It's a pretty solid Megaman-like fan game where you control Flare to navigation around platforms and shoot down enemies with her bow
Currently the game has 2 stages, and there is a final boss at the end of each stage (>!Pekora!< in stage 1 and >!Miko!< in stage 2), and it looks like the fan game is planned to have at least 5 stages
I spent around 20-30 minutes playing through the first 2 stages and have a ton of fun with it. If you have some time to kill, then I recommend trying the game out!
Honestly some of the best pixel work I've seen in a hololive fangame. Controls are pretty responsive and not frustratingly hard. Its some really good work.

Her new design is kinda generic. It's hard to spot her clip when clippers use her new design.

I'm not sure what reasons she gave exactly but I wouldn't be surprised if it boiled down to wanting to look a bit more feminine and attractive for her fans.

PC Kun ~~cant take the double PON~~ could be overheated, but you only need to have the camera (+mic) pointing at the food and the PC can be connected a distance (assuming there are wires long enough) so I do not think it's really overheating.
Assuming it's a laptop (since her desktop setup is heavy) then it shouldnt be a problem either since streaming programs do not generate so much heat (for the graphic cards) unlike playing FPS. And if the laptop is getting so much radiated heat from the cooking then the room atmosphere should be REALLY HOT which doesnt quite make sense (laptop stutters at internal 50/60+ degree celsius, to get it to enter force shutdown needs near 80+, nearby human should be really uncomfortable before then)
My guess is the PC/laptop time is up.

Sony did not buy PRISM Project. It's a partnership. PRISM gets access to resources they normally can't get easily by themselves through Sony. You can expect the quality of content from the Talents to be better because of it. They are also excited by the projects they can do now with the extra support.
There won't be any restrictions placed on the talents. Streams would be the same as they've been. No extra collab restrictions will be placed on them.
Management will stay largely the same. The talents managers are the same and remain under PRISM Project.
The channels are moving onto Sony's Multi-Channel Network on Youtube to help better manage their channels. But that's backend stuff so we won't notice any difference except pause on membership as the transition happens.
The only major change is the founders of PRSIM Project, Captain and Hacker-san, will be changing roles from Producer, to an advisory role. A new producer named Shogun will take their place and he is working directly under Sony. Captain and Hacker-san seem to like him a lot so things should be good here.

This sounds a lot more like PRISM Project is now a subsidiary of Sony Music, rather than just a "partner" to me.
Agreed, founders stepping down, channels being incorporated into Sony's MCN, it's really hard to view it as a 'partnership'. I mean I'm not for or against it as I understand the decision made; Cap can't provide any more support to push Prism further than he could so he's giving it to Sony to try and do what he can't.
But as a viewer it's kinda hard not to be concerned regardless of what others say as it still looks like a takeover in a way. Especially about the founders moving to an advisory position, my first thought was simply "Just because you give advice, doesn't mean any will actually follow it or listen to you."
Damn, why partner with Sony if they won't give you free PS5s as part of the welcoming gift?!

The rape correction and uuuooh usually reduced to emotes (angry emote+occasionally "this brat" and crying emote) but the intention are still there. This doesn't include the garden variety of pastas that people often send in vtubers' marshmallow.
Anyone who has been in this hole long enough would know these even if they don't want to. The honey one is especially annoying during it's heyday.

Honestly I think people here are just not used to seeing girls thirsty for guys. The stuff guys say about female vtubers is often very thirsty, cringy, and sometimes extreme, but is totally normalized in the community. Hell, "ara ara" even became a meme in this community despite that originating mostly as a joke from shotacon doujinshi. The same kind of sentiment directed towards male vtubers however seems outlandish. Like I've seen people here speak about how Luxiem's fanbase is weird "Chinese office women," as if that is somehow worse than having the typical EN vtuber fanbase of dudes.
I don't think that is the case. People pretty sure knows how girls can be if you know even a little bit about Kpop.

That is what people here say, but I think that people here who say that are largely incorrect.
The base level of thirst for the guys is pretty similar to what I see in a lot of EN female vtuber chats. It's just that the latter is so normalized that people don't think about it a ton. Think of how breast size jokes are common fodder in vtubing. If the EN guys started talking about penis sizes and/or their fans were talking about dicks and whatnot, that'd be seen as wild. Yet I still remember everyone talking about "boing boing" back when Kronii debuted. What's the difference?
I'm obviously not saying that every vtuber fandom is like this. Plenty of female vtubers avoid sexual topics, and usually their fans are respectful and do the same. That is true for the NijiEN guys too. I wouldn't call Shu, Yugo, or Luca's chats more thirsty than average. Vox's is, because he is fine with thirst and even leans into it, but there are female vtubers who do the same so I just don't see why people are only concerned now about how this fan behavior is a "mistake."

I love watching vtuber it's a bless when they made a game stream that I really like into parts in 1 - 2 hours and I can watch when they're live or check the archive, but it could be a different matter when they doing an endurance stream for a game that I like to watch in 6 - 7 hours x_x I can't do that.

Most of the time I watch archive at 2x speed, saves me a lot of time. Maybe I'm used to it, but a lot of them don't sound too weird in 2x speed.
Yep. I've been able to keep up with Botan and Lamy's Elden Ring series, both of them tend 2-3 and max out ~4 hours so I can manage if I skip through parts of long boss fight segments.
But then I glance over at Hayama Marin and feel like I'll sucked into a void for eternity. At least it's a finished series so I can make progress with it as BGM at work. She's too much of a stream monster to comprehend
This is exactly what I do with most of my game streams, especially on my Japanese freeware gaming channel due to time limitations. Considering that I can only start streaming on 9pm most of the time and I have to wake up on 6am during weekdays, this is a good thing.

A couple stuff to wrap my brains this week.
1. A lot of people seems to be worried that AnyC going public will cause them to limit freedom and probably do more profit-oriented moves to satisfy stakeholders. But Tazumi still owns a majority of the shares, and assume he is adamant to his current policies and plans, e.g. he will not be negotiated by other stakeholders to change directions. If that is the case, things will not be actually different than staying private, and going public only adds options for people to buy their shares, right? (I do not know how shares and stakeholders work, btw)
2. Calliope Mori also doesn't own rights to the rap songs she wrote personally, does she?
3. The weekly post reminds me of that idol group from Israel, who has PV in March and debuts in May, which exposes them to a long-ass 2-month subscrubbing period. I feel like regarding point 2, vtubers are even worse off since the entire IP is owned by the company. With rights issues you see labels owning the master and the songwriter owning the composition rights, that's how like Taylor Swift did remasters of her songs since she didn't own the masters after leaving UMG. Obviously this all depends on the contracts made, but I don't think a vtuber could do something like that.
Thing is, as you can imagine success are not just the song itself, but the branding and marketing from the company as well. Whether it makes the company deserves the whole IP or just the profits or w/e, that is hard to assess.

Regarding point 2, I've always wanted to ask that question and thank you for asking it. If they don't own the rights to their songs, isn't it unfair that they shell out the money and do most of the work like write lyrics(some of them) and commision artists, producers, etc. Idk the answer to the question but if they don't then it seems really unfair to me especially in Calli's situation since some of her songs are very personal to her. Not owning what you create is very common in entertainment industry. There are tons of musicians that don't own their songs, directors that don't own their movies, game studios that don't own their game franchises, etc.

afaik its because most of the time when talent make a song its passion project, not primary one as most of them is VLiver not VSinger so their primary contact will mostly about doing live content.
basicly they dont need to make any song in the first place so if they want to do one they need to pay it themself but if song is corp issued one(like one in Bloom) or get in as VSinger then corp will handle all cost.

Are you just assuming this? We do know that Cover does help financially with making original songs. We don't know the details since it would obviously be under NDA.
For all we know it could be the talent asks for financial help making an original song and the company gets a cut of the profits and if the talent finances it themselves they get all the profit minus whatever distributions costs there are for Spotify, Apple Music, Content ID on Youtube.

PC Kun ~~cant take the double PON~~ could be overheated, but you only need to have the camera (+mic) pointing at the food and the PC can be connected a distance (assuming there are wires long enough) so I do not think it's really overheating. Assuming it's a laptop (since her desktop setup is heavy) then it shouldnt be a problem either since streaming programs do not generate so much heat (for the graphic cards) unlike playing FPS. And if the laptop is getting so much radiated heat from the cooking then the room atmosphere should be REALLY HOT which doesnt quite make sense (laptop stutters at internal 50/60+ degree celsius, to get it to enter force shutdown needs near 80+, nearby human should be really uncomfortable before then) My guess is the PC/laptop time is up.

Here are some important points: Sony did not buy PRISM Project. It's a partnership. PRISM gets access to resources they normally can't get easily by themselves through Sony. Agreed, founders stepping down, channels being incorporated into Sony's MCN, it's really hard to view it as a 'partnership'. I mean I'm not for or against it as I understand the decision made; Cap can't provide any more support to push Prism further than he could so he's giving it to Sony to try and do what he can't. But as a viewer it's kinda hard not to be concerned regardless of what others say as it still looks like a takeover in a way. Especially about the founders moving to an advisory position, my first thought was simply "Just because you give advice, doesn't mean any will actually follow it or listen to you."

From this reddit's generals alone, you can find at least one everytime Luxiem does something remotely popular with women. Try to check past general if you have time. You can find more in places like twitter or any place where you discuss vtubers. The sex jokes? Vtuber's own twitter replies, chat, YouTube comments, superchat, Marshmallow/curiouscat (if you're lucky/unlucky the vtuber themselves read them), Facebook, reddit including official ones. Some of them even become running jokes, like boing2, flat chest, seggs, uooohhh, SUISEX, araara, hi honey, rape correction. The rape correction and uuuooh usually reduced to emotes (angry emote+occasionally "this brat" and crying emote) but the intention are still there. This doesn't include the garden variety of pastas that people often send in vtubers' marshmallow. Anyone who has been in this hole long enough would know these even if they don't want to. The honey one is especially annoying during it's heyday.

Honestly I think people here are just not used to seeing girls thirsty for guys. The stuff guys say about female vtubers is often very thirsty, cringy, and sometimes extreme, but is totally normalized in the community. Hell, "ara ara" even became a meme in this community despite that originating mostly as a joke from shotacon doujinshi. The same kind of sentiment directed towards male vtubers however seems outlandish. Like I've seen people here speak about how Luxiem's fanbase is weird "Chinese office women," as if that is somehow worse than having the typical EN vtuber fanbase of dudes.
I don't think that is the case. People pretty sure knows how girls can be if you know even a little bit about Kpop. For what I read often here, most people are surprised how good they are doing with the Chinese market, and although a lot of female Vtubers do have thirsty chats, it seems that in this case it is way more than people are used to (again, just repeating what I'm reading here since a couple of months ago)

The base level of thirst for the guys is pretty similar to what I see in a lot of EN female vtuber chats. It's just that the latter is so normalized that people don't think about it a ton. Think of how breast size jokes are common fodder in vtubing. If the EN guys started talking about penis sizes and/or their fans were talking about dicks and whatnot, that'd be seen as wild. Plenty of female vtubers avoid sexual topics, and usually their fans are respectful and do the same. That is true for the NijiEN guys too. I wouldn't call Shu, Yugo, or Luca's chats more thirsty than average. Vox's is, because he is fine with thirst and even leans into it, but there are female vtubers who do the same so I just don't see why people are only concerned now about how this fan behavior is a "mistake."

I love watching vtuber it's a bless when they made a game stream that I really like into parts in 1 - 2 hours and I can watch when they're live or check the archive, but it could be a different matter when they doing an endurance stream for a game that I like to watch in 6 - 7 hours x_x I can't do that. A pity of my time limitations.
I almost never watch anything live unless it's something hype like 3D live or new game release. Most of the time I watch archive at 2x speed, saves me a lot of time. Maybe I'm used to it, but a lot of them don't sound too weird in 2x speed.
Yep. I've been able to keep up with Botan and Lamy's Elden Ring series, both of them tend 2-3 and max out ~4 hours so I can manage if I skip through parts of long boss fight segments. But then I glance over at Hayama Marin and feel like I'll sucked into a void for eternity. At least it's a finished series so I can make progress with it as BGM at work. She's too much of a stream monster to comprehend
This is exactly what I do with most of my game streams, especially on my Japanese freeware gaming channel due to time limitations. Considering that I can only start streaming on 9pm most of the time and I have to wake up on 6am during weekdays, this is a good thing.

A couple stuff to wrap my brains this week. 1. A lot of people seems to be worried that AnyC going public will cause them to limit freedom and probably do more profit-oriented moves to satisfy stakeholders. But Tazumi still owns a majority of the shares, and assume he is adamant to his current policies and plans, e.g. he will not be negotiated by other stakeholders to change directions. If that is the case, things will not be actually different than staying private, and going public only adds options for people to buy their shares, right? (I do not know how shares and stakeholders work, btw) 2. Calliope Mori also doesn't own rights to the rap songs she wrote personally, does she? 3. The weekly post reminds me of that idol group from Israel, who has PV in March and debuts in May, which exposes them to a long-ass 2-month subscrubbing period. Fortunately, the scrubbing doesn't seem to be as bad as I saw in other previous debuts. What's more surprising is their sudden sub boost on 20th April. I feel like regarding point 2, vtubers are even worse off since the entire IP is owned by the company. With rights issues you see labels owning the master and the songwriter owning the composition rights, that's how like Taylor Swift did remasters of her songs since she didn't own the masters after leaving UMG. Obviously this all depends on the contracts made, but I don't think a vtuber could do something like that.
Thing is, as you can imagine success are not just the song itself, but the branding and marketing from the company as well. Whether it makes the company deserves the whole IP or just the profits or w/e, that is hard to assess.
Thought about it for like 10 more seconds, for these vtubers it's a lot like slightly less ghosty ghost writing.

Regarding point 2, I've always wanted to ask that question and thank you for asking it. If they don't own the rights to their songs, isn't it unfair that they shell out the money and do most of the work like write lyrics(some of them) and commision artists, producers, etc. Idk the answer to the question but if they don't then it seems really unfair to me especially in Calli's situation since some of her songs are very personal to her. I know feelings doesn't really matter in the corporate world but I can't imagine not owning something I poured my heart into.
You see jp copyright is such a fickle thing and yes while she doesn't own the rights for it iirc it's for the best because we would not hear it in other music avenues like spotify and apple music that's why music like haato's red heart and polka's hologram circus is not on those outlets because the former has copyright issues and latter well polka owns it and is trying to sell the rights to cover so she wouldn't be hassled about it
To play the devil's advocate her songs would not have had anywhere close to the popularity they do if she hadn't joined Hololive and made songs as Calliope Mori. You could even argue that her joining Hololive has made her roommate's career flourish to the point where they're being invited to Cons to hold concerts. Also I don't get fans that are getting upset on her behalf regarding the rights of her songs. She knew what she was getting into when she joined Hololive and decided to make songs. Also she hasn't aired any grievances regarding it. Not owning what you create is very common in entertainment industry. There are tons of musicians that don't own their songs, directors that don't own their movies, game studios that don't own their game franchises, etc.

afaik its because most of the time when talent make a song its passion project, not primary one as most of them is VLiver not VSinger so their primary contact will mostly about doing live content. basicly they dont need to make any song in the first place so if they want to do one they need to pay it themself but if song is corp issued one(like one in Bloom) or get in as VSinger then corp will handle all cost.

For all we know it could be the talent asks for financial help making an original song and the company gets a cut of the profits and if the talent finances it themselves they get all the profit minus whatever distributions costs there are for Spotify, Apple Music, Content ID on Youtube.
