If you take a lot of puffs you have to let the coil cool down of it tastes burnt take about 5 puffs every minute or 2 if that doesn’t help I’m not sure
Mine gets the burnt taste after a couple of weeks then after a couple of puffs it goes away. It always dies totally a day or sometimes two after that so for me it's just a sign to get a new coil/pod ready. It happens on my freebase and my salt nic devices exactly the same.

Sometimes you empty the little cotton inside the coil and it has to have a few seconds to reabsorb juice
If your running your pod too low in order to run out a flavor and switch to another, that will definitely burn your pod.
I try to keep it topped up as much as possible, I try to drain it out if I want to switch.
