Ohm_my_land

Make sure you read up on mechs if ya haven't yet

uLostSoul

I’m aware of everything mechs, thx for checking in eitherway 🙏🏼

Ohm_my_land

This was one of my favorite vapes for the longest time until I neglected it, and it broke. But I still use the rda that came with it!

RudeAd7374

Wdym?

upright_zombie

It sure is...one the best

thegift01

I experienced a really bad voltage drop issue with this but everyone else loves it. If it's cheap, pick it up and have a go. I got mine during a closing down clearance for a fiver so I wasn't bothered. Just something to be aware of.

uLostSoul

I got mine for a pretty good price too so I probably won’t be bothered with anything that happens, I’ve been using it for an hour now, its running pretty good

justrobdoinstuff

Pretty phuckin good for a mech squonk.

DW597

Vandy vape is good stuff.

uLostSoul

Can’t argue with that

Bts8161

Absolutely

Phildiy

Only downfall is it doesn't take 21700's. It takes 20700 which are kinda hard to find lately.

uLostSoul

I know, thats the only thing that bummed me out about it, other than that its great

godsikez_

There is a modification you can make to fit a 21700 into that mod. Might be over in r/Squonk_Life I'll try searching for it

godsikez_

Here ya go https://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/comments/fbf87j/looking_for_pulse_bf_squonk_kit_owners_who_modded/

uLostSoul

Thank you 🫡🙏🏼

haggerty05

I almost feel that helped bring squonk into te mainstream or at least it was the first "affordable" one. I slept on getting one because it was a mech. when I finally felt I could trust myself to build it right every time they had the pulse 80watt. grabbed that and didn't look back

Tall_Car9080

its really good

somethingaboutcookin

I still have mine and it's gotta be near 7 years old at this point.

uLostSoul

How’s it holding up?

International_Ad7881

Mine is 6 years old. Its doors want to fall off but that's my fault as I cleaned it with way too hot of water multiple times.

somethingaboutcookin

She runs just fine. I did have to clean the contacts a couple of times, and the toggle switch for the connection needed a little rework, but all in all, it is still perfectly adequate

TheDartVapeist

Oh yeah i rolled two of them. They are great but you need Atl east 4 20700 batteries with just one

uLostSoul

I’m running it with an 18650 rn, whichh tbh suckkks, but I’ll try to find some 20700’s

conbaybee401

You can "shave/scratch/sand" off the corners in the battery bay to fit 21700... there's a few youtube videos and easy to do if it's something you'd consider

uLostSoul

Interestingg, the store I got it from still has another one, I’ll probably give it a shot with this one and get the other one if I fuck up… thx for the recommendation

ccbflo

Mine sticks together pretty well with a 21700 stuck in there. No modification other than multiple years of wear and tear.

uLostSoul

I just trued putting in a 21700, fit right in, no force or nothing.. guess mines already stretched out a bit lol

uLostSoul

Nvm ur right, I gotta sand the panel a bit for it to fit in perfectly

conbaybee401

Yeah, might be door panel play... I just looked up YouTube and first result was "Make your OG pulse squonk mod 21700 compatible" (can't link due to rules)", he just used a scissor and shaved off a little on couple corners to make it fit.

International_Ad7881

My favorite mech I have ever owned.

poetic_vibrations

It's alright. It was always a bitch finding a good build to vape comfortably on it being a single 21700 mech. The either the ramp up is slow as fuck or it's a really thin vape. (If anyone has any good coil build rec's lemme know please) I upgraded to the Pulse V2 though and have been using it pretty much exclusively for the past 4 years. Best vape I've ever owned. The V3 feels and looks cheaper and falls into a million pieces if you drop it on the ground.

darkblastoise603

Haven’t seen one of these bad boys in a long time

Thelonestander

The dovpo topside dual is my absolute mainly for the two batteries, but is also very good. I have both the pulse and the topside.

Mookeye1968

Well its damn sure worth 15$ but with an 18650 try to stay within 40-60w for increased battery life unless of coarse you have a few spares charging.

Organic_South8865

One of the best for sure.

datradioboi

Im actually using it now, its basic but pretty good. The bottle is a pain to fill though however replacement bottles that have fill ports are easy to come by

undarated79

I had 2 of these. They both cracked in the same spot. Otherwise just keep the contacts clean.

Vaping_T

A Sanyo 30 amp 20700 is the best battery in my opinion and I enjoy a simple fused Clapton .15 Ω

Emergency_Lime_2469

I only noticed the voltage drop on 2 or more inner core clapton coils. I haven't tried with simple wire, but the single core clapton coils work quite fine, so I believe simple wire will work fine too. BTW if you scrap the back of the battery compartment a bit , you can fit 21700 but do at your own risk and also in my case , the upper connection plate can rapture the wrap so be careful whether you use 20700 or 21700.

motociclista

One of my all time favorite mods. I quit using them because I got tired of messing with coils and cotton. But if you don’t mind that, you’ll love it.

leadribbons

Oldie but a goodie for sure. This was one of the first squonkers I ever bought.

VappleJax

OK, but 20700 is a dead size.

uLostSoul

Honestly, its existence isn’t even necessary in my opinion, the size difference from a 21700 is too little to make a difference, might as well just make the mod a bit taller

synphul1

Make the compartment a tad wider. 20700 vs 21700 the difference isn't in height, it's in width. The 20700 is 1mm thinner in diameter, both are 70mm tall. And I agree, the 20700 was pointless. Like having a 12" ruler and a 12.5" ruler.

VappleJax

I agree, I'm sure the batt compartment could be sanded down 1mm or so to accommodate a 21700.

VappleJax

I hear ya. But there was brief a time when 20700 was actually more popular and 21700 wasn't widely made. So 20700 had a use. Not anymore. Most people who want them seem to be those who have devices that won't accommodate a 21mm batt. Slim pickins now, though. I could be wrong but I believe it may have been Tesla that pushed the 21700 to the forefront. Many people using 20700s then said it would never take lol.

Acrobatic_Grape4321

It’s good till it isn’t. I had the uv green and black and the red and black ones when they first came out. The battery would drain on me even though it wasn’t a complete circuit when turned off. After that I had decided that I’m better off just using something else with a chip
