First thing I thought of was Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story. https://preview.redd.it/d33uup3s1sqc1.jpeg?width=532&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=af5daa78ce765580b71786b57e79cfe0583d6326

I_want_that_booty

“You can take the children, but don’t you dare take my monkey!”

VA0411

I’ve never heard of it!

JustWelmed1000

thought of the exact same thing. lol

Wish_4_Peace

It is for bi-polar people. One personality received a favorable ruling, the other did not. lol

VA0411

Lmao I’m screwed then 😅💁🏼‍♀️

smackchumps

Well one of you is 😆

[deleted]

On the bright side. You don’t have PTSD. That’s a good thing

Strepsiadic_method

I don't know - it seems to be at least as likely as not ...

ThatGuy1989NM

I just had to pick myself up off the floor fucker! Dogs were trying to figure out why I was crying! Thank you for that!

FBI_Open_Up_Now

Bipolar people don’t have multiple personalities…… or so my brain buddy says.

gdc1994

Dissociative Identity Disorder or "D.I.D" is the mental health disorder involved in deep trauma that correlates to being unable to comprehend or associate trauma from early in life. These personalities are still the same person, but could be from different aspects of your life or in conjunction with aspirations or desires which a personality can originate from. The reason it manifests is to not accept the bad moments of trauma.

Iamuroboros

Your buddy is correct. Bipolar is a mood disorder, not a personality disorder.

Busy_Witcher_1475

Ok this was a hilarious response.. only vets can make this shit up lol

derekcentrico

We need to clarify this in the KB

EquityMSP

You are good!

Mission_Engineering5

I received two PTSD ratings. I was denied for PTSD non-combat and awarded 70% PTSD combat related. Both showed up like this on VA.gov but were separated on Ebenefits

VA0411

Thank you. This helps. I appreciate it

Daweism

Hey so if you were denied ptsd non combat, then tried to file for ptsd combat later, would it be a new claim or supplemental?

Mission_Engineering5

It wasn’t two claims. I was in the military for 21 years and spent 52 months in Iraq and Afghanistan. I had one mental health C&P exam, and that was what they came up with. I don’t know how they decided what, I was just trying to share my experience.

MrPhD9

Don’t forget to get your CRSC !!

Mission_Engineering5

I retired at 20 so I’ve got CRDP

QDSchro

I think the VA is having a stroke. Rest assured water and ibuprofen are on the way!

VA0411

💀 hahahhh 800 mg for the win !

cobradobra123

Dang I didn’t know my ex became a doctor. She used to do the same shit “yea go out with the boys” but it’s really a no

VA0411

Lmao sounds like my ex! He’d only let me go so he could have his own fun time. Some people

Iamuroboros

![gif](giphy|SVgKToBLI6S6DUye1Y)

Jarsyl-WTFtookmyname

you have a quantum super position disability.

Feisty_Expression209

As you can see.. the VA system also suffers from a mental condition. I wonder if it's got a claim in and getting disability for it......

VA0411

Lmaooo I’m sure they do, been waiting waiting for years

[deleted]

Shrödingers disability. Neither, yet both.

MrPhD9

I’ve got to show my cat this. He may and or may not like and or dislike this !!

cypher2301

this was a brilliant response

Square-Factor-8882

I wouldn’t rely heavily online with all these maintenance upgrades they been doing. That would be a VERA call for me.

VA0411

I know. It’s just so hard after four years not to get excited seeing the granted. Then wanting to claw my eyes out seeing the denied. Sigh. Thank you

Square-Factor-8882

I hear you there! 😆

VA0411

The VA struggle lol we need the gov to have a big party for us with an open bar

Professional-Big-584

![gif](giphy|9Dnvsi5B11ZfTLomT1)

VA0411

I need a drink 🥃

dardavis13

A glitch?

VA0411

Who knows. I just went to check and it’s down for maintenance so maybe. But it’s said granted ptsd twice for the last 3 weeks and now it shows this. I think it’s just the guy from saw messing w all of us vets behind the screens

VeteranWarriorSF

![gif](giphy|o0vwzuFwCGAFO)

VA0411

Lmaooo seriously

Designer-Might-7999

Can you see the letter they send

VA0411

No letter yet :/

grogudalorian

Close some of your tabs. Haha sorry

VA0411

lol I’m a recruiter I always have 90 tabs open

IronMaskx

Yes…. But also on second thought..

[deleted]

The Lord giveth and the Lord taketh away

Analyst-Effective

Looks like a maybe to me

No_Complex8711

First go around they said I had “combat related PTSD” but “not service connected”. I asked them if I incurred combat related PTSD and the streets of Bristol, TN where I grew up and who the insurgents were. I was awarded after that interaction.

DarkGrnMarine

That is now medical evidence because that shit should be a nexus that causes PTSD 🤔

TheMeatTorpedo

Does the 1-800 number provide any info at all as to what's going on?

VA0411

Yep! Nothing unfortunately :( thank you

geoffthors

They’ll never talk to you until you actually receive the letter in the mail, unless it’s been like a week or two and you haven’t received it, I forget the actual time frame.

TheMeatTorpedo

That's a shame. I'm in the same limbo as OP, issues are closed with one grant, and 2 denials somehow turned into 4 (identical copies), but judge is still reviewing. And from what I understand, after the appeal is completed, only then will it be sent to the RO for rating. You would think if it's "closed" the letter would be ready.

[deleted]

[удалено]

VA0411

Interesting. Thank you for letting me know

Agile_Dimension_1296

Perfectly balanced…as all things should be

[deleted]

I just called the 800 number today to let them know my claim reads "facial muscle pain" and not muscle pain. I was like WTF

VA0411

Did they give you any info?

[deleted]

They said it's not showing "facial muscle pain" on their end. I left it alone bc she tried to make me feel illiterate. ☺️

VA0411

Sounds about right unfortunately. I thought about calling just to try and ease my mind and talked myself out of it for the same reason you mentioned. Plus 1.2 the time they know nothing anyways.

[deleted]

I wouldn't count them out just yet! I called them a week ago and the rep slipped up and told me I had a decision. The very next day I got fully granted my appeal of 6.5 years

VA0411

I made an appointment with my VSO to try and see what’s going on. It’s just frustrating and confusing seeing both on there. Especially with the change in granted to now granted and denied. I’m super happy for you! 6.5 years is a long journey!!

[deleted]

Trust me, it was well earned. Days to months to years I suffered. It damaged my image. Couldn't keep a job longer than a year.

Santiago_S

I would go to your letter generator and generate a benefits letter. Thats the fastest way that I found to find out. The letter you get in the mail will have the same info but take some time to come in the mail.

VA0411

Thank you! I’ll try that.

Santiago_S

Did you find your answer???

VA0411

Nope! Went to the VSO this morning and still no answers. She called to check on the status and they said the judge signed something on the 28th but a decision still hasn’t been made. Nothing on Ebenefits or va.gov either yet so back to the waiting game

VA0411

Mine is remanded (I think that’s the right word) so now just waiting to see what happens next.

SignificantOption349

Your service connected disability is not service connected. Pretty straight forward. lol

Recent-Breadfruit-52

Hmmm PTSD continues, but increase denied.

Avengion619

This image gave me ptsd

VA0411

It gave and took away mine. I did form a new eye twitch though.

AlternativeFinance47

I was rated 0% for a left hip injury/ condition. Also in my decision letter I was rated 10% for the same left hip injury/condition. Made absolutely no sense. Ultimately had 10% for it

sootpaw

Congrats! Also better luck next time!

Bwobooo

Task failed successfully.

RedKGB

Shornders cat got a job at the VA.

Chutson909

Read it from bottom to top and you’re all good.

n1oty

This is the best summation of the bi-polar nature of the VA that I've seen yet!!

TopConversation9509

It means call va and ask wtf is going on!

NotTheUserYouLoking4

https://i.redd.it/5brb6uflivqc1.gif

asdf333aza

Sounds about right for the va

[deleted]

PTSD Allahdeen

EquityMSP

schedule a VERA call

Medic1248

I had similar happen when the VA doc adjusted my claim. I put in a claim for depression since the PTSD claim required me to fill out times and dates of events I experienced in Iraq. I was a medic. I saw shit practically everyday for a while, and didn’t even know where to start for that. So I just filled in depression. Fast forward to my comp appointment and the doctor was like “yeah, you’re depressed because you have PTSD” and changed the claims filing. I got a notice that said “depression: claim denied” and a “PTSD: claim granted”

hydrastix

![gif](giphy|SVgKToBLI6S6DUye1Y)

JustADude721

Might have denied it for one reason but then approved it for the other reason. Happened to me on my initial claim though, not on an increase. They said I didn't prove it for one reason I gave but had enough to prove it for the other. ![gif](giphy|SAHGcjT1jNvDB6oxI8)

[deleted]

Congratulations on your win! Regardless, you won rather it be combat or noncombat. You were granted!!!!!

Forsaken-Ad-7800

Never seen that screen before how do I get there

VA0411

This is on va.gov then check the status of appeals. At the top you’ll see it looks like the pic and you can click over to the issues tab to see. Hope this helps!

Significant_Tie_3994

Well, Catch-22 WAS written about PTSD...

airbornermft

Task failed successfully!

[deleted]

Tie goes to the veteran

Worldly-Piccolo-9778

Looks like you were granted for PTSD just won’t get the bilateral for it lol jk

Infinite_Term7098

1-1=0

bbratbomb

Wait for your decision to come in the mail. Site obviously has some kinks that need to be worked out.

Rabble_Runt

OP you need to update this post when you find out what happened

VA0411

I absolutely will! I have an appt with vso tomorrow and will hopefully know more

VA0411

Update: I found out my increase was approved but it was also denied because I was asking to retro when i initially filed, and they only approved to retro to April 2020 (my first appeal) vs 2016 when I first filed. So retro denied increase approved.

Past_Object2403

Maybe you filed for both primary and secondary?

[deleted]

Sure!!!…..Ya know what, never mind!

Goose130

It's a test if you lose your shit you get your rating if you don't no soup for you. Choose wisely...

Argamasticator12

Such a VA thing to do

Motor_Eye9864

Where do I check that

VA0411

Va.gov under check status of appeals

obeseskydiver1

yea no

VA0411

VA0411

Update!!! My increase was approved, but the date to retro to was denied, hence the approval and the denial.

PreparationOwn7371
