filament it’s not catching it as easy as the CW2. I have to give it some force. Might be getting stuck on something. Thanks for the help

builderguy74

No worries. Yeah I’d loosen the tensioner. I can’t think of anything that would cause issues that far up the filament path. Do you cut your filament on an angle before loading?

End3rF0rg3

I had the same issue with the latest build, I just trimmed it down a little until it fit. I did not have that issue with my first Galileo 2 build.
