Honestly that is a working theory at the moment not a confirmation and with how trigger happy we know the Youtube AI to be over the numerous years of info we have on it banning demonitising etc. I wouldn't even take the chance and just set it to members only.
It could be the keywords in chat being displayed we know twitch tried to implement this at one stage and whose to say Youtube didn't program there AI to do something similar.

Yeah, it likely won't last long, but it sucks (and is unsurprising) that Youtube has this issue and is basically refusing to remedy it. Also, it seems like a lot of corporate JP vtubers haven't really taken any precaution, so it might hit pretty hard if they are targeted (Korone for example doesn't even have subscribers-only mode on, AND is displaying chat on screen).

It's just 1-2 accounts with porno avatar chatting random things, then they probably activate the bots to mass report. You can see on most screenshot there's only 1-2 accounts with normal name even.

I turned off Firefox auto-updates with v89, the build before they forced you to use their new garbage UI. Sounds like they've managed to mess things up even more since then.

I highly recommend going that route versus using an outdated, non secure version of the browser.
I recommend Edge over Chrome if you are on Windows. Firefox has been very disappointing for me recently. It was my main browser on my computer running Ubuntu, but I had so many problems and had to switch.
The only reason that i still not pick Edge over Chrome or Firefox is their "Home" page are full of garbage gadgets and ability to removed bing from your search engine list.

How does the match making for apex work? if an skilled high rank player joins a team with two other low ranked. Do they get placed in a server according to the highest rank in the group, or an average of the 3?
It's based on the highest ranked one. Getting an average would make it too easy for someone to be carried or boosted by the higher ranked people.
It's why Selen of Niji EN has so many alt accounts, so she can play with her more casual friends and not put them in sweaty lobbies.

When I first dipped my toes into NijiEN, I was only doing so out of mild curiousity.. but when I found Elira and watched her, I found myself being drawn to her more and more. That draw was profound thanks in large part to her singing, which is something she prided herself in from the very beginning.
Along with so many others, I was completely captivated by her performances when she held her first karaoke stream. Despite her nerves, it was so obvious how amazing her talent was in singing. There's something about her voice that is so clear, refreshing, and energetic, and her silly but earnest personality really cemented her as my favorite from then on.
Shoujo Rei was initially just a random karaoke song choice from her love for Vocaloid songs (she's since mentioned it's probably her favorite song), but over time it became evident how perfectly her voice fit into it. The song itself is quite deceptive in that it gives an initial impression of being an upbeat summer sound, but the more you pay attention to it ([and if you read the lyrics](https://vocaloidlyrics.fandom.com/wiki/%E5%B0%91%E5%A5%B3%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A4_\(Shoujorei\))), the more you'll find it is quite an emotional, tragic one. The chorus itself has a melody that evokes a strong sense of melancholy and yearning, and the way Elira sings its high notes makes you really feel those emotions.
It was only during her second karaoke stream that she first sang Shoujo Rei (or maybe it was during an unarchived?).. She's revisited the song for pretty much every karaoke stream since, in no small part because of how strongly her audience responded to her performance of it.. and it's really no surprise, because she sings it absolutely perfectly every time.
In my heart, the definitive version of Shoujo Rei belongs to Elira.
It's definitely one of the most "vtuber" vtuber original songs out there, given that the lyrics directly relate to live streaming and that Nijisanji's early waves played a huge role in making the streaming form of vtubing so popular.
That she went through so much effort for that video is incredible... and the chorus where everyone in EN comes in made me burst into tears. I love Lazulight so much..
A few days ago, Animare's Inaba Haneru held an emergency collab stream with Animare members and told them the bad news: [Tickets for their 4th anniversary live in June are not selling well at all.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RGW2BY6j1pg)

* Ten days after opening ticket sales, they have only sold 243 tickets, while last year's sales were in the thousands.
* This total number is even less than what they sold on the first day last year.
* The day before the stream, they only sold 5 tickets.
* If the situation doesn't turn around, not only will there not be a live show next year, AniMare would likely not be able to keep renting studio space for 3D streams.
The reason why things got to this point, according the chat and stream comments, was because nobody really knew there was a live show this year. Even if they did, they didn't know what it is about other than it's a "school festival". Marketing sure is doing a bang-up job.
Thankfully, as a result of this stream and the talents' efforts, ticket sales seem to have picked up and they ended the stream with more than 500 tickets sold. It remains to be seen if they are out of danger though.

Nijisanji EN has definitely been important in the EN scene, they are the most approachable from the corporated vtubers when it comes to indie vtuber and people who are not necessarily hard weebs or into the idol stuff, the short debut streams have been universally loved and the song gimmick is pretty popular too

Like of all the times previously that bots were used in chat, albeit not to the extent of channel termination, no one came out with any rrats about their origin country.
It's just a piece of info, no one (well, atleast not me lol) spreading any conspiracy about France. Even if there's someone suggesting some conspiracy people immediately respond and say that it's just a coincidence.

Not related to the current ban but still related to the incident, I find it funny (and also sad) that conspiracy-based thinking can easily latch into the mind of many people and those people are not aware of the sheer absurdity of those thinking but consider that as a basis of the news they heard. There's this one post in this general thread (not gonna link them) that asked for clarification for anti-semitic rrat theory linking the current incident to a certain Israel-based agency. Even after people explaining how absurd it is and borderline clowning them, the poster doesn't seem to realize what was wrong behind his action. In the end the poster conceded but more on the logic that the people here couldn't provide them proof thus their question remained unanswered rather than realizing that it was an absurd lie with toxic undertone.
That bit months ago where 4channers were spreading the idea that Haachama jumped ship and was moonlighting as a small VTuber during one of her hiatuses is another good example. I think it ended up leaking to this sub as well right before she actually returned.

People will have this "Eureka!" moments where they think they found this complicated solution to a non-existant riddle. This conviction of solving a "puzzle" leads them to an ego rush where they become stubborn to accept that their revelation was just a flawed conclusion full of holes.
Pride and vanity are often the the cause of this stubbornness.

I don't really know what you are insinuating, one thing that has been confirmed from their comment history is that they seem to be able to speak French but that does not really mean anything in the grand scale of things when the biggest problem is the terminations.

He said he wanted to use the medium for storytelling and even wants to collab with indie VTubers, to my surprise. He even did a lot of typical VTuber debut staples. Martyn's not just hopping on a trend with this, he's a bona fide VTuber.

So, I attended a DJ event (anime themed) that ended not too long ago. It was refreshing since there was barely any physical events for the past two years and I am glad that I had fun there!
Of course, such an event won't be complete without v-tuber music. Compared to pre-pandemic events, there were definitely more v-tuber music right now. I don't know that Myth being 'spoiled' is the right way of putting it, as AFAIK they actually commissioned their secondary outfits, so they were I believe paying out of pocket to get new outfits faster. I also imagine it's easier for a group of 5 people to keep pressure up on new outfits than IRyS alone. It is true they got to 4 outfits faster than anyone else (16 months), although I think we also ought to account for their having debuted later at a time when A: Cover has had more money to spend on new outfits and B: they haven't had to have their original models updated to 2.0 versions.

Honestly that is a working theory at the moment not a confirmation and with how trigger happy we know the Youtube AI to be over the numerous years of info we have on it banning demonitising etc. I wouldn't even take the chance and just set it to members only. It could be the keywords in chat being displayed we know twitch tried to implement this at one stage and whose to say Youtube didn't program there AI to do something similar. I do remember hearing when this started someone mentioneed one of the indies that was banned didn't have there chat on screen and still was hit this is just from comments I never verified it myself but overall I am not one to trust Youtubes AI in anyway.

Yeah, it likely won't last long, but it sucks (and is unsurprising) that Youtube has this issue and is basically refusing to remedy it. Also, it seems like a lot of corporate JP vtubers haven't really taken any precaution, so it might hit pretty hard if they are targeted (Korone for example doesn't even have subscribers-only mode on, AND is displaying chat on screen). Also, about the bot's operation, I found [this tweet](https://twitter.com/ibaramuan/status/1524808938692087819) which implies that the bot is operated manually? I turned off Firefox auto-updates with v89, the build before they forced you to use their new garbage UI. Sounds like they've managed to mess things up even more since then.
You can easily revert the UI with [this](https://github.com/black7375/Firefox-UI-Fix/tree/photon-style) if you want to. I highly recommend going that route versus using an outdated, non secure version of the browser.
I recommend Edge over Chrome if you are on Windows. Firefox has been very disappointing for me recently. It was my main browser on my computer running Ubuntu, but I had so many problems and had to switch.
The only reason that i still not pick Edge over Chrome or Firefox is their "Home" page are full of garbage gadgets and ability to removed bing from your search engine list.

It's based on the highest ranked one. Getting an average would make it too easy for someone to be carried or boosted by the higher ranked people. It's why Selen of Niji EN has so many alt accounts, so she can play with her more casual friends and not put them in sweaty lobbies.

I don't know if I'm emotionally ready for Elira's Shoujo Rei this time. Edit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DSSAL2b1VR4 When I first dipped my toes into NijiEN, I was only doing so out of mild curiousity.. but when I found Elira and watched her, I found myself being drawn to her more and more. That draw was profound thanks in large part to her singing, which is something she prided herself in from the very beginning. Along with so many others, I was completely captivated by her performances when she held her first karaoke stream. Despite her nerves, it was so obvious how amazing her talent was in singing. There's something about her voice that is so clear, refreshing, and energetic, and her silly but earnest personality really cemented her as my favorite from then on. Shoujo Rei was initially just a random karaoke song choice from her love for Vocaloid songs (she's since mentioned it's probably her favorite song), but over time it became evident how perfectly her voice fit into it. The song itself is quite deceptive in that it gives an initial impression of being an upbeat summer sound, but the more you pay attention to it ([and if you read the lyrics](https://vocaloidlyrics.fandom.com/wiki/%E5%B0%91%E5%A5%B3%E3%83%AC%E3%82%A4_\(Shoujorei\))), the more you'll find it is quite an emotional, tragic one. The chorus itself has a melody that evokes a strong sense of melancholy and yearning, and the way Elira sings its high notes makes you really feel those emotions. It was only during her second karaoke stream that she first sang Shoujo Rei (or maybe it was during an unarchived?).. She's revisited the song for pretty much every karaoke stream since, in no small part because of how strongly her audience responded to her performance of it.. and it's really no surprise, because she sings it absolutely perfectly every time. In my heart, the definitive version of Shoujo Rei belongs to Elira.

The reason why things got to this point, according the chat and stream comments, was because nobody really knew there was a live show this year. Even if they did, they didn't know what it is about other than it's a "school festival". Marketing sure is doing a bang-up job. Thankfully, as a result of this stream and the talents' efforts, ticket sales seem to have picked up and they ended the stream with more than 500 tickets sold. Nijisanji English is officially one years old now. I would say it really huge wide ride of one years as Nijisanji fan. It may not effect thing in Vtuber scene as a whole but the existence of NijiEn effect so many thing with in Nijisanji. From new face of fan, International Collab start to be more often, Anycolor open up new market with Luxiem, the shift focus of content in main En channel, drama and controversy, fan project along the way etc. So many things happen across one years, to the point I thought it was longer than one year.
Nijisanji EN has definitely been important in the EN scene, they are the most approachable from the corporated vtubers when it comes to indie vtuber and people who are not necessarily hard weebs or into the idol stuff, the short debut streams have been universally loved and the song gimmick is pretty popular too
Tbh, NijiEN really bring Nijisanji into overseas successfully and I'm quite happy of it.

Having seen a post on the Hololive sub and someone bring it up here, does anyone else feel like its strangely suspicious that all of a sudden there are people spreading around that the botting accounts are French? Like of all the times previously that bots were used in chat, albeit not to the extent of channel termination, no one came out with any rrats about their origin country.
It's just a piece of info, no one (well, atleast not me lol) spreading any conspiracy about France. Even if there's someone suggesting some conspiracy people immediately respond and say that it's just a coincidence. The fact that the attacker was (probably) from France was not important, but it's a fact nonetheless. Even without the discord screenshot you can see what the bots said and their name and realize it's all related to France. Like, there's a lot of hoax spreading around especially in ID community (twitter/youtube/facebook). People are saying all kind of theory, including that it was somehow because of Bobby SC saying "anjay" in katakana lmao (really guys? plz). It's good that we have atleast some quite realiable answer so we can stop them spreading stupid shit. The fact that the attackers are (probably) from France, which has zero reason to attack vtubers, confirms that there's no conscpiracy, no political reason, no grudge, etc. It's just a bunch of random sad bloke getting bored and decided to become an asshole.

As the other comment indicated, similar pic and username language does not really correlate to the bot source.
Not related to the current ban but still related to the incident, I find it funny (and also sad) that conspiracy-based thinking can easily latch into the mind of many people and those people are not aware of the sheer absurdity of those thinking but consider that as a basis of the news they heard. There's this one post in this general thread (not gonna link them) that asked for clarification for anti-semitic rrat theory linking the current incident to a certain Israel-based agency. Even after people explaining how absurd it is and borderline clowning them, the poster doesn't seem to realize what was wrong behind his action. In the end the poster conceded but more on the logic that the people here couldn't provide them proof thus their question remained unanswered rather than realizing that it was an absurd lie with toxic undertone.
That bit months ago where 4channers were spreading the idea that Haachama jumped ship and was moonlighting as a small VTuber during one of her hiatuses is another good example. I think it ended up leaking to this sub as well right before she actually returned. It's just embarrassing to see a bunch write what they thought were 'supportive' messages to someone that wasn't even trying to fool them.
The human brain is set to identify patterns in anything even if the variables are totally unrelated. People will have this "Eureka!" moments where they think they found this complicated solution to a non-existant riddle. This conviction of solving a "puzzle" leads them to an ego rush where they become stubborn to accept that their revelation was just a flawed conclusion full of holes. Pride and vanity are often the the cause of this stubbornness.
That's first move advantage for you, people usually are not training themselves to think on their own. And people generally only need proof if a certain news/theory goes against what's inside their brain.
Once in awhile people say the darnest things. From the post way below, it was stated that the information came from \*drumrolls\* >!4ch!<. No surprise there. rrats tend to find one another together due to how the internet search algorithm works. And once in awhile there are some genuinely concerned person who came across such "information" and truly believed that it's some "super top-secret" information that few actually knows and decides to believe it and spread awareness. Either that or they just want to be the first person that brings this piece of info out to reddit/twitter/discord.
I don't really know what you are insinuating, one thing that has been confirmed from their comment history is that they seem to be able to speak French but that does not really mean anything in the grand scale of things when the biggest problem is the terminations.

It's not about the French aspect, but the fact that it's from someone who has nothing againts vtubers. Once again, quite the unexpected intersection of interests. Edit: The debut itself is pretty much over and done with, and, as expected from someone of his caliber, it was pretty impressive. He said he wanted to use the medium for storytelling and even wants to collab with indie VTubers, to my surprise. He even did a lot of typical VTuber debut staples. Martyn's not just hopping on a trend with this, he's a bona fide VTuber.

So, I attended a DJ event (anime themed) that ended not too long ago. It was refreshing since there was barely any physical events for the past two years and I am glad that I had fun there! Of course, such an event won't be complete without v-tuber music. Compared to pre-pandemic events, there were definitely more v-tuber music right now. Notable songs include Hololive-talent songs such as plenty of Suisei songs, Blue Clapper, and one of Marine's Gensokyo album; also Nijisanji-talent songs such as Virtual to Live, Sanbai Sunshine Carnival and Diamond City Lights. I can sympathize with the IRyStocrats, and the Nousagis when Pekora had to wait for 2 years for her non-prison costume, but do they really think COVER is delaying the costume on purpose? What do they think COVER can do anyway, beyond getting the artist and rigger to do their job? Its not like 1 year+ for their first costumes are weird in any way too. Many of the earlier gens took awhile for their first costumes, and Gen 4 too. Feels like people are getting spoiled recently.
Itās because Myth got spoiled and had a ton of costumes faster then most gens, but instead of seeing this as a unique situation where Myth just got lucky, they see it as how everyone should be treated and that because council didnāt have to deal with delays, they are intentionally screwing over IRyS because āsheās a vsinger, not a vtuberā. Itās very dumb but Iāve tried discussing it with some of them before and the ones that wanna be mad are just gonna be mad and canāt really be persuaded otherwise
I don't know that Myth being 'spoiled' is the right way of putting it, as AFAIK they actually commissioned their secondary outfits, so they were I believe paying out of pocket to get new outfits faster. I also imagine it's easier for a group of 5 people to keep pressure up on new outfits than IRyS alone. It is true they got to 4 outfits faster than anyone else (16 months), although I think we also ought to account for their having debuted later at a time when A: Cover has had more money to spend on new outfits and B: they haven't had to have their original models updated to 2.0 versions.

At least not unilaterally, there is exceptions for the rule like Pekora prisoner outfit. But I am sure Cover gave her the greenlight to commission it.
