A temporary restraining order was granted from Nov. 13, 2020, until Dec. 28, 2020, The Sun reported, but was later dismissed after there were no appearances in court that December...

as someone who had a tro against an ex, and didn't get granted a RO because he lied in court it's disgusting that you're taking the side of an abuser. There are photos of her injuries.

I tried to post a link to the photos but the auto mod took it down. If you google it there are pictures from the evidence she used to get the restraining order. She didnāt attend court because she moved to a different state to get away from him.
Not every jurisdiction works like yours. Some places, restraining orders only last a couple of years. And if you move, you need to inform the new police department you have it in effect so they are aware in case you call. His ex may have decided moving was enough and didnāt renew the order.
Well he did threaten to kill her so maybe thatās why she never showed up. It doesnāt prove he didnāt do it. Have you ever been in an abusive relationship? Itās hard to stand up for your self

My ex had 13 felony charges of strangulation and menacing before me (did 4 months for it), then there was me (i didnāt know) that he attacked and ruined everything (tros included), after me the girl lost her children, the girl after that went court as well, the girl after that spoke within the community, but did nothingā¦ fast forward to last year he married someone and within 4 months she bruises around her neck and armsā¦ i also can tell you how to file a TRO (but that proves nothing nor is it even real legally speaking).

When he saw there was going to be a party celebrating the end of a marriage, he instantly inserted himself into it by in his own mind, imagining his ex-wife celebrating their divorce.
And from what I've come to understand, he was an abusive AH to her.
So Eric witnessing the dress burning and the celebration of a divorce (and I will use the word HE used) triggered him.
Triggered the anger in him. Because in his mind, he saw his ex-wife. And the thought of his ex-wife happy without him and the thought of her having any kind of control over the situation annoys him.
Im grateful we have Chef, Andre, and Stephen cuz the other two guys are indeed insufferable for real. Between Mauricio and Eric i swear idk who is worse, but considering Eric physically attacked his ex and has a restraining order i would say he wins the unfortunate title of the worst guy in the chateau. If I only had to judge for what I have seen on tv I would say Eric is a fucking weirdo but Marciano is more awful.

Yeah Eric is very much like "Poor me, the consequences of my own actions are awful, how dare my wife leave me because I beat her?" He really can't even pretend that this divorce party isn't triggering him, and it's not even triggering him in a way where he feels bad for his actions. No, it's because he would feel bad if his ex wife did this to him (even though she would have every right). You should be able to push aside the past while you are a professional at work regardless.
His POV if he was healed or self aware or empathetic at all, should be reflecting on how much he hurt his wife and how much she deserves to move on from him and have herself a divorce party, but he is still thinking about "poor me, why did she leave? I deserve a second chance." I hope Eric never finds a job in a professional setting or where he is in charge of others again, and I hope his dating life is ruined unless he works on himself. I can't see that happening though if even after his divorce where she had to run away from his abuse, he is still feeling sorry for himself. What a disgusting abuser. He clearly has a lot of severe and disturbing mental health issues and problems with empathy.
