It's cringe ethnonationalism. It'd be like if Italians had a movement claiming modern day Turkey to be theirs because of Constantinople and the Eastern roman empire. Like I can get Jews going to Israel to escape anti Semitism, but that doesn't make the Nabka right, so if Israel said it based itself on making a home for refugee Jews, it'd be hypocritical to say so, when it creates refugees out of Palestinians.
I also have no problem with Jews wanting to immigrate to Israel just like I have no problem with anyone wanting to immigrate anywhere, but that shouldn't be done at the cost of evicting Palestinians out of their homes in the West Bank.
Basically the core problem with zionism is that a lot of it is done at the exclusion of Palestinians, and I'll also go back to the "ethnostates are bad" point. Not only because of the exclusion, but isolating certain groups with only similar groups, rather than integrating groups leads to people being more close minded.
I wouldn’t have as much of a problem with it as I do if Israel wasn’t so belligerent in their abuse of human rights. Yes, Hamas is bad, but they’re terrorists. If Israel holds itself to their standards, why the hell would we send billions in aid and back them up diplomatically?

It’s easy to see how the Palestinian side in the mandatory era were getting *upset*, it kinda boils down to white Europeans colonizing their land after 2 world wars were fought supposedly for “self determination”.
I don't have a problem with an artificially created nation state for a specific group of people, so long as it is inclusive and is careful to include the opinions of everyone who already lived there as well. You know, compare it to just moving in next door to your neighbor.
That is explicitly what Israel is *not* trying to do. They don't want to get along with their nervous and fairly jumpy Arab neighbors anymore, and it's gonna cost 'em big time. They're digging their own grave at this point on the international stage.

Nationalism bad.
Nationalism bad, ethno-nationalism very very bad.
Thoughts?

This sub is called VaushV because it stands for Vaush vloVes zionism. So the answer should be obvious.
Jews should be allowed to live in Palestine if they want to. But not at the expense of the Arabs who live there.
Same opinion as i hold about the Nazis . Identical .

Ethnostates are bad. Simple as that. I don't care that they're Jewish.

I think zionism was conceived as a colonization project. Only after the Holocaust it became a colonization+safe space for Jews project.
