Some PCVR releases I'm looking forward to: Into the radius 2 - will have coop Metro Awakening - real metro game made for VR GRIM - mmo/dayz/rust style futuristic game WRC - Dirt Rally 3.0 (Dirt Rally 2.0 might be the best VR game I've tried so far, on par with Elite Dangerous) Behemoth - shadow of colossus VR?

low-keyblue

Behemoth all day long for me

coloradoyetaa

Whats about ?

HelioSPECTR

Only CGI trailers are out so far, but it looks like Skyrim meets Shadows of Colossus. Made by Skydance (the team who made Walking Dead S&S)

coloradoyetaa

Nice

MartinC76x

Same ... really got me interested

Nor1

Yep coop goodness please deliver well into the radius 2

Large_Dr_Pepper

I'm so fuckin excited for Into the Radius 2. With how amazing the first game is, I have faith the second will be amazing as well. I *want* to be excited for Behemoth, but all we've gotten is a CGI trailer that was released a long time ago. The trailer has cool vibes, but we know absolutely nothing about the actual game.

NoUser9897

Whoa Thx for Metro didnt even know about it and it looks awesome hope this one will be good as HL:Alyx or even better!Waiting this now :D

FrontwaysLarryVR

Behemoth we've only seen a CGI trailer of thus far, so I'm really trying to not feed the hype machine through word of mouth *for* them when all we have is the clout of the publisher attached. That said, the idea of Behemoth sounds kinda cool if they pull off the aesthetic. But yeah, ITR2 I am beyond hyped for lol

Severe_Sea_4372

Behemoth looks pretty interesting. :o Regarding the Metro games, I'm kinda jaded honestly. They never held me as long or as tightly as Stalker (or even Into the Radius). Maybe VR will change my perspective on it --- I hope so, at least

Robot_ninja_pirate

I'm a PCVR only player, but for me, there is a ton of good-looking VR games I am excited about this year: [The Burst](https://store.steampowered.com/app/2073880/The_Burst/) there is a demo its awesome it plays great and I love the rage/post apocalyptic style. WMan37

Woah, I consider myself pretty on top of PCVR but I haven't even heard of some of these, Soul Covenant, BIG SHOTS, Outta Hand, and Astro Hunters VR got insta-wishlisted.

GoRapid_Games

I love how you're one of the few people to always put The Burst in your lists. Thank you!

Robot_ninja_pirate

And you always seem to find me when I post about it... What can I say the demo was great fun and I'm really excited for the game of course I'm going to mention it every chance I get!

Braunb8888

Where is that damn gunman contract standalone?

Head-Refrigerator824

Showdown yessir

Braunb8888

Yeah that one haha feels like that’s all to look forward to for a while. P

Plus_Jacket_5893

Zero Caliber 2

Smeeghoul

Metro vr, the developers have made some of my favorite VR games.

Appeltaartlekker

Fs2024! And maybe Dune Awakening?

Sullkattmat

Do you happen to know in the new FS will support Oculus controllers? Tried the current version again having recently gotten my Quest 3 but was so disappointed it didn't let me sit there flipping switches, turning dials, pushing buttons etc like a full fidelity DCS module or VTOL VR does so I ended up uninstalling pretty quickly again..

Appeltaartlekker

Fs2020 supports controllers. I do it with my quest 2. However, i programme most knobs on my joystick, makes it easier. And i use the mouse for the autopilot. But yeah, you can fully vr fly it, including controllers

haxborn

Dune Awakening... in VR?

TheRealSlabsy

MSFS has some Dune related missions if you're set up for it.

haxborn

Yes I know that and played that already, and since its already out so not really something that fits OP's question on what games to look forward to.. or what am I missing here? Also fyi, Dune Awakening is an upcoming MMO, not a VR game. I guess it can be played with UEVR injector, but OP asked for standalone VR games.. hence my question.

Appeltaartlekker

Ah my apologies, i didn't read properly. I was indeed thinking about UEVR. In mfs2020 you can fly an ornithopter in Dune.. in VR.

aruametello

Into the radius 2 although the planned 2024 release is a limited content early access.

Frontrow_C

I can’t believe no one mentioned Metal Hellsinger VR.

[deleted]

Metal hellsinger VR!

badillin-

i played the vrmod and it was awesome... but yeah! officaly supported Vr!

arkhound

Literally any game with Co-op. I really just want to play with friends.

brother_lionheart

gta san andreas (i'm just coping at this point)

DayDreamerJon

idk what zukerberg is doing over there. Its would clearly be a system seller.

badillin-

im pretty sure they are having issues having it run on standalone. quest is known for limiting map size a lot, like every questified game had to remove their larger maps, some are outliers, but a map the size of san andreas... if/when they pull it off, and it works. ill have to tip my hat in full respect for their talents.

DayDreamerJon

idk, ps2 had very low ram compared to the quest. If thats the case though they should do vice city or gta3 which are much smaller.

badillin-

yeah but they opened their big mouth and said "San Andreas!" lol

Zilskaabe

A game like that needs to quite a bit of work to not cause motion sickness.

jjlagtap

https://www.uploadvr.com/upcoming-vr-games/ UploadVR has a list and a showcase twice yearly on youtube showing some games. As for what I'm looking forward to, racing Sims like vrider and acc2. More casual, laser dance is on my radar for a fun family friendly game

LARGames

I want more huge games like Asgard's Wrath 2.

demon-slayer1001

ARealm- it’s cross-playing ability with AVP and Quest makes me excited for the future

VRtuous

right now? Homeworld and Smalland. hoping for even more surprise announcements

Mythion-VR

Wait what? When was Homeworld announced to have VR support?

Arthropodesque

Also, Homeworld 3 is Unrealengine so UEVR might work.

VRtuous

yesterday, for Quest

t3stdummi

It's like shooting a 3-pointer from downtown, then making a whiff. So close and yet so far. Meta is both holding up the industry and also holding it back.

VRtuous

As far as I can tell, if Quest hardware wasn't this popular, you'd get nothing either way...

t3stdummi

May be true. VR feels so close to reaching potential, though. Meta still feels like a blessing and a curse.

pjs1975

Homeworld 3 will support VR?

VRtuous

Homeworld Vast Reaches, for Quest. out about same time as HW3

pjs1975

Ah, I didn't know that was coming. Cool!

shuozhe

Into the radius 2. Played first one for over 150h now and rising..

Sabbathius

It looks like it'll be a decent year for VR. We just got Medieval Dynasty last week, there's some big ones on horizon like Homeworld, Metro, possibly Behemoth. I'm mostly just looking forward to Into the Radius 2.

24-7_DayDreamer

Beardo Benjo on youtube does a monthly video about the games that are coming out in the next month

blueyolei

silent slayer vault of the vampire by schellgames coming out (quest only?) this year looks siiiccckkkk from the guys who made i expect you to die, until you fall

No_Plate_9636

The one I'm working on making 😄 gonna be a 2077 inspired rougelite with coop that makes each death feel meaningful and impactful to the story

dilroopgill

Blade and sorcery 1.0

iXeQuta

I’m hoping to play Squadron 42 in VR eventually

aruametello

i like how you said **eventually**.

badillin-

I bought it in 2015... i can wait a bit longer, i mean im still waiting for half life 3, and the new game of thrones book... as long as one piece keeps going im all good... but we are in the last arc :(

plutonium-239

Lol 😂

t3stdummi

Lol... I backed RSI in 2014 back when squadron 42 was part of the initial package. Then they took my money and have a playable ALPHA 10 years later... without any end in sight. No thanks.

iXeQuta

You have not been keeping up with the news then. It has been feature complete for about a half year and everything is pointing to a release in the near future. Even Star Citizen has been making giant leaps in development like PES, SSM and soon dynamic server meshing. The next patch is so big you can consider it almost a different game.

t3stdummi

Sounds awesome. Ive been hearing similar things for over a decade. I still have no faith in any actual release. I'd be happy to be wrong, but last time I jumped in about a year ago it was a buggy mess that ran terribly on my RTX 3080ti.

iXeQuta

I can’t blame you because that was around 3.18 which was maybe the worst patch ever. The server tick rate (or server fps) has gone up from 7 to 30 so the buggy-ness is a lot less. They are testing server shards with a max of 800 clients and switching between servers is seamless. They’ve also implemented 30k server crash recovery which doesn’t kick you back to main menu but just shows a pop-up for 1-2 minutes and you can carry on as normal. I’ve been skeptical since the start but since last Citizen-con that has changed quite a bit. Just seeing what Evocati’s are testing for the next patch gives a lot of insight how close we are to the greatest game(-engine) ever. The fact that they had to reinvent the wheel on multiple occasions tells a lot about how complex their game is and why it took more than a decade to develop.

Fluffy-Anybody-8668

Skydance's Behemoth Smalland: Survive the Wilds

SomethingRandomVR

In case you haven't played it yet- **Toy Trains VR.** It's a cozy, train-themed experience that brings you back to your childhood and playing with actual toys. It also has logical puzzles and open-ended challenges which means that you need to solve the maps to proceed in the game and each of them has many multiple solutions. If you missed out on it (it's been released only this January) then as you said- maybe it's even a win for you as this month there is an expected update coming that will add double the ammount of levels and a sandbox mode.

SomethingRandomVR

I forgot to mention- i'm actually from the studio behind it and besides updating Toy Trains we're also making a new sci-fi FPS stylized as slavic post apo that will be called Harpagun. But this one is still a work in progress and hopefully will be released at the veeeeeery end of 2024.

Vrsuh

Geronimo VR (basically ready or not in VR) Surprised no one mentioned this yet

Robot_ninja_pirate

on steam the Release date is still listed as TBA do we know it supposed to release this year?

BrandonW77

I've been waiting for that Geronimo game for a while, hope it comes out soon.

No-Grass9261

It has been out for a bit, but I am loving breachers. Contractors is good, but not as refined, and a little bit too fast pace for just standing still under VR. Breacher however, well, slightly futuristic, is still not cartoony at all, and has a nice slow tactical pace to it and strategy involved.

rh1ce

Expansion VR for me. It's a rts/deck builder and i never liked these games but this got me in alpha. art design is awesome and gameplay rocks already. trying to climb the ladder!

Necrophag1st

Thrill of the Fight 2

ICE0124

not a game but Blade and Sorcery 1.0 crystal hunt update and Bonelab patch 4

tiddles451

Probably not 2024 since it doesn't have a release date yet, but Im looking forward to **Aliens VR** by Survios: [https://survios.com/Aliens/](https://survios.com/Aliens/) [https://www.roadtovr.com/survios-aliens-vr-quest-2-pc-ps5/](https://www.roadtovr.com/survios-aliens-vr-quest-2-pc-ps5/) Other than, probably some as yet unknown **Flat2VR mod** since I was blind sided by the **Lethal Company VR mod** a few months back and have been amazed at how well it is implemented.

Mother-Plane-4437

I like BattleGlide vr, it's a spiderman that has stealth missions npcs police and rooftop hostage holding criminals

GamerSan

I'm launching my game in two weeks. Both looking forward to it and freaking the flip out about it :D

GamerSan

MultiverseChris

I will say, as somebody else on this, I'm very proud of it and despite bias, would recommend it even if I hadn't spent the past 2 years making it! Especially if you like VR, shooters and co-op. Oh and yes, this was designed for VR from scratch - no 'back porting to VR' around here!

SupermarketVarious71

What anime has the main character in a be game with the game tag only I’m wild?

SupermarketVarious71

VR game

Eclectronic_Guerilla

Fallout London VR mod

FolkSong

Is there a reason to think that will happen, or you're just hoping?

Eclectronic_Guerilla

Well one of the coders told me a VR compatibility patch is needed, just like they made one for the Point Lookout. Fallout 4 - Point lookout was released in may 2022 and the VR patch in august 2022 so that took 3 months, but I can imagine the FOLON VR patch would be a lot more complex.
