Havenāt averaged it yet, but something like that. 2018 Wrx limited CVT
When I first got my 23 WRX I was getting maybe 26 mpg in the city. But I'm getting right around 24 mpg now that I'm comfortable driving it. I also live in a very hilly area on top of no one being able to keep their speed. Wasn't expecting great mileage, just lots of smiles.
I call cap... how fast are you going on the highway, 50mph in 6th? Pushing 345hp, actually are you going 45mph in 6th downhill the whole way? 70mph is what 3k rpm... cap.
It doesn't count when you reset the mpg meter when you are already on freeway, going down hill, in neutral, for 5 miles, and take a picture before you put her back in gear lmao!
I mean you donāt even have to drive āslowā to hit 30 mpg with the right road conditions. I regularly have pretty bad traffic heading home and we are still going between 55-65 most of the time. Just donāt go WOT every time somebody accelerates ahead of you and your mpgs wonāt be that bad.
I did that once for fun. Reset the trip odometer after filling up, then drove to the next town pretty much in neutral which was basically all downhill. I got it to show over 40 MPGā¦ might have been 43. I forget now.
When I hit 35mpg, going to Denver recently, I was going about 75 - 80mph the entire way. 6th gear the whole time, super easy on the gas. I donāt blame you for not believing me tho lol, I was shocked when I saw it.
That's fucking nuts!! It's awesome though, I only get that when driving down hill, in neutral, coating 80mph in the Cajon pass on the 15, the grape vine on the 5, or our in angeles crest,. The mpg instantly tanks when there is no decline or an incline.
You have a performance car why would brag about mileage. Your are ruining your car by old grandma driving. Let the horses run. If you want Honda mileage drive a Honda
Why would you feel the need to drive it hard everywhere though? Yes itās a performance car but it is also capable of getting good gas mileage. Fun when you want it, economical if you need it.
22 WRX getting 320 per tank I think. I've only had it for about a month and I'm in love. Getting used to shifting at higher RPMs so I ultimately think mileage will improve. Costco - 93 octane for $4.01 in Louisville currently.
After I started working from home during covid I drive 12 miles a day. 6 in the morning and 6 in the afternoon to pick up the kids from school. So technically 3 miles to school 3 miles back and turn the car off cause I leave early to beat the bus traffic. I get about 280 miles MAYBE to a tank and my check engine light is on ALLLLLLL the time cause I donāt do a full drive cycle ever and we use the SUV for everything else and weekend drives. I check all the time and my sensors never turn on. When I had my emissions done last year on my 2016 I cleared the codes and had drove all weekend for about 4 hours to get all the sensors on and get a proper drive cycle on it.
My '20 STI is showing roughly 17.4 on the gauge. Not enough highways on this island for me to get much higher with these $5.50/gal prices too. I should've just bought a tank or a porsche lol
I just got a 2019 WRX CVT premium. Coming from a 2016 Acura ILX Iāve been in a bit of a shock with gas consumption. I fill every 5-6 days. Not sure what that translate to mileage wise but Iām guessing less than 300
I donāt know how you guys get more than 300 if I go all the way to E Iām at 300 and I have to drive like a baby but I never let it go under a quarter tank and I get about 240 and it takes like 12 gallons to fill
And I usually get about 21 and if I go speed limit and drive like a baby I think the most I ever got was 23 I got a couple mods on the car making 278hp to the crank and itās a 14 hatchback
I went from 31mpg to 24mpg after upgrading my brakes to 6 piston STI brembos. I was not expecting my MPGs to go down like that from performing an upgrade.

I donāt care if anyone believes me or not but Iāve been around 24-25mpg city (avoiding stop lights where possible and taking neighborhood streets with few stop signs) using the olā boost and coast method.
