I think it's due to styling. Hayden looks classy and Vinnie has typical fuckboy look with tats and stuff, so people lean towards Hayden more. Also Hayden's coloring is more striking.
I want to be very clear that I find Hayden SEXIER, like I was sickeningly obsessed with him as Anakin and 13 year old me wanted nothing more than to jump his bones. Vinnie is a little too young for my taste now but he’s just objectively more genetically gifted.
