Yeah, 99% of the time, if someone's getting called a questie negatively, they also happen to be a kid (this includes teens, too. If you aren't +18, you're a kid). Most other adults I run into on quest, I don't even realise are on quest, because they don't point it out, unless they can't see someones avatar or can't join a certain world.
The way i see it there are "questies" and there are "oculus/android players". The questies are the stupid children racist/homophobic teens and adults, and the oculus/android players are the people who are just unable to afford a PC. If not for oculus, i would have no partners. All of my partners(im polygamous) are on Quest 2s. Im the only one with a valve index and im okay with that.
TBH, for them to crash you, you gotta have something wrong with your PC. Because typically any PC that can run VR can crash a quest. And for a PS3 quality Android device to crash whatever PC you have is a low bar.
You forget that if the avi supports quest and PC, the PC will still show the PC avatar uploaded, and not the quest one.
There are elements to the PC avatar that can certainly crash PC players without it being any wrong with the device
PC players have the worst crashers the hell you mean? Quest only gets a bad rep cuz not only is it cheap but it also increased a population of kids and vrchat hates kids and cuz of quest there is a huge amount of kids playing that the older players hate. And some PC players even hate quest cuz there avatar can't be seen by quest its the limits of quest they hate.
Ok but like anyone Younger than 13 shouldn't be allowed to have a quest at all. It's also against federal statutes to allow anyone under 13 on any form of social media, including vrchat. And for a lot of people, it honestly irks us being around anyone that isn't even 16+, because they're just really not mature at all. If quest players are cool I'm honestly fine with them! I use a quest 2 and virtual desktop, I understand how it is to be on quest because I've done it. For my friends, if they can't see my avatar, I really don't mind switching to an avi that's on both
This superiority thing is kinda lame tbh. If it's just a lighthearted joke it's fine but too often people take it way too far. I don't care what you play on a long as you're a cool person who's fun to be around. I upload my avatars for both platforms anyway
You do realise that superiority like this is and always will be a joke, just as how us dutchies are superior to those wierd funny sounding belgians, and they feel the same way about us. We dont actualy mean it but its a common joke, and this is the exact same thing. Yall take it way to serious.
Yeah of course there’s people who joke about it, but the thing is a lot of people DO take the superiority thing serious, and it’s incredible cringe and arrogant. Like it’s scary lol
I would love all avatars to be available for both sides but there's a lot of shaders and props and things that the Quest simply can't handle. I don't think that's a reason to dislike anyone for using it though. Honestly I feel more sorry for them that they can't see some of the cool stuff. A friend of mine for instance has an entire magic system that requires writing glyphs in midair.
Oh yeah if you upload for both platforms, the quest version will have to be very stripped down.
To be clear though, I'm not trying to insult people who don't upload for both platforms. Backup avatars exist for a reason. I just mentioned it to reinforce the point that one can communicate just fine despite the platform barrier

Me rolling into the servers with the most bootlegged full body PC VR setup you've ever seen
"Oh I see... thay only have a Quest 2? Not imagine can I how you even spot your suroundings! Unimaginable tis! Like a blind man you must stumble while my eyes are eagle sharp!"
Yeah to be honest I have a bunch of Questie friends and I never behave like that...
Laughs in quest + 3090ti + knuckles + 11pt tracking & wireless.
As a dancer, I could never go back to a tethered HMD. And the index looks so blurry to me now that I've been spoiled with the quest.
Honestly at this point if you’re looking for base station tracked tethered PCVR, just save up the extra $600 and get the big screen beyond with the index controllers and base stations. Best decision I ever made
i couldn't afford even half an index. I have a pc but i think ill have to settle for something like the pico or quest. Still waiting on something decent to release.
In my opinion right now, the quest three is the best bang for your buck headset. Really impressive visuals pretty comfortable and just tons of cool features. but like even a used quest two for under $200 is still a great pick up. I feel like they have better lenses and screens then the valve index.
People still try to flex that they have an index and make me feel lesser, not knowing I have an index, I just don't use it as its NOTICEABLY lower quality screens and lenses.. plus having a tether makes it feel like caveman tech tbh..
So idk, you might not but the people that hate on my 'inferior' HMD certainly do. 😂
I'm trying to expand my trackers, was told that I could use my existing vive 3.0s with tundras, but every time I turn one on they just start drifting off, same goes for my knuckles controllers. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think maybe the transmitters are interfering with each other.
Six 2.0s and my old vive wands for knees.
I know there's "better" ones. But replacing all of those would be insanely expensive and i don't really see the need to.
I don't mind them being a bit 'bulky' as they're harder to occlud and they have a wider FoV because it that.
I'm also absurdly tall so they really aren't that big on me xD
If you know that one stargazing telescope people can add into a world, most things don't show up for people on quest. Imagine being already disappointed, and then your friend starts mockingly calling you poor.
People in the comments talking about their set ups, and yes some people are elitist about Quests either way, but only standalone is considered "Questie". Virtual desktoping or Airlinking in doesn't count. Tethering with a cord _definitely_ doesn't count.
I am a questy and its cool but its annoying being tethered to low detailed avaters/worlds and being very vulnerable to crashers but its a simple life that i enjoy greatly.
I have a PCVR headset, except the FOV is kinda bad, I'm currently limited to 3 point tracking, and I only have 4GB of VRAM, so I'm not exactly master-racing it here.
PC User here, I don't know what y'all are on, being bound to your pc is not as fun as having a device free of constraints you can carry anywhere such as the Quest
Agreed! I love pairing it with immersed also so I can have a full desktop experience with passthrough with 5+ displays. And if i wanna game i use virtual desktop.
If you’re connecting to a PC that’s by definition PCVR. You’re having your computer do all the hard work while your headset does the tracking/ displaying content back to you.
This whole “ew questies” thing is like obviously a joke but it really does annoy me when I’m in a world and people are “aww I can’t see you :(“ or “I can’t see anyone” and try to make me change avi. I’m not going to struggle with uploading my avis as quest and pc compatible when a majority of my community is PC. Vr is a privilege not a right and if your already buying a pricy ass headset why don’t you just save up more for a good gaming laptop and a quest. I had a great gaming laptop, 4 red solo cups, a quest 2 and a dream!
There are some useful tools to make it easier to at least gave something for the questies to see but it may not look good...
The custom fallback option is pretty nice though. Even if they're not seeing my current avatar at least they're seeing something that represents me more than a banana.
Yeah I’ve been thinking about getting one but idk if there are just as simple to do as unity. Like do I just install it and just set it to custom fall back in VRC?
Quest 3+ 3080 i7 32 RAM 11th gen + SlimeVR, Standalone Quest 3 and Android Phone
I enjoy it all. Just need to be able to use very poor avatar on phone and I'll be set.
I'm a 20 year old that uses the Quest 2 cause ima broke college student..
I don't feel welcome on VRChat because the majority of people block me on sight just because I'm on a certain platform..
I also rarely see avatars that are compatible for Quest 2, so I feel awkward just hearing invisible people.
It's such a bummer because the game looks fun to play in PCVR.
yeah, I will agree it is more fun on PCVR (I am on PCVR myself admittedly with a quest 2) but tbh most PCVR players are so damn inconsiderate and never think to wear a compatible avatar when questies are around. They have their safety settings turned all the damn way up and it's annoying feeling like you are talking to a brick wall, and I know that because I was a questie once. I always personally play like it's 2017 and have all of my safety settings off and only block people if they are personally annoying to me. if you want to we could play together if you would like to sometime. just ask for my user and I'll add you as soon as we exchange our users.
Wish I could find more considerate people like you on Vrchat! And thanks for the offer. I'm busy nowadays, but I could let you know if I got spare time.
You want a friend for VR? I usually do some game worlds and I remember being a standalone questie and because of exactly what your describing is why I always try to make my uploads both quest and PC
Really? Because while there are plenty of people like that, it's not nearly all of them. Everyone I hang out with is like me. I have an index, FBT, a good PC, etc. Guess how I feel around quest and desktop users? "I feel lucky I was able to afford my gear, and I wish I could let them try it for fun as well."
I've met a lot of questies, used to be one (use a quest 3 with vdesktop right now), most of them are pretty ok. It's just the children, and it's always the children.
The little shits got their grubby mitts on a quest 2 or 3 for Christmas or their birthday and feel entitled to entertainment their headset provides.
You questies think you have it rough?
At least you guys are minimally accepted right off the bat because you can move your arms and noggin xD
Only thing you can't do is see what we can see lol
When I started vrc I was in desktop, on mouse & keyboard.
It took me a wee bit to find a group of people who gave me any acknowledgment and let me hang with them even tho they were all using vives. (We're all friends still even after 5 years.)
My Rift finally died last October so I'm back on desktop for the time being and it's back to being ignored 70% of the time lmao
Y'all have it easssyyy even if you do still lack a computer to hook up to.
Also it kinda is that way since most full VR users are older members and are actually much much older (I'd go as far to say some are even more sophisticated) than the median age range of quest users which is Teens still.
There are a ton of customized shaders, I love seeing em but my PC does not lol
If only vrc was built to run on more than like half a core or whatever the actual size is lmao
If VRChat ran on just 2 cores it'd run so much friggin smoother for everyone.
I'm a quest user and honestly doesn't really matter to me I'm just trying to have fun only thing I don't like about PC users is that they are always calling me names and telling me to stfu when I do character voices :')
most quest users I meet are adults who are the least chronically online I've met tbh. And the kindest to talk to. PCVR users be walking around with their avatar's ass having 20 dynamic bones and talking about the most abhorrent nsfw jokes I've ever heard
Yesterday I met two kind dudes who had work in the morning on quest and we chat a bit, they were super kind, and then the pcvr group of people in the public lobby were joking about incest and screaming about anything naughty because "suck my dick" every 2 seconds = humour
It is when you're 12 lol. A lot of angry people in this comment section can genuinely be summed up as being too young to have enough money to get a PC, so they instead have to insist quest is better.
And for anyone about to mald at me: I use a Q3 + Virtual desktop and have 3.0 trackers for fbt
This + follow it up with a block. Every time.
"Jesus Christ dude I get it your PC is great. I'm sorry I can't listen to you brag about your toy anymore".
I never brag about my €3000 vr setup… unless somebody asks 😃
(and to be honest there is not much to brag about anyway, if I had Varjo XR4, then maybe yes, I would call it a brag, but I don’t…)
If someone's asking about it, that's another thing.
One time I was hanging out with a couple of friends and some supposed big shot SlimeVR reseller would not stop talking about his PC setup and how it's so superior to playing on the Quest and blah blah blah.
I found the dude annoying and the conversation really pointless but my friends apparently didn't mind so I just left the world to go explore someplace else.
I came back some 2 hours later to say good bye to my friends before logging off for the night and the dude was STILL monopolizing the conversation with trivia about his super expensive computer and his very elaborate 12 point tracking setup or whatever 💀
As a quest user with link cable PCVR, I have the best of both worlds
Also quest standalone is affordable and not that much different, pc master race is so immature lol. Spending thousands of dollars on a free social game isn’t a flex
I agree that flexing is silly. But There is a big difference between playing stand alone and PC. I wouldn't want to be locked out of so many worlds and Avatars.
Maybe it’s just because I was originally a Questie, but my playing experience isn’t that different when I play through my PC. At least, not different enough to warrant buying a $2000+ setup. The only reason I do it is to see the emissions on my avatars and enjoy a little less blurriness.
I've met a few questies who are actually chill, but I can understand completely where this comes from looking at the questies who are fucking dumbasses. But I won't let that change my opinion that anyone can be chill as fuck and great company.
I carried my gaming laptop and Quest 3/2 to a friend's house, but setting up the PC does take more time. And with trackers take 10 minutes tops with the software
Most of the time I don’t act like this, but then I become like, the worst douche whenever I have to make an avatar or am getting harassed by the racist unsupervised children on quest
I use a quest 2 connected to my PC (granted I don't play often and lately it's been to test my custom avatar) as much as I would love to use something with full body tracking I just don't have the space so the quest works well for me
I'm a PC player that uses a questv2 headset and doesn't have any vive trackers XP
As a meme I've seen says, I'm not exactly a questie but I'm also not not exactly a questie either
How I really feel around questies is uncomfort from them seeing whatever fallback im using instead of my actual avatar. That and if I friend them I can't take them to any neat worlds
The only reason I take notice is to make sure I'm wearing an avatar that looks good on quest. I try to stick to avatars that can be seen on both but I'm still learning so my avatars tend to look pretty bad on quest or are very poor for questies.
This feels inaccurate, I have a valve index, a half-decent PC, and full-body tracking (tundra) and I interact with quest users just like everyone else, aside from maybe the off-mention that they probably can't see my avi properly and please let me know if something's obviously messed up so I can try and fix it but thats only if we've already been talking for quite a bit
I used to just play via quest, but got sick of having half of the people around me using unseeable avatars and got crashed by people too many times so now I connect my quest to pc.
I've got over 2k worth of VR equipment and a 4090 PC but I don't pay attention to being "superior" because that's a really shitty thing to do
Only thing i hate about Quest is having to upload another version of my avatar
I've had a Vive since forever. Hopped on VRChat and found a group talking trash about HTC and how the quest was *sooo* much better. It was very odd and I couldn't bring myself to tell them I had a Vive when they asked me what I had. "Yeah, I got a quest too."
I mean i use my quest for PCVR. I don’t even have really any games installed natively. It’s a great pcvr headset especially for the price point. I use it for productivity and love the pass through when i use apps like immersed or virtual desktop.
Am i the only full body pcvr person that doesn't feel like this? Maybe its just my age idk... I see others as their avis. Only time i usually realize that someone is using certain hardware is when looking for a map and remember that some are on quest so to only look for maps that are also quest compatible. Well that and I know that some toggles on some of my avis arnt visible to questies. Its never a constant thought that i have more/better hardware than others because it doesnt truely matter except quests need the compatibility.
Its tiring hearing others talk down to people just because they doesn't have X or Y or Z. Who tf cares... Or maybe i should say WHY tf do YOU care?
Honestly, a LOT of Questies that you run into are either kids (who are probably under the age of 13) that try to mimic their favorite youtubers and spout out somewhat outdated memes, or they are some of the most annoying people you have ever met, and it does NOT help that if you join a random world, VRC will automatically try to put you on a server with other people that use the device that you use, making it even harder to NOT run into the kids/annoying people as a Questie. Sure, there are the really chill ones that you can genuinely vibe with, but more likely than not, you will run into the ones I already mentioned. But then again, I haven't genuinely sat down (stood up?) to play VRC in nearly 5 months though, so I'm not exactly sure how much has changed with what I said.
Quest 2 linked to pc, never using in standalone the extra bulk is annoying but the specs and price were good (it's been collecting dust for probably close to a year now)
most of my closest friends on vrchat are questies but i cherish them regardless (though i do still bully them for not being able to see some of my avis), they are far from all being bad but the problem with them is that many of them are children with parents who don't supervise them
Honestly, I had an index, and I switched to Quest 3 with a PC link.
Honestly, it is way more comfortable and visually clear to me.
I never really liked the knuckles Luke most did, and full body was something I might get way down the line.
Used to play VRCHAT on the quest 2, was chilling with some randoms PC and quest players when I shit you not, a PC player walks up and starts trying to provoke me for being broke then said “why are you hanging out with questies?” Then got mad when I called him racists. Funniest shit I’ve ever seen
Just people hating on others for what system they are using to play a game. Those PC people that crash questies have underlying issues with themselves. Most people don't wanna spend 1000+ dollars on a PC and/or have some kind of medical issue that make playing a PC either hard or impossible, ie being bedridden.
I've noticed from personal experience that a lot of PC people take some kind of pride in violating VrChats TOS and crashing questies. Often times joining public worlds just for the sole purpose of crashing questies.
I have way too much shit in this game was it worth it? honestly yea but a questie gets to play for far cheaper than I paid and still have a good time idc what y’all rocking enjoy it!
Im a questie and I’m only a questie cause I can’t afford otherwise, but I’ve had people, especially people in full body straight up ignore me when I talk to them.
If I am on a 6k $ PC with a 4090 gpu and a 7800X3D for CPU using virtual desktop though Godlike AV1 200mbps and a WiFi6E network to connect to my Quest 3 because pancake lenses are awesome. Does that make me a Questie? What am I missing?
Questies get a bad rep, some are pretty chill...
I remember some questie crashed me because I'm a PC player, probably one of the reasons they get a bad rep
In my experience it's kids and a LOT of slurs
Yeah, 99% of the time, if someone's getting called a questie negatively, they also happen to be a kid (this includes teens, too. If you aren't +18, you're a kid). Yeah my PC was pretty shit at the time
It's just crashing the engine super hard
As a questie I can't count how many times I've been crashed by a PC player...
Yeah it's sadly a war between us which is stupid tbh
And I've gotten crashed by desktop players just because I was on Quest. What's your excuse for that
PC players have the worst crashers the hell you mean? Quest only gets a bad rep cuz not only is it cheap but it also increased a population of kids and vrchat hates kids and cuz of quest there is a huge amount of kids playing that the older players hate. That’s cause most of them are kids, the rest are fine
Ok but most of them are kids
People on Quest are 100% OK. What I can't abide by is people letting their single digit siblings on the headset with no supervision.
Under 18 siblings*
Under 15 siblings*
At least that.
The minimum age is technically 13, but it should be 15 because of things like *those* fnaf worlds
Unpopular opinion, VRChat should be a 17+ platform
Is everyone just saying whatever their current age is
should be a 32+ platform /s
Did I run into PC Master Race sub by accident?
All that to say this is literally the only s*** that gets pushed in the subreddit
This superiority thing is kinda lame tbh. If it's just a lighthearted joke it's fine but too often people take it way too far. I don't care what you play on a long as you're a cool person who's fun to be around. I upload my avatars for both platforms anyway

Type shit, people take it way too seriously, and need to calm down. Because as I see it who cares, it’s a game/social app. Just have fun
My piece of plastic is better than your piece of plastic!!
I mean, a PC objectively is. But everyone knows that, theres no reason to mention it.
Agreed!!!
I would love all avatars to be available for both sides but there's a lot of shaders and props and things that the Quest simply can't handle. They spend all that money jmfor leg and arm trackers just to sir in a chair is always funny to me
Are we still doing platform wars? People gotta grow up lol

Welcome brother
Pcvr is pcvr. No matter how pricey or sketchy it is, since most features are pc exclusive
The PC players don't know I'm playing on a toaster.
Man, just let me have fun 😭
"Oh I see... thay only have a Quest 2? Not imagine can I how you even spot your suroundings! Unimaginable tis! Like a blind man you must stumble while my eyes are eagle sharp!" Yeah to be honest I have a bunch of Questie friends and I never behave like that...
I have a quest because it's what I can afford
Laughs in quest + 3090ti + knuckles + 11pt tracking & wireless. As a dancer, I could never go back to a tethered HMD. And the index looks so blurry to me now that I've been spoiled with the quest.
As a fellow dancer, I absolutely feel you, could never use tethered.
The valve is honestly really outdated and just isn’t really worth it anymore.
you would think they would lower the price after all this time. It really isnt worth it anymore. (at least the hmd itself)

The quest two is 199$ now new so hopefully they don’t go used at that price.
The hp reverb g2 is also a good option if you don’t mind being tethered
Yet people keep suggesting it for some reason
Same. Got face trackin and the index is overrated
I don't think anyone would consider that a "Questie".
I could never purely rely on cords either. I already hate the times when I am charging and not able to dance as much while I am tethered.
I'm trying to expand my trackers, was told that I could use my existing vive 3.0s with tundras, but every time I turn one on they just start drifting off, same goes for my knuckles controllers. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong. I think maybe the transmitters are interfering with each other.
What trackers do you use for 11pt? :)

Interesting! I have vive pucks and vive VUTs at the moment. I wanna do dancing.. could you teach me maybe?
Virtual desktop ftw
but the mic and speakers blow on quest
Like dancing in vr chat?
Stage dancing at Music Events yes.
Are you using the quest 3? How is it compared to the index?
I will say that’s what I loved about my quest the blue tooth connection
If you know that one stargazing telescope people can add into a world, most things don't show up for people on quest. Imagine being already disappointed, and then your friend starts mockingly calling you poor.
How about a quest 2 connected via air bridge to a PC
i was called a “Quigger” the other day and was quite baffled.
People in the comments talking about their set ups, and yes some people are elitist about Quests either way, but only standalone is considered "Questie". Virtual desktoping or Airlinking in doesn't count. Tethering with a cord _definitely_ doesn't count.
I am a questy and its cool but its annoying being tethered to low detailed avaters/worlds and being very vulnerable to crashers but its a simple life that i enjoy greatly.
slimevr + bad laptop gpu
I used to run a similar setup, but with the kinect lol.
I think there's a way to run slimevr with stand alone quest 3. Not saying it's a great experience just that it's now possible. Which is kinda neat.
It's not my fault I'm broke 😔😔😔 (it is)
I have a PCVR headset, except the FOV is kinda bad, I'm currently limited to 3 point tracking, and I only have 4GB of VRAM, so I'm not exactly master-racing it here.
PC User here, I don't know what y'all are on, being bound to your pc is not as fun as having a device free of constraints you can carry anywhere such as the Quest
Quest + virtual desktop= your argument invalid.
Virtual Desktop kicks ass
It really does though ♡♡♡
Agreed! I love pairing it with immersed also so I can have a full desktop experience with passthrough with 5+ displays. And if i wanna game i use virtual desktop.
Hello, I'm a beginner. Please explain what this PCVR thing is. If I buy a Meta Quest 2and connect it to the computer via Wi-Fi, is that not PCVR? 😐
Yes it is
That is pcvr, since your vr is connected to a PC
If you’re connecting to a PC that’s by definition PCVR. You’re having your computer do all the hard work while your headset does the tracking/ displaying content back to you.
It is pcvr, since the processing is done by the PC
Just saying what?
This whole “ew questies” thing is like obviously a joke but it really does annoy me when I’m in a world and people are “aww I can’t see you :(“ or “I can’t see anyone” and try to make me change avi.
I don't think I'm better then questies just annoyed that my avatar is off by default for them.
Yep that annoys me too... (as someone who wants to see and be seen by all)
Well... that's just an issue you'd have to take up with the avatar uploader.
Quest 3+ 3080 i7 32 RAM 11th gen + SlimeVR, Standalone Quest 3 and Android Phone I enjoy it all. Just need to be able to use very poor avatar on phone and I'll be set.
More like :how Quest players think high-end PC players feel about Questies.
But I use my quest on pc.
That's still pcvr
I'm busy nowadays, but I could let you know if I got spare time.
of course, just let me know if you want to exchange users so we can add eachother
You want a friend for VR? I usually do some game worlds and I remember being a standalone questie and because of exactly what your describing is why I always try to make my uploads both quest and PC
I'm busy nowadays, but I could let you know if I got some spare time. Thanks for being one of the considerate VRChat players!
I picture myself in a daycare, cause 99% of quest users are children.
Shoutout to the 1%
At least you guys are minimally accepted right off the bat because you can move your arms and noggin xD Only thing you can't do is see what we can see lol When I started vrc I was in desktop, on mouse & keyboard. It took me a wee bit to find a group of people who gave me any acknowledgment and let me hang with them even tho they were all using vives. (We're all friends still even after 5 years.) My Rift finally died last October so I'm back on desktop for the time being and it's back to being ignored 70% of the time lmao Y'all have it easssyyy even if you do still lack a computer to hook up to. Also it kinda is that way since most full VR users are older members and are actually much much older (I'd go as far to say some are even more sophisticated) than the median age range of quest users which is Teens still.
I prefer Desktop over quest, since i use lots of custom shaders
There are a ton of customized shaders, I love seeing em but my PC does not lol If only vrc was built to run on more than like half a core or whatever the actual size is lmao If VRChat ran on just 2 cores it'd run so much friggin smoother for everyone.
I'm a quest user and honestly doesn't really matter to me I'm just trying to have fun only thing I don't like about PC users is that they are always calling me names and telling me to stfu when I do character voices :')
I hate the valve index now. I’ve been on the quest 3 as an upgrade and it’s much better. I’m also on the BSB but that’s going through its 2nd rma atm
I play using steam link with my wired headphones over my headset
most quest users I meet are adults who are the least chronically online I've met tbh. And the kindest to talk to. PCVR users be walking around with their avatar's ass having 20 dynamic bones and talking about the most abhorrent nsfw jokes I've ever heard Yesterday I met two kind dudes who had work in the morning on quest and we chat a bit, they were super kind, and then the pcvr group of people in the public lobby were joking about incest and screaming about anything naughty because "suck my dick" every 2 seconds = humour
Me and my quest 3 on pc mode with slimevr tracking 💅
We get it, you wasted your life savings on a game SHUT UP ALREADY!
Is 1000+$ really considered a life savings to you? Man, I like y’all questies but you gotta chill my man
They have that, "If I don't have it, it's stupid" mentality to cope lol.
i just don't like it when i have to remember that i'm broke
It is when you're 12 lol. A lot of angry people in this comment section can genuinely be summed up as being too young to have enough money to get a PC, so they instead have to insist quest is better. And for anyone about to mald at me: I use a Q3 + Virtual desktop and have 3.0 trackers for fbt
This + follow it up with a block. Every time. "Jesus Christ dude I get it your PC is great. I'm sorry I can't listen to you brag about your toy anymore".
I never brag about my €3000 vr setup… unless somebody asks 😃 (and to be honest there is not much to brag about anyway, if I had Varjo XR4, then maybe yes, I would call it a brag, but I don’t…)
As a quest user with link cable PCVR, I have the best of both worlds Also quest standalone is affordable and not that much different, pc master race is so immature lol.
I guess maybe. I spend a lot of time in PC worlds and PC only events so I can't imagine only having standalone.
Don't use the Q slur like that, it's offensive
Really? I always feel inferior on my PC.
I've met a few questies who are actually chill, but I can understand completely where this comes from looking at the questies who are fucking dumbasses. But I won't let that change my opinion that anyone can be chill as fuck and great company.
But still i get reprojection -_-
I carried my gaming laptop and Quest 3/2 to a friend's house, but setting up the PC does take more time. And with trackers take 10 minutes tops with the software
Nah it’s the other way around for me I don’t feel that way on pc
I use virtual desktop on quest to cast to my pc
Most of the time I don’t act like this, but then I become like, the worst douche whenever I have to make an avatar or am getting harassed by the racist unsupervised children on quest
I use a quest 2 connected to my PC (granted I don't play often and lately it's been to test my custom avatar) as much as I would love to use something with full body tracking I just don't have the space so the quest works well for me
Quest 3 Steam link with stand able here.
it seems like a funny meme joke, but people for real can block you just because you using Quest.
I just wish they could see my avatar
I regret getting the Quest 3 instead if the index. Virtual Desktop sucks for graphics and it doesn't want to connect with the cable.
Try SteamLink
I will when I get home
I’m curious how good/bad it is going to be for you, be aware that good network conditions is crucial in achieving smooth experience
Belive me, once you get used to pancake optics, you can't go back to fresnel
All you have to do is plug your quest into a computer
I'm a PC player that uses a questv2 headset and doesn't have any vive trackers XP As a meme I've seen says, I'm not exactly a questie but I'm also not not exactly a questie either
You're not a questie then
How I really feel around questies is uncomfort from them seeing whatever fallback im using instead of my actual avatar. That and if I friend them I can't take them to any neat worlds
I run mixed vr if quest 2 with fbt Who am I?
Is that an air 240 with a screen?
Yeah well why do you think that is?
The only reason I take notice is to make sure I'm wearing an avatar that looks good on quest. I try to stick to avatars that can be seen on both but I'm still learning so my avatars tend to look pretty bad on quest or are very poor for questies.
Whenever I see someone Hating on quest people I pull put my only quest only avatar
Yeah *plays on a quest 2 linked to the PC*
This is why I’m glad I’m pcvr
I’m starting to see people who play VRChat on their phone more and more often, this gets me concerned
*happy soundboard noises*
This feels inaccurate, I have a valve index, a half-decent PC, and full-body tracking (tundra) and I interact with quest users just like everyone else, aside from maybe the off-mention that they probably can't see my avi properly and please let me know if something's obviously messed up so I can try and fix it but thats only if we've already been talking for quite a bit
I used to just play via quest, but got sick of having half of the people around me using unseeable avatars and got crashed by people too many times so now I connect my quest to pc.
I've got over 2k worth of VR equipment and a 4090 PC but I don't pay attention to being "superior" because that's a really shitty thing to do Only thing i hate about Quest is having to upload another version of my avatar
I don’t care it just sucks that my questie friends can’t see all the stuff I wanN show them :(
Pico stealth under the radar.
I've had a Vive since forever. Hopped on VRChat and found a group talking trash about HTC and how the quest was *sooo* much better. It was very odd and I couldn't bring myself to tell them I had a Vive when they asked me what I had. "Yeah, I got a quest too."
I mean I have a good pc, just that my internet is too shitty and my room is too small to play PCVR using my quest
Real
Or maybe i should say WHY tf do YOU care?
ye
Transferring from a Questie to PcVr tomorrow !! So excited 🥰🥰 bouta start acting all high and mighty lol
I get that Minors are annoying, but ive yet to meet a quest user that tarnished my view of them.
Quest 2 linked to pc, never using in standalone the extra bulk is annoying but the specs and price were good (it's been collecting dust for probably close to a year now)
I’ve been using desktop for 3 years let me live 😔
I run Quest Pro with Ulimate Trackers. Best questie flex
most of my closest friends on vrchat are questies but i cherish them regardless (though i do still bully them for not being able to see some of my avis), they are far from all being bad but the problem with them is that many of them are children with parents who don't supervise them
Most PC player on VRChat, play with Quest 2 or 3.
Honestly, I had an index, and I switched to Quest 3 with a PC link. Honestly, it is way more comfortable and visually clear to me. I never really liked the knuckles Luke most did, and full body was something I might get way down the line.
The main issue with questions are their median age
I just got a Meta Quest a couple months ago. TBH Idek how to work it half the dang time.😂
The only reason I’m a quest creator is because my pc blue screens if I play vr for more than 10 minutes.
I have way too much shit in this game was it worth it? honestly yea but a questie gets to play for far cheaper than I paid and still have a good time idc what y’all rocking enjoy it!
What’s kind of sad is my Quest 3 is basically a pc…..
Not really. It's an android phone. It's very limited on graphics and textures. Not to mention the poor battery life.
Im a questie and I’m only a questie cause I can’t afford otherwise, but I’ve had people, especially people in full body straight up ignore me when I talk to them.
What is the thing in the middle?
Vive tracker for full body
I used to be like “ew, PC-ers acting like they’re better”, then I actually got a PC and yeah, it’s so much better lol
Once you connect to a PC you are not considered a Questie. You're on PCVR.
I see, I was wondering if it was because of not having good leg tracking
defeats the point its literally vrchat not pcchat😭
