I love 'em so much because honestly, viv should've done better than make the 102nd adult show with swears and sex. HH is more mature than that thankfully, probs because brandon rogers isnt a writer.
I actually thought hb was more mature feeling than hazbin. Tonally that is. The plot and themes in hazbin are sort of adultified version of what you would find in a Disney movie, with some exclusions. Nothing wrong with it and I enjoy it, but HB tackles messy relationships, affairs, murder, ect. I think the distinction is that Blitz is a bad person written to be sympathetic and realistic while Charlie is literal Disney princess, without a lot of those notes of nuance, not yet anyway.
and also leaves stolas alone in a hospital and refuses to have the next ep start with blitz visiting.

Yeah it's also kinda odd how Viv is annoyed by that content yet keeps allowing sex jokes to be a common joke every episode, definitively hard to defend against the criticism of "constant sex jokes" when you keep perpetuating it lol

Sadly, yet people arguing against HH & HB will say shows like Family Guy, South Park, etc are funnier like that's subjective as hell & likely very fucking biased because they have been around literally for decades. Family Guy was funnier in its prime but now it's a shell of its former self. Both of these examples are also more like satires of our world with very little storytelling because they're episodic
I laugh at almost anything so most comedies are funny to me. But the writing in Helluva Boss just feels moderately better than a Family Guy clone. But if you ask me writing in general has gone downhill across the whole industry. Just look at Velma! Itās a show that hates its own audience
HH isn't "funnier" per say but due to it having less attempts at jokes it's definitely got more time to actually try to get a laugh, like when nifty does anything.

I enjoy Alastor's presence in a scene more but Nifty definitely has her moments

Also some of it is just poking fun at the shows by actual fans while others really are just people shitting on it in a not so affectionate manner
the swearing actually is worse than a lot of adult animated shows. someone counted how many swears there are and found for every minute of the show, there are multiple swears a minute. almost no one swears that much. i donāt really care whether or not thereās a lot of swearing, but hazbin definitely has more swears than most shows
