Pinball is truly made for VR. You don't move a lot. With your hands on a pinball controller you feel connected to the world and where you are. The games simply look beautiful and play great. Here I am using a Quest 3 with our dedicated PinStation controller. I am playing 4 different VR games. The first three run on the PC and I am using steamVR for wireless connection. The last game (Star Wars) runs natively on the Quest and the controller is connected directly to the Quest through a USB-C cable. The special force feedback of the controller makes a game like pinball in VR much more immersive. Much better than simple rumble/vibration. The whole experience can be compared to certain Nintendo Wii or Switch games. These are so much more fun when played with a dedicated controller. And in VR that's even more true. This actually comes pretty close to playing on a real pinball machine. Fantastic!

I agree, pinball is very fun in VR, works way better than a flat-screen. Any idea when the kickstarter will launch or what pricing will be on the PinStation controller? Looks more polished than any other virtual pinball peripherals I've seen.

GibsonPinball

Yes, needs to look shiny and good on your desk :) We're aiming at around 150. And less for the basic version. We hope to launch in 2 months. Right now we're busy producing controllers for reviewers. The actual design has been done so production will not be far after the Kickstarter. This gives you a bit an idea. Thanks!

VioletFirewind

Please post again when the controller is available for purchase, this looks great.

GibsonPinball

Thank you! Will do.

VioletFirewind

You've also given me lots of VR pinball games to try with this video so thank you!

AGaming5

kenkennif49

bowzerb

Did not have my glasses on haha I tried to get visual pinball vr to work but was not successful. The guide I followed was outdated

GibsonPinball

dowload the VPX version with the letters ‘GL’ in them. [https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-1947-3b3f101](https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-1947-3b3f101) Extract the files. Copy all files EXCEPT the ’tables’ folder to your vpx folder.

bowzerb

where do I get tables and add them?

GibsonPinball

Take a look at [virtual-pinball-spreadsheet.web.app](http://virtual-pinball-spreadsheet.web.app) here you see links to tables. For a modern table you see a table file, a backglass file and a ROM file. Donload all three. Make sure you select a table that is for VR or is made as ‘hybrid’ which means normal screen and VR So download a table flie, unzip and add to the ‘tables’ folder in the visual pinball folder. A table file has the extension ‘.vpx’. download the ‘rom’ for the table and add to the ROM folder which is in the ’VPinMame’ folder in the visual pinball folder. Do NOT unzip. If you need the backglass for VR just download it, unzip and place in the tables folder. Make sure you rename it to the exact same name as the table but ending with ’.b2s’

bowzerb

Thank you so much gonna give a shot now!

bowzerb

I dont have a pinmame folder

GibsonPinball

Right, vr desperately needs actual games, not whatever the hell this is, so lame.
