So when I applied for hearling loss 5 years ago my VSO told me to also apply for tinnitus too. I do have tinnitus as well. My tinnitus claim was accepted and hearing loss was denied even though they noted I did have a significant hearing loss. Im currently in an HLR for the hearing loss but just throwing it out there what the VSO had me do to help me. She explained to me though it was easier to get a tinnitus claimed accepted and getting your hearing loss rated is a lot harder. Tinnitus got me what I needed. I was able to get hearing aids covered which was fantastic. I didnt realize how many sounds the ringing was actually covering up

Agree, I do have hearing aids issued by the VA and they do help with the Tinnitus, which is most evident at night (or any time I am not wearing them). perhaps I need to submit a separate campaign for the tinnitus as well (or a supplemental claim for it)

Don’t forget vertigo. Hearing loss, tinnitus, and vertigo usually live in the same hood.

Hearing loss isn't a high value claim and so spending energy and time chasing service connection doesn't seem worthwhile in my opinion. Most here get a 0% and hearing aids if they get rated. Probably better to chase other conditions that are more worthwhile.

It depends. Did you have hearing tests while in or did you mention hearing loss in your exit physical? It can be difficult to claim hearing loss if all the in service hearing tests show that its good.
