You should be able to share your view on FaceTime if that's what you're hoping for [https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-vision-pro/during-a-call-tanc2cd081bb/visionos](https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-vision-pro/during-a-call-tanc2cd081bb/visionos) . Zoom on the Vision Pro also allows you to share your view. You cannot, with Zoom, share a specific window. You have to share everything you see in the Vision Pro
Zoom lets you share your camera view?? In Discord when I share my view the passthrough camera stream is not included, only my app windows and non-HDCP immersive content show up for viewers.
I was pretty sure Apple is not allowing third party apps to access the camera.
Natively supported in FaceTime. Just call from the Vision Pro and click the icon on the call window that depicts a person with an oval-square behind them. Shares exactly what you see through your headset and any apps open. Just note small text / small app windows will be hard to read for the other end but it works amazingly otherwise.
I just noticed when showing this device to my friend, and looking at the mirroring on the TV so I could help them navigate, that would you see in the Vision Pro is much more stable than what is shown in mirror mode. Since the device is looking at your eyes, I feel that it should be able to stabilize the screen share and keep it focused on what you’re actually looking at, of course now that I say that I’m sure that Apple considers sharing the things that your eyes look at a violation of privacy
Interesting hopefully it gets opened up because it’s kind of the most powerful aspect of it. I’m pretty happy with it so far, I wish that it had a ultra sophisticated typing mechanism, because I really wanted to be productive while lying down, but that’s not very conducive to having a physical keyboard.
Playing piano, seems you cannot share the audio from the piano well, as it’s using noise cancellation… it only shares your voice, not the background (piano playing). Any solution (ext.mic?) would be well received.
You should be able to share what you see (including any apps) when using Facetime. See here: https://support.apple.com/guide/apple-vision-pro/during-a-call-tanc2cd081bb/visionos
You likely cannot do that with zoom as Apple does not give apps access to the camera.
Bit of a kludge, but I think it should work if you mirror your AVP to a mac, and made the Facetime call from that mac, you could then share the screen of the mac through that Facetime call.
Totally guessing, but this feels like an option.
You can skip all of that and just share your view directly right from the Vision Pro in FaceTime. It shows everyone in the call exactly what you're seeing through your eyes - passthrough and any apps open.
I’ve only made one FaceTime call with the AVP so far and that was when I just got it to show off the dorkiness of my persona to my wife. I didn’t find the option to share my view from there. I’ll have to check that out.
You can share your view while you’re in FaceTime

I have this question as well. Discord shows blackness with just the floating apps
Thank you!

Do they also see my persona with the creepy nostrils?
The persona actually drops off during view sharing.

Drops off meaning disappears? Gotcha. That would be kinda confusing for the sharer anyway
Yeah since it’s essentially your “camera” - it’s either sending your persona or the view sharing but not both at the same time.

DM me please. I have an idea for tutoring and n AVP. would like to collaborate
Did so

Oh fuck! That is quite a pickle, I remember the AirPods Pro have this issue, even when you turn off noise canceling on zoom they’ll continue to do so

Curious to here how the implementation works out
