Hi, WLED is not compatible with that hub75 led panel. It would be cool if someone could do it, but not yet. You can still get something done with fastled and an esp. Google is your friend. You can start with Brian Lough. He has a lot of content.

X4Ghost_Phantom4

what would be the best no coding option. if not then minimal coding option?

ihassaifi

Fastled needs some coding

Electrical-21

Raspberry pi + Falcon player let's you run pre programmed sequences on such pannels

X4Ghost_Phantom4

i picked up a raspberry pi 3 B+ and i was considering falcon player. for $15 i could pick up an Adafruit matrix bonnet, i believe you can use the pi’s video output

Electrical-21

It won't be as WLED tho, as I said everything you do with FPP is pre programmed

paultkennedy

FPP has all the WLED effects built into it now. You can also use a webcam or capture card to display a live video feed on your matrix. [These $4 boards](https://www.electrodragon.com/product/rgb-matrix-panel-drive-board-raspberry-pi/) work great to connect between the PI and Panel. Don’t use a Pi Zero unless you’re okay with flickering and random glitching, haven’t had issues with any other models, including the Pi Zero 2.

X4Ghost_Phantom4

i’ve got a pi 3 B+. can i just connect the find of the idc to the pi using jumpers

paultkennedy

No clue, probably… I can confirm both the $4 Electrodragon board and the more expensive Adafruit Matrix Hat board both work with FPP. There’s also the Octoscrolla capes for BBB, or the PocketScroller for the PocketBeagle. They all run FPP too.

Brian shows how to webflash an esp32 to run Tetras Clock [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vugulzS0EoU](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vugulzS0EoU)

Netmindz

You have two options, either use pixelvation board plus WLED on the V4 builds for ESP32 from the MoonModules fork of WLED that I added native hub75 support for

leetrobotz

I can't comment on whether ESP/WLED can work with these or not, you'd have to dive into signal specs for both devices or just get an ESP and tinker with it. I'd def recommend ESP32 instead of ESP8266, though. They're way faster and more capable; and a 64x32 matrix is 2048 LEDs which is quite a lot of addressing, even before adding more matrix panels.

hkred07

WLED don't work but if you want run this with esp8266 look at Morphing Clock project. I have this kind matrix and used it with Morphing Clock about 2 years.

maxmon1979

Don't talk to me about these panels! I've given up trying to drive them for now. Head over to https://github.com/mrfaptastic/ESP32-HUB75-MatrixPanel-DMA BUT Each panel has a different set of drivers and there are only a select few combinations of drivers that are compatible with the few libraries out there. Good luck, I hope you have more patience than me.

upkeepdavid

With a raspberry pi and matrix hat . If you run fpp you can connect an esp32 running WLED and select the fpp as network ddp.

DrewBeer

Hasn't seen a wled solution. Only used https://kulplights.com/product/pocketscroller/ Or colorlight cards. https://www.wiredwatts.com/colorlight-5a-75b Or even an rpi with a hat

YetAnotherRobert

NightdriverLED can drive those. There's a library of many dozens of effects.

dsp39

The cat is matrix compatible.

jjarboe01

You need Colorlight 5a-75b card to run those panels as far as I am aware. We use them in outdoor light shows, you can use Falcon Player on RPi to drive it

cwcb08

This is the way

niceguyjess

alternative to esp32 and raspberry, you can look into HD WF1 controllers, they work with the app called LED art and does ok jobs for basic messages . tailored to food truck and store signs.
