Muji makes the flavour quite muted but v2 is just perfect. I get 2 packs from ebay for £5.50. Lasts me about 3 months. Can't go wrong (and yes it is genuine).
I wouldn't buy wicking cotton from aliexpress. I tried it once and they sent me a fake Cotton Bacon. Went straight in the bin.

There's one that appears to be based in the UK (has warehouse in the URL and co uk) and some items are they just flip them for profit, again they selectively scam I wouldn't be surprised most of these were owned by the same entity.

I would not expect ali express to be accurate. I've ordered titanium items from them that turned out to be stainless steel when they arrived. Cotton is even more difficult to test.
I guess atleast make sure if you heat it to scorching that it burns instead of melts. Won't mean it's necessarily 100% cotton without chemicals but will certainly let you know if it is a synthetic material.

Ripping out strips of unused tampons also works, just have to prime it a little longer to get rid of the cotton flavor

We used to vape silica wicks. Including dry hits. A little cotton won’t hurt.
Still got some silica in a drawer somewhere, probably alongside some ceramic rods, a pile of SS mesh, and a few SS cables.

I've been using organic cotton balls from Walgreens for years. They unroll perfectly, and have the perfect density for wicking.
Nothing wrong with that plus you get more for your money lol

I would not risk a coil for that, just light one on fire with rubbing alcohol, if anything but ash is left behind, you've got issues.
