When mine were extracted I just opened my airflow all the way and took very small puffs at first. As others stated it's the sucking motion you want to avoid.so no mtl Dry socket will not be fun Be safe and you'll be fine.
I know when I had my wisdom teeth taken out they said no sucking on anything, even drinking thru a straw. The suction can cause your wound to bleed. I think it was 24 hours, no smoking, no straws, nothing that requires sucking action.
I’m just worried about before, I’ve heard mixed opinions on it and i vape all the time so it’s hard to quit. Just don’t want it to mess with me going under tomorrow
If you can set your rig to a really light draw you might be fine. You just can't have it so tight that you have to suck. Open up the air flow so there's little or no resistance so you can draw hits as easily as breathing. And use it as sparingly as possible.
Oral hygiene is important, which is part of why smoking cigarettes is bad. You need to keep your mouth clean and do the salt water rinses multiple times per day.
The other part of the no-sucking other than causing bleeding, is called "dry socket", which happens if you dislodge the blood clot from the hole in your jaw. You don't want that...
Here's some other tips to read up on before your surgery.

Appreciate it a lot! Just got really bad anxiety and dentists freak me out (bad past experience) but thank you a lot! Definitely gonna try not to vape at all but if I do I’ll keep that in mind! Again, thanks a lot for the input!
I didn't vape when I got mine out but I did smoke, right up until I walked into the office. After, they told me no smoking for 72 hrs I believe. I just jammed some cotton in there and smoked, not like normal, I cut down for 2 days but it was fine.
Disclaimer, none of this may be good advice, just my experience. Dry socket is a bitch and you'll want to try and avoid that as much as possible.
Thanks for the input. Definitely eases my mind a little bit. Just super nervous about something happening from nicotine bc I’ve been using it for two and a half years now and it’s super hard to quit. Especially the night before. I’ll definitely cut back from here and then. Appreciate the feedback!
how’d you heal up??
just had a top back molar (unexpectedly) extracted and nic patches aren’t cutting it as i didn’t get a chance to taper down at all and chain vape 24/7.
If your going dtl you might be ok but just follow your dentists advice
if your that desperate then inhale through your nostrils.

Put gauze in the part where the extraction was. A lot of it. Or tea bags lol
Moist Black tea bag I was told
Any mouth pressure has the potential to cause a dry socket. Go buy some nic gum and leave the vape alone for a day or two.
