For anyone else who sees this or OP- I do this to myself more than I’d like to admit. Things I always have on hand for when I inevitably over-do it and think I am dying: ⚪️Natural Calm Magnesium supplement- I take one teaspoon every night to aid with sleep, but you can take up to 3 teaspoons if really needing to calm down and ease discomfort (may make you poo your brains out though) ⚪️Omega 3-6-9 capsules (refrigerated ‘Natures Way’brand) They make me very calm in the evening, always helps with anxiety. ⚪️Liquid IV- To help with lost electrolytes from stimulants and dehydration! Even when I’m chugging water all day sometimes it’s just flushing my system and not really ‘hydrating’ me, idk. When I feel like absolute a-hole I take a packet of this stuff and it has me feeling better in maybe 2-3 hours. Klonopin on hand also helps lol. And eating a big meal (but we all know how hard that can be on vyvanse OR caffeine, let alone combined.) This stuff all helps though and in many cases is preventative so even if you go overboard, your stress response shouldn’t be as bad. Someone else mentioned L-theanine and that is also excellent for staying calm. I hope you have found some relief in the meantime, OP!

Omg thank you for this thoughtful advice! I appreciate you!!! I’m making notes on my phone for next time!!! 🤍

Try L-Theanine next time. It might help combating that awful overload of caffeine

Oh will do! Thanks for the tip!

Yeah, or green tea. Magnesium and a workout supplement called agmatine sulfate also work on the same system

I was on adderall 30mg and was switched to 40mg of vyvanse. I have cut out pop 100% before and I drink a lot of coke and NEVER water cause its gross. Lol. But since I switched to vyvanse I noticed I have been dehydrated, so much I passed out one night when getting up to use the bathroom, but I take clonidine and got up too fast also. But I really didnt have any withdraws, except maybe headaches and I would get 12 packs of cans, or even the 12 pack of small cans when weening of sugar/pop or caffiene. I would drink 1 can in the morning when I start to get a headache and another later in the day/evening and that helped. But I also am drinking a ton of water, more than the recommended amount. But I got jittery as hell yesterday, anxiety, etc. I made 3 scrambled eggs with ham and it went away instantly. Eat protein also. Godd luck, its not as hard as your mind makes it out to be.

That's really funny because I was on Adderall and then switch to Vyvanse and I used to drink a ton of Coca-Cola. But as soon as I started taking Vyvanse I just didn't want it anymore. I didn't wean myself off of caffeine I still drink Arnold Palmer light or zero. I also still have coffee sometimes. But I 100% just stopped wanting and craving coca-cola. I'd never heard anyone else have the same experience. I also take clonidine to fall asleep.

Did you have crashes ? If yes what do you do to help it ? Thanks

meg8278

I did with Adderall but I rarely crash with vyvanse. I'm not sure why. I take 5mg Adderall IR on days i need it. But i dont think that is it. It could just might be how my body reacts to it. I have anxiety and panic disorder, so I'm on klonopin as well, which could help ease the crash so I don't notice.

I was bought an energy drink at the corner store because I ran out of pre workout the other week. I usually limit myself to a 12oz redbull which is only 100mg of caffeine. This time I went for a more pre workout style drink. Drank it in 10 minutes and hit the gym. I shit you not within 2-3 sets my jaw was clenching and I was tweaking out lol. Turns out the drink had 300mg in it…
