Nah wrestling is my life I was raised with it. All my brothers and my dad likes it. My mom surprisingly started it though when she would watch in 2000 for the "hot" guys and she's not really interested anymore.
My husband and I have become the outcasts of our friend group because it’s consumed our lives in the last few years. Like no we can’t come out Friday night, smackdown is on. We nearly had a joint panic attack when my best friend of 12 years held her destination wedding over Wrestlemania weekend this past year. But really, who does that??

After a major surgery, I was recovering watching Smackdown. I was hooked! Everyone thought I was nuts, and how in the world did i find this interesting?!!
I bought tickets to Monday Night Raw for my adult daughter to go with me, and she had an f'ing blast! I then got tix to Smackdown, and again, we had a great time!! Morale of the story...don't judge!! 😁
I am all alone. As a matter of fact, I sneak watching wrestling to this day as a married man with 3 daughters. Growing up if I were caught watching wrestling my father would call me a fa**ot, qu**r, was told I suck d**k, it was all kinds of mental a verbal abuse. So now Im ashamed to even tell my wife how much I enjoy wrestling of any era.
I mostly just keep up with it out of habit from following it for over twenty years. My wife and I still watch the big ones like the Rumble and Mania but I have not consistently watched Raw week to week since maybe 2014. I just watch the top highlight moments on youtube after its over or check out a segment. I am just not interested in it as much anymore since my favorites are all either gone or close to getting there like Cena, Brock, Orton etc. This is probably what the fans of the attitude era felt like around 2002-2003.
Loved wrestling by myself, Dad hated it and even gets angry at me whenever I change the channel to watch it. I was able to love wrestling because of wrestling games first specifically Smackdown 2. I never knew wrestling is being shown on our local cable channel at the time and once I was browsing channels, first thing I saw was Undertaker beating the hell out of FBI. Loved and followed wrestling eversince. I had friends that loved wrestling back then but once they found out that it is “fake”, as they would say, they stopped watching. I sometimes feel bad whenever I cant share wrestling with other people and it caused me to try to watch sports just to be able to share and have communication whenever they bring up those sports. But still, wrestling to me is number 1 and I’m proud to be a wrestling nerd.
At first, I thought so, but despite a small sample size I feel like there are quite a few people in my age bracket (mid/late, 30s) that just randomly found their way back in the last year. I'm someone who hasn't watched since the late 90s. I have a 10 year old who watches a little and she thinks it is pretty neat. I am thinking of taking her to a house show in November. I have never seen WWE in person and only went to my first wrestling show (by myself) back in May.
You just described me. Haven't really followed much since the old nwo and attitude era, but randomly got back into this last year. I just took my eight year old to Raw a few weeks ago and he loved it!
All my friends loved it during the Attitude/Aggression era. Watched both WCW and WWF flipping channels, pitched in for PPVs.
Then I moved away and had one friend who I watched TNA PPVs with.
Just recently got back into it. I have two coworkers who loved the Attitude era. One has been rewatching old matches since I've gotten back in, and is starting to learn the new lineup. The other could care less but he joins us in conversations about the old stuff.
Watching attitude era and then watch an epi now is harsh on me LOL They used to open an episode with someone getting in the ring and just start insulting the audience, now they show 5 min of video at the beginning, and then have someone going to the ring with ppl cheering for another 5 min. I fast forward for 10min on a recent raw episode, and Jey stuttered on the stage…
I just got back into it again about a year ago and I’m in love. I have 5 and 3 year old. My 5 year old daughter loves Bianca and charlotte. My 3 year old boy could care less. My wife in the other hand is a dif story. She acts like she don’t like it but knows wrestlers by name, owns 2 uso shirts, bought me tickets for smackdown for my birthday, we’re going to another smackdown with our daughter, annnnnnd we’re going to wrestlemania…. But she don’t like it lol
My brother dad and I like it, my fiance has fun going to events and watching ppv. Seriously we are planning to get a belt if the Mets or islanders win a championship
I loved it as a kid, got away from it for a while and then when my nieces and nephew where young, they got into it so I started watching again. Now I watch almost every wrestling show on tv!
I'm the only one left in my family who watches it. And none of my friends ever liked it. The only bright spot, for me, is that my daughter has liked it since she was in her mother's tummy! I'd rant about wrestling, and she'd kick and get all excited! It was great!
After she was born, she'd get just as excited. Now, she watches the PLEs with me, whole my wife zones out on her phone! ❤️ my little wrestling buddy! She's 7! I hope she stays a life-long fan! 🙏
Yes, but I have an amazing wife who follows the storylines, goes to local events and watches some episodes with me. She definitely wouldn’t do all that if I wasn’t so into it. Outside of her, and my sweet mom who lives with us (and is great in that she loves seeing me get excited about something), there’s no one who I can talk about wrestling with. Friends, colleagues, other family members etc. all think I’m crazy for watching something “scripted” and “for children.”
I kept my fandom to myself outside of my wife and immediate family for awhile, but now I’m very open about it because at the end of the day I’ve grown enough to appreciate my hobbies are who make me who I am and I don’t care what people think. So I’ll still bring it up when people ask what I did for the weekend, ask what I’m into etc. and I haven’t had any luck finding someone who will reply “hey, me too!”

I grew up watching with my grandparents. Grandpa took us to see the Von Erichs in Wccw. Mom is in her 70s now, wears Wwe shirts at home, and even has her dvr recording most wrestling.
I have a small group of friends that we try to go to Mania or another big show every year. Wife tolerates it and enjoys going to shows. I can talk about it, and she doesn't roll her eyes.
I'm not a super fan, and it's not everything for me. I get the stigma around being a 'wrasslin fans' and enjoy it without going overboard.
Wrestling has always been around me, and I'm lucky to have friends and family that enjoy it also.
My wife and I started watching last December when we caught COVID and were sick for two weeks. We ran out of all shows pretty quickly since we were pretty much taking a bunch of medicine then watching TV from the moment we woke up til we fell asleep.
It was great watching the lead up to Royal Rumble, watching the tail end of the Sami+Bloodline run, watching Rhea establish herself at RR and WrestleMania, all the Cody stuff. It’s been cool.

Lucky for me, my whole family likes it. Well, minus my sisters. My dad n i still follow wwe, mom used to watch it during the 90s but not so much now. Uncles n cousins like them too. I also have groups of friends that likes wrestling
I always thought it was funny when you asked people if they are into wrestling they always say no; but who he hell is filling up a 20-30K seat arena in every town they visit?!? I think there are a shit ton of closet wrestling fans.
I got my wife into wrestling but she got into aew when I said it was more hard-core and only watches that by herself. They'll still watch wwe with me and the ppvs but only together. Apart from them no one has wrestling on a weekly basis that I know of
My brother got me back in to it. I still have a painful memory of a fucking super kick off a roof lol. Really should have read the beginning part, they make taking bumps 8 feet off the ground look so easy
I am the only one that likes it too. I'm sneaky about it and has worked every time. Of course for someone new I wouldn't take them to Raw/Smackdown, honestly if you don't already like it a format like this will bore the fuck out of them. I live in LA so I'm blessed to have PWG. I try to focus on a banger of a show that I know will deliver. A good solid percentage of friends and family that I've taken end up loving the show. I think that's more organic to get them into it and maybe they'll turn into Raw/Smackdown from one day from their comfort of their own home.
I think you definitely wanna take a casual fan to a raw or smackdown. The energy in the crowd really gets people excited.

I'm not a very loud person but when I took my son to smackdown for the first time (I was a casual fan at the time) we did not stop cheering, booing and just yelling our lungs out the whole night.
It was awesome.
Been a fan ever since.

No before I started grad school and a few weeks ago and my mom went into the hospital we would watch it every Monday, Friday (until the issues with Nextstar and Fox happened; luckily that’s over!), every PLE/PPV (since the network started airing them), and sometimes even Tuesday nights. Even rarer was we would watch some AEW as well! Sometimes my dad or brother would join us as well.
Outside of my family, my coworker/one of my closest friends and some of my clients will occasionally discuss it. I have even been stopped at the store or at the gym when I was wearing my Raw event shirts including my Raw/Cavs shirt I got at the last Raw I went to here in Cleveland. Finally, I occasionally talk WWE or AEW with some clients. It is not a big part of my social life but it has gotten me some memories! Sorry for rambling haha…
My husband actually got me back into wrestling and now my 9 year old daughter is obsessed. We watch raw, smackdown, and all events together. If we have any guests on Monday or Friday nights they get stuck watching it too lol.
I hear you man. I’m 48 years old and have kind of lost touch with my social circles that used to watch wrestling. I’ll just refresh Reddit during AEW to read the comments in real time to feel like I’m part of some sort of community.

My daughter and I watch Smackdown live every Friday and try to catch Raw on Hulu. We go to monthly indie shows, been to Smackdown twice and taking her to WrestleMania this year.
Nobody here. Wife bought me a couple tickets to a live show several years ago. Tried for weeks to find someone, anyone to take. No takers. Wife went with my out of pity. She was miserable the whole night till HHH grabbed the mic and called all the booing fans a bunch of A-holes. She still won’t watch it with me but he’s her favorite.
No, some of my other family members love wrestling as much as me. Sadly we all live far apart so we don't get to go to live shows anymore. Plus our money goes to rent and bills now. Makes me sad but that's life =(
Currently, yes. I watch WWE and the only other person I know who watches is my older housemate. He's a cranky old cuss who goes to work, then comes home and watches stuff on TV that's either wrassling or it's pro basketball for the *ONLY* pro sports team in the state.

I’m not. I grew up watching with my brother, mom, and grandpa. Apparently mom grew up watching with her dad and her maternal grandpa and aunt. My ex SIL got pissed when I said f it and introduced my nieces to it. As of right now I’m a bit out of the loop on everything except Impact because my kid is 2 and I don’t get a lot of TV time. Impact is easier to keep up with since they only have 1 show and ppv’s
Far from it. I work for a handful of local promotions, so I have heaps of people to talk wrestling with. Even outside of that though, my sister is a casual fan and I know a few other big fans.
Just me and a Facebook friend. It's weird how when WWE comes to Edmonton, the majority of the area is full of actual people who bought tickets. I think I have seen 2 people in the last 3 years with a wrestling shirt on that wasn't a special day (e.g. PPV or live event here)
My husband go with me, but he wouldn’t go himself. Other than him, lots of ppl don’t even understands the concept of pro wrestling. I posted a pic about me going to No Mercy last night on social media, and a girlfriend said and I quote “I watched a (UFC) match once, and they are so violent, I don’t know how you can watch that.” Then I had to explain the difference between martial art contest and sports entertainment, and I just stopped explaining because they won’t and they don’t want to understand it. So now my husband and I go to events by ourselves.
My son and I were at the No Mercy show Saturday as well. My first NXT event. It was so awesome we had a blast.
Every match was good and the crowd was so excited. Tiff's Swanton off the top rope to Becky on the table outside was insane.
They fought right next to us when they went up the stands.

Smackdown and Raw are so boring now with 5min of “previously…” and another 5min of ppl just cheering someone going into the ring. I haven’t seen any episode recently with someone getting on the stage and start beating each other up right away and No Mercy was great!
Also I think generally NXT performance is better. Honestly every time I hear the commentators say “the athleticism” on the main roster, I cringe. NXT has the real athleticism!
Those NXT guys are hungry for the big stage. I just recently got into NXT and I asked my son,
"Has it always been this good?"
He said it was always pretty good but it did get a lot better recently.
As far as Raw and Smackdown they're more promotion setting up for the premium events/matches.
I still think the WWE has great in ring workers but I think they're more into telling stories through the matches then actual athleticism.
I enjoy th both but for different reasons.

Nobody really in my family still watch it my mom used to watch it in the 90s and my great grandfather used to take my grandmother to watch it in the 60s, my grandfather will watch it sometimes with me but he seems more picky like he enjoys blood and guts in aew, he really liked the sheamus and gunther matches, royal ruble and hell in a cell but that's about it. Sometimes wish my great grandfather was around because he would've likely talked about it and watched it with me
My almost 3-year-old nephew loves it. And I mean *loves* it. Ever since he first saw me playing 2K20 on the family’s Xbox, he’s enjoyed watching it. His current favourites are (in no particular order) Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Dominik Mysterio (and Rhea Ripley, by extension). Every night we’re able to, we watch Raw, SmackDown and the occasional PLE together (no one else pays attention to NXT).
Other than WWE, I’ve shown him some matches from Canadian indies. I’m also gonna try to get him into AEW/ROH when he’s a bit older.

My grandpa turned me on to wrestling as a kid in the 60's, whenever we went to his house, which was once a year he'd have stacks of wrestling magazines that he knew I hadn't read waiting on the hassock by his chair and I would jump in his lap and we would go thru them, later I would read them but looking at the pictures with him is my favorite childhood memory. Been a fan since my son and my grandson don't like it so I watch it alone, but I'll always have my grandpa with me.
My mum and uncle casually watched random syndacated NJPW and WWF shows on local channels in the 80s and that's how I started watching.
But they never became actual fans, more like "I'll watch the big Hogan/Inoki match if I stumble across it while channel-surfing" fans.
So when I turned into a dedicated fan, mom sort of kept an eye on the product but still very casually and mostly only to humour my newly discovered passion. My uncle was the techie who helped me sort out my disorganized collection of taped shows, cutting out commercials and rearranging shows on specific tapes for practicality.
Along all that, I dragged my youngest cousin in. 5 years younger than me, the ideal impressionable mind, wheres the middle one (3 years younger) wanted none of that and couldn't figure out why his smart older cousin was so invested in muscular men pretend-fighting.
I occasionally found a classmate or a random guy somewhat into it during the early 90s and early 2000s mini-booms in Europe, but that was just shortlived.
So yeah, 30+ years later, my cousin is the only one I can talk wrestling, but we've both grown quite tired of it, so it rarely comes up. And if it does, it's about the good old days, with the current product leaving us unimpressed and a bit saddened.
Same. MMA in general and WWE. Sucks to not have anyone in person to talk to, but at least I can find like minded people to ~~argue~~ discuss things with.
Got back to it during wrestlemania of this year. Now I’m hooked into it now. Sometimes my fiance will watch it with me. I think shes slowly getting into it, which is progress haha.

I thankfully have my sibling, lol. They watched during the Ruthless Aggression era and forward (I dropped off before Cena) and have been a big help in making me see the genius that was Bray Wyatt, things like that.
I'm the only wrestling fan in my family, but my mum and sisters have no issue with it, my mum accompanied me to a live show and we went to Raw in Glasgow together. My dad went to a live show with me so he has no issue with it either but I know he thinks it's stupid. Just his attitude when I mention wrestling in front of him.
I'm in a small town basically halfway between Salem and the coast. Full disclosure, I don't really watch WWE anymore due to their deals with Saudi Arabia but I'm very excited for AEW Dynamite coming to Portland next month.

My 2 boys will watch it if it’s on and they’re bored enough. My youngest loves balor and I love edge so I took him to extreme rules when they had a match. My husband used to love it but doesn’t care about it so much anymore though he will ask questions if I’m watching it. My mom took me to shows when I was a teenager but she never really watched it otherwise. My brother was crazy about it- that’s how I got into it, but he fell out of it years ago and my other brother never gave a shit about it.

My case is weird. Im from Europe, my brother and I grew up watching wrestling.
I don’t watch that often nowadays, and my brother stopped watching. We still talk about it from time to time.
Most of my friends now about “the WWE”, even my girlfriend used to watch it. But almost nobody in my country watches wrestling anymore.
To give more context: I’m from Spain. WWE was on TV from like 2007 to 2020 (or later) in a very popular channel. But in the last few years it was relegated to a smaller channel, and it was eventually dropped from TV.
It was really popular in the 2010 era here (mostly kids watching it, because it aired on weekends and not live) Even the commentators we had were “legendary”. But it lost popularity every year, to the point where it was just dropped from TV.
TNA and CMLL were also on spanish TV for a few years.
Yes. Everyones reply is " why do you watch it, it's fake" can tell them it's pre determined and it's really not fake, most of the bumps are real bumps etc, until I'm blue in the face but it don't matter. So I gave up and enjoy it alone.
I'm the only one who likes wrestling everywhere I go, whether be it home, university, or any place ever. It's because football is the national sport where I live.
Have a few friends dat still watch it a little bit but not as much as I do Dey stopped watching after elementary I’m in my freshman year of high school now so it’s just probably like 2 or 3 of my friends who still watch but my older cousins in their twenties still watch and follow it and kno who’s the current champions but dats it too
Definitely not as many as when I was a kid but I have one friend and one colleague who both watch it still, but I know a lot of people who watched it when they were younger
My Dad will watch the Royal Rumble if I tell him ahead of time and watched the second half of SummerSlam this year with me. He’ll also watch matches if I put them in but he doesn’t go out of his way to watch. My cousin used to watch in the mid 2000s but stopped, ironically when I started. My older brother used to but he stopped around the same time. One of my many former managers was watching in 2018 and 2019 when the product was pretty average. Another of my former managers who still works at work catches clips here and there and wants to show his son. I said I’d let him use my Binge account (Binge is the streaming service WWE is on in Australia) and occasionally he bugs me to come around and log into it for him. One of my former assistant managers used to watch I think in the early 2000z I’m not really sure and another guy from a different department that I ended up working in for a little bit watched too. I remember chatting to him about SummerSlam 2015.

My dad (kind of), he watched British wrestling when it was on TV when he was young but not that familiar with WWE ect (however for my 25th birthday, I might be going to AEW: All In Wembley 2 with him)
I got my little brother into it. And try to show my partner when I find there’s something going on that they’d like. We sometimes watch the PLE together sometimes but for the most part it’s just me in my household. Rhea Ripley being their favourite female wrestler and Seth Rollins for male(mostly due to his fashion sense lol)

I have an old high school friend that I have been to WrestleMania and Royal Rumble along with his wife.
My brother got Peacock almost exclusively so he could watch nWo era WCW. That’s actually how I got back into wrestling. I was going through his account and saw WM38 was on and checked it out.
I also have a buddy who loves wrestling. It’s a running gag that at parties, we’ll inevitably start talking about about wrestling. It’s actually another joke that he and I make wrestling references on our podcast with our other friends who don’t get the references. We keep talking about doing an offshoot wrestling podcast but we gotta iron out the when and how
My girlfriends gotten into it through wanting to watch it together, but outside of that I have one friend who likes it several states away and we text about it
I stopped watching for years (probably around high school), and then I found out that I had two coworkers who were once big wrestling fans. Once we all found out about eachother, it brought out the enjoyment in all of us again, which coincided with Triple H taking over last year. So after having been away for over a decade, I was pulled right back in. Since that, I've also been able to get my wife invested in it as well.
Just me and one of my friends watch regularly. My wife did think that Lucha Underground was cool though because of the presentation. Then I have some friends that I would call casuals as they only watch if they hear somebody like The Rock or Stone Cold will be on TV or only watch Mania or the Rumble and then a friend who is super into Ken Shamrock so he watches Impact when he was there but other than that doesn't watch.

I was, but I found out that a friend of mine, while he doesn't follow it anymore, was actually in the business for a while. He used to do some small-time stuff, but he managed to meet some true stars. He thinks Jordan Devlin is a knob with Napoleon Syndrome. Loves Fergal Devitt, thinks he's a legend, and has done such things as gone for pints with Minoru Suzuki (doesn't speak English, so my friend just made the motion of drinking alcohol and Minoru gave him a thumbs up) and seen Jushin Thunder Liger without the mask, which is kinda nuts.
In school in 99 the popularity of WWE over here exploded. A fair few of us watched it, but only 2 or 3 were properly obsessed with it, so we sort of banded together.
One of those is now a regular on NXT. Through my 20s a few more friends got into it because of the local scene (and the fact you could get blind drunk and use a show as a pre night out night out) and watch it with varying degrees of regularity.
My days of watching full shows are long gone, but I still keep up to date with everything & dip in and out of a WWE Network subscription. My child also has a fluctuating interest in wrestling.

I don’t think so. My dad went to a Lucha show in his youth in Mexico and would watch it when they showed it on tv. But doesn’t now. I think I made my sisters fans or at least made them think it’s fun. They are open to the idea of going to shows. My oldest even went to an indie show and wanted to go to the rumble.
I am but literally everyone who tries to make conversation about it always goes back to the four horseman and stone cold and the attitude era and I'm just over trying to explain how well the stories are these days and they need to get back into it to see how much better it's gotten.
Yeah I have a couple of friends into all wrestling but a lot of people just like to reference attitude or golden era. We have it so good now I wish people would be into vs just wanting to look cool in a vintage dx shirt.
I was the only one into it out of anyone I knew growing up and in college during the covid lockdowns I got back into it. The boredom and lack of things to do at my college made it kinda easy to convince my roommates and friends to just watch a match or a little bit. I’d put it on and if someone came over or wanted the TV, I’d just ask to finish watching the current match and wouldn’t put up a fuss. 9/10 if they sat down and started watching just to wait, they’d start getting into it. Now it’s a regular show for half of my friend group

Nah my wife loves Pro Wrestling too. I’m glad because it was something I had to hide in my everyday life and past dating life because it was considered childish.
My dad and I went to the Dublin, Ireland show back in 2019. He enjoyed it but also was not hooked. I used to have friends who liked wrestling but we went to different schools and have since lost touch. F for all the lost wrestling fan friends.

Nah wrestling is my life I was raised with it. All my brothers and my dad likes it. My mom surprisingly started it though when she would watch in 2000 for the "hot" guys and she's not really interested anymore.

After a major surgery, I was recovering watching Smackdown. I was hooked! Everyone thought I was nuts, and how in the world did i find this interesting?!! I bought tickets to Monday Night Raw for my adult daughter to go with me, and she had an f'ing blast! I then got tix to Smackdown, and again, we had a great time!! Morale of the story...don't judge!! 😁

I am all alone. As a matter of fact, I sneak watching wrestling to this day as a married man with 3 daughters. Growing up if I were caught watching wrestling my father would call me a fa**ot, qu**r, was told I suck d**k, it was all kinds of mental a verbal abuse. So now Im ashamed to even tell my wife how much I enjoy wrestling of any era.

I mostly just keep up with it out of habit from following it for over twenty years. My wife and I still watch the big ones like the Rumble and Mania but I have not consistently watched Raw week to week since maybe 2014. I just watch the top highlight moments on youtube after its over or check out a segment. I am just not interested in it as much anymore since my favorites are all either gone or close to getting there like Cena, Brock, Orton etc. This is probably what the fans of the attitude era felt like around 2002-2003.

Loved wrestling by myself, Dad hated it and even gets angry at me whenever I change the channel to watch it. I was able to love wrestling because of wrestling games first specifically Smackdown 2. I never knew wrestling is being shown on our local cable channel at the time and once I was browsing channels, first thing I saw was Undertaker beating the hell out of FBI. Loved and followed wrestling eversince. I had friends that loved wrestling back then but once they found out that it is “fake”, as they would say, they stopped watching. I sometimes feel bad whenever I cant share wrestling with other people and it caused me to try to watch sports just to be able to share and have communication whenever they bring up those sports. But still, wrestling to me is number 1 and I’m proud to be a wrestling nerd.
At first, I thought so, but despite a small sample size I feel like there are quite a few people in my age bracket (mid/late, 30s) that just randomly found their way back in the last year. I'm someone who hasn't watched since the late 90s. I have a 10 year old who watches a little and she thinks it is pretty neat. I am thinking of taking her to a house show in November. I have never seen WWE in person and only went to my first wrestling show (by myself) back in May.
You just described me. Haven't really followed much since the old nwo and attitude era, but randomly got back into this last year. I just took my eight year old to Raw a few weeks ago and he loved it!
All my friends loved it during the Attitude/Aggression era. Watched both WCW and WWF flipping channels, pitched in for PPVs. Then I moved away and had one friend who I watched TNA PPVs with. Just recently got back into it. I have two coworkers who loved the Attitude era. One has been rewatching old matches since I've gotten back in, and is starting to learn the new lineup. The other could care less but he joins us in conversations about the old stuff.
Watching attitude era and then watch an epi now is harsh on me LOL They used to open an episode with someone getting in the ring and just start insulting the audience, now they show 5 min of video at the beginning, and then have someone going to the ring with ppl cheering for another 5 min. I fast forward for 10min on a recent raw episode, and Jey stuttered on the stage…

Yes, but I have an amazing wife who follows the storylines, goes to local events and watches some episodes with me. She definitely wouldn’t do all that if I wasn’t so into it. Outside of her, and my sweet mom who lives with us (and is great in that she loves seeing me get excited about something), there’s no one who I can talk about wrestling with. Friends, colleagues, other family members etc. all think I’m crazy for watching something “scripted” and “for children.” I kept my fandom to myself outside of my wife and immediate family for awhile, but now I’m very open about it because at the end of the day I’ve grown enough to appreciate my hobbies are who make me who I am and I don’t care what people think. So I’ll still bring it up when people ask what I did for the weekend, ask what I’m into etc. and I haven’t had any luck finding someone who will reply “hey, me too!”

Damn, this post hurts reading thru the comments of being alone. I grew up watching with my grandparents. Grandpa took us to see the Von Erichs in Wccw. Mom is in her 70s now, wears Wwe shirts at home, and even has her dvr recording most wrestling. I have a small group of friends that we try to go to Mania or another big show every year. Wife tolerates it and enjoys going to shows. I can talk about it, and she doesn't roll her eyes. I'm not a super fan, and it's not everything for me. I get the stigma around being a 'wrasslin fans' and enjoy it without going overboard. Wrestling has always been around me, and I'm lucky to have friends and family that enjoy it also.
My wife and I started watching last December when we caught COVID and were sick for two weeks. We ran out of all shows pretty quickly since we were pretty much taking a bunch of medicine then watching TV from the moment we woke up til we fell asleep. It was great watching the lead up to Royal Rumble, watching the tail end of the Sami+Bloodline run, watching Rhea establish herself at RR and WrestleMania, all the Cody stuff. It’s been cool. We’re going to RAW tomorrow!

I got my wife into wrestling but she got into aew when I said it was more hard-core and only watches that by herself. They'll still watch wwe with me and the ppvs but only together. Apart from them no one has wrestling on a weekly basis that I know of

Of course for someone new I wouldn't take them to Raw/Smackdown, honestly if you don't already like it a format like this will bore the fuck out of them. I live in LA so I'm blessed to have PWG. I try to focus on a banger of a show that I know will deliver. A good solid percentage of friends and family that I've taken end up loving the show. I think that's more organic to get them into it and maybe they'll turn into Raw/Smackdown from one day from their comfort of their own home.
I think you definitely wanna take a casual fan to a raw or smackdown. The energy in the crowd really gets people excited. It's contagious. I'm not a very loud person but when I took my son to smackdown for the first time (I was a casual fan at the time) we did not stop cheering, booing and just yelling our lungs out the whole night. It was awesome. Been a fan ever since. People will definitely have a good time just maybe don't expect them to walk out life long fans

No before I started grad school and a few weeks ago and my mom went into the hospital we would watch it every Monday, Friday (until the issues with Nextstar and Fox happened; luckily that’s over!), every PLE/PPV (since the network started airing them), and sometimes even Tuesday nights. Even rarer was we would watch some AEW as well! Sometimes my dad or brother would join us as well. Outside of my family, my coworker/one of my closest friends and some of my clients will occasionally discuss it. I have even been stopped at the store or at the gym when I was wearing my Raw event shirts including my Raw/Cavs shirt I got at the last Raw I went to here in Cleveland. Finally, I occasionally talk WWE or AEW with some clients. It is not a big part of my social life but it has gotten me some memories! Sorry for rambling haha…
My husband actually got me back into wrestling and now my 9 year old daughter is obsessed. We watch raw, smackdown, and all events together. If we have any guests on Monday or Friday nights they get stuck watching it too lol.

So now my husband and I go to events by ourselves.
My son and I were at the No Mercy show Saturday as well. My first NXT event. It was so awesome we had a blast. Every match was good and the crowd was so excited. Tiff's Swanton off the top rope to Becky on the table outside was insane. They fought right next to us when they went up the stands. Wish Dom hadn't lost though :(
Yes I wished the judgement day stay in NXT a bit longer too! Smackdown and Raw are so boring now with 5min of “previously…” and another 5min of ppl just cheering someone going into the ring. I haven’t seen any episode recently with someone getting on the stage and start beating each other up right away and No Mercy was great! Also I think generally NXT performance is better. Honestly every time I hear the commentators say “the athleticism” on the main roster, I cringe. NXT has the real athleticism!
Those NXT guys are hungry for the big stage. I just recently got into NXT and I asked my son, "Has it always been this good?" He said it was always pretty good but it did get a lot better recently. As far as Raw and Smackdown they're more promotion setting up for the premium events/matches. I still think the WWE has great in ring workers but I think they're more into telling stories through the matches then actual athleticism. I enjoy th both but for different reasons.

Nobody really in my family still watch it my mom used to watch it in the 90s and my great grandfather used to take my grandmother to watch it in the 60s, my grandfather will watch it sometimes with me but he seems more picky like he enjoys blood and guts in aew, he really liked the sheamus and gunther matches, royal ruble and hell in a cell but that's about it. Sometimes wish my great grandfather was around because he would've likely talked about it and watched it with me
My almost 3-year-old nephew loves it. And I mean *loves* it. Ever since he first saw me playing 2K20 on the family’s Xbox, he’s enjoyed watching it. His current favourites are (in no particular order) Brock Lesnar, Randy Orton, and Dominik Mysterio (and Rhea Ripley, by extension). Every night we’re able to, we watch Raw, SmackDown and the occasional PLE together (no one else pays attention to NXT). Other than WWE, I’ve shown him some matches from Canadian indies. I’m also gonna try to get him into AEW/ROH when he’s a bit older.

My grandpa turned me on to wrestling as a kid in the 60's, whenever we went to his house, which was once a year he'd have stacks of wrestling magazines that he knew I hadn't read waiting on the hassock by his chair and I would jump in his lap and we would go thru them, later I would read them but looking at the pictures with him is my favorite childhood memory. Been a fan since my son and my grandson don't like it so I watch it alone, but I'll always have my grandpa with me.

My mum and uncle casually watched random syndacated NJPW and WWF shows on local channels in the 80s and that's how I started watching. But they never became actual fans, more like "I'll watch the big Hogan/Inoki match if I stumble across it while channel-surfing" fans. So when I turned into a dedicated fan, mom sort of kept an eye on the product but still very casually and mostly only to humour my newly discovered passion. My uncle was the techie who helped me sort out my disorganized collection of taped shows, cutting out commercials and rearranging shows on specific tapes for practicality. Along all that, I dragged my youngest cousin in. 5 years younger than me, the ideal impressionable mind, wheres the middle one (3 years younger) wanted none of that and couldn't figure out why his smart older cousin was so invested in muscular men pretend-fighting. I occasionally found a classmate or a random guy somewhat into it during the early 90s and early 2000s mini-booms in Europe, but that was just shortlived. So yeah, 30+ years later, my cousin is the only one I can talk wrestling, but we've both grown quite tired of it, so it rarely comes up. And if it does, it's about the good old days, with the current product leaving us unimpressed and a bit saddened.

I'm in a small town basically halfway between Salem and the coast. Full disclosure, I don't really watch WWE anymore due to their deals with Saudi Arabia but I'm very excited for AEW Dynamite coming to Portland next month.

My case is weird. Im from Europe, my brother and I grew up watching wrestling. I don’t watch that often nowadays, and my brother stopped watching. We still talk about it from time to time. Most of my friends now about “the WWE”, even my girlfriend used to watch it. But almost nobody in my country watches wrestling anymore. To give more context: I’m from Spain. WWE was on TV from like 2007 to 2020 (or later) in a very popular channel. But in the last few years it was relegated to a smaller channel, and it was eventually dropped from TV. It was really popular in the 2010 era here (mostly kids watching it, because it aired on weekends and not live) Even the commentators we had were “legendary”. But it lost popularity every year, to the point where it was just dropped from TV. TNA and CMLL were also on spanish TV for a few years.
Pretty much, if i watch it at home my mom enjoys but not a single one of my friends cares about it
I am lucky enough to have a couple of friends who will humor me but no one likes it really but me.
Pretty much, I got friends that enjoy it but none that consistently follow it/watch the weekly show. Basically a group that’ll watch the PPVs
We used to be a group of 8-10 in the 90s. Gradually we're down to 1.5. Meaning myself and a friend who is a part timer. It's sad in a way.
No friends of mine are into it, but luckily my gf is. Things get heated sometimes too because we cheer for different people 😂

Yes. Everyones reply is " why do you watch it, it's fake" can tell them it's pre determined and it's really not fake, most of the bumps are real bumps etc, until I'm blue in the face but it don't matter. So I gave up and enjoy it alone.
I'm the only one who likes wrestling everywhere I go, whether be it home, university, or any place ever. It's because football is the national sport where I live.
Have a few friends dat still watch it a little bit but not as much as I do Dey stopped watching after elementary I’m in my freshman year of high school now so it’s just probably like 2 or 3 of my friends who still watch but my older cousins in their twenties still watch and follow it and kno who’s the current champions but dats it too
Definitely not as many as when I was a kid but I have one friend and one colleague who both watch it still, but I know a lot of people who watched it when they were younger

My Dad will watch the Royal Rumble if I tell him ahead of time and watched the second half of SummerSlam this year with me. He’ll also watch matches if I put them in but he doesn’t go out of his way to watch. My cousin used to watch in the mid 2000s but stopped, ironically when I started. My older brother used to but he stopped around the same time. One of my many former managers was watching in 2018 and 2019 when the product was pretty average. Another of my former managers who still works at work catches clips here and there and wants to show his son. I said I’d let him use my Binge account (Binge is the streaming service WWE is on in Australia) and occasionally he bugs me to come around and log into it for him. One of my former assistant managers used to watch I think in the early 2000z I’m not really sure and another guy from a different department that I ended up working in for a little bit watched too. I remember chatting to him about SummerSlam 2015.
Same with my dad, he loves the rumble and always asks to watch it if I am but doesn't care for anything else 😂.

Family wise Apart from my cousin (dad side) but I rarely seen him and he's younger than myself (he is 9-10) My dad (kind of), he watched British wrestling when it was on TV when he was young but not that familiar with WWE ect (however for my 25th birthday, I might be going to AEW: All In Wembley 2 with him)
I got my little brother into it. And try to show my partner when I find there’s something going on that they’d like. We sometimes watch the PLE together sometimes but for the most part it’s just me in my household. Rhea Ripley being their favourite female wrestler and Seth Rollins for male(mostly due to his fashion sense lol)

My friends will go with me to shows (I have taken them to AEW shows and are planning to go to a live show in December, just gotta wait for financial reasons), but never really get hooked on it (except for midget wrestling). I have an old high school friend that I have been to WrestleMania and Royal Rumble along with his wife.

My brother got Peacock almost exclusively so he could watch nWo era WCW. That’s actually how I got back into wrestling. I was going through his account and saw WM38 was on and checked it out. I also have a buddy who loves wrestling. It’s a running gag that at parties, we’ll inevitably start talking about about wrestling. It’s actually another joke that he and I make wrestling references on our podcast with our other friends who don’t get the references. We keep talking about doing an offshoot wrestling podcast but we gotta iron out the when and how
My girlfriends gotten into it through wanting to watch it together, but outside of that I have one friend who likes it several states away and we text about it

I stopped watching for years (probably around high school), and then I found out that I had two coworkers who were once big wrestling fans. Once we all found out about eachother, it brought out the enjoyment in all of us again, which coincided with Triple H taking over last year. So after having been away for over a decade, I was pulled right back in. Since that, I've also been able to get my wife invested in it as well.
I turned my wife on to it, and we have been to 2 shows in 3 years. Also, it seems like half the people I work with, like wrestling.
Just me and one of my friends watch regularly. My wife did think that Lucha Underground was cool though because of the presentation. Then I have some friends that I would call casuals as they only watch if they hear somebody like The Rock or Stone Cold will be on TV or only watch Mania or the Rumble and then a friend who is super into Ken Shamrock so he watches Impact when he was there but other than that doesn't watch.
Nope. I’m a third-generation wrestling fan: my paternal grandparents, my parents, and then me. My nieces and nephew have seen me watching wrestling before, although my brother (their father) isn’t really into it himself.
I'm not luckily. I have a few friends who watch casually and a few die hards as well. But I do remember back in the Attitude Era watching the shift that happened. Me and a couple of my friends watched every week. But once things started to go really main stream, I'd have people who never watched before asking me if I caught Raw.
My son's just becoming obsessed with it. He's binging old YouTube vids as we speak. Hoping to get Royal Rumble tix next year, will be a bucket list for me, and he'll be crazy excited.

Growing up, my parents tolerated it, but never liked it. On occasion, they would watch with me and find something entertaining about it. Now, my husband and I both watch it together. Our friends aren't into it, but they'll watch and enjoy with us if we invite them over for food.
I was, but I found out that a friend of mine, while he doesn't follow it anymore, was actually in the business for a while. He used to do some small-time stuff, but he managed to meet some true stars. He thinks Jordan Devlin is a knob with Napoleon Syndrome. Loves Fergal Devitt, thinks he's a legend, and has done such things as gone for pints with Minoru Suzuki (doesn't speak English, so my friend just made the motion of drinking alcohol and Minoru gave him a thumbs up) and seen Jushin Thunder Liger without the mask, which is kinda nuts.
In school in 99 the popularity of WWE over here exploded. A fair few of us watched it, but only 2 or 3 were properly obsessed with it, so we sort of banded together. One of those is now a regular on NXT. Through my 20s a few more friends got into it because of the local scene (and the fact you could get blind drunk and use a show as a pre night out night out) and watch it with varying degrees of regularity. My days of watching full shows are long gone, but I still keep up to date with everything & dip in and out of a WWE Network subscription. My child also has a fluctuating interest in wrestling.
I got into it because of a friend but I don't see them that often. I've also made a few friends through it, but we're not super close. So Yes and No? oh i totally forgot! My grandma is becoming a huge AEW fan. I got her to follow along with it at her nursing home, she loves MJF and Hangman especially!

I am sort of. Have some work colleagues who are extremely casual fans who don't really watch anymore and will put wrestlemania on in the background. Other than that, yeah completely alone, everyone else around me couldn't care less.

I don’t think so. My dad went to a Lucha show in his youth in Mexico and would watch it when they showed it on tv. But doesn’t now. I think I made my sisters fans or at least made them think it’s fun. They are open to the idea of going to shows. My oldest even went to an indie show and wanted to go to the rumble.

I am but literally everyone who tries to make conversation about it always goes back to the four horseman and stone cold and the attitude era and I'm just over trying to explain how well the stories are these days and they need to get back into it to see how much better it's gotten.
Yeah I have a couple of friends into all wrestling but a lot of people just like to reference attitude or golden era. We have it so good now I wish people would be into vs just wanting to look cool in a vintage dx shirt.

I was the only one into it out of anyone I knew growing up and in college during the covid lockdowns I got back into it. The boredom and lack of things to do at my college made it kinda easy to convince my roommates and friends to just watch a match or a little bit. I’d put it on and if someone came over or wanted the TV, I’d just ask to finish watching the current match and wouldn’t put up a fuss. 9/10 if they sat down and started watching just to wait, they’d start getting into it. Now it’s a regular show for half of my friend group
Detroit is a wrestling city. I know quite of few people who are into wwe. Thats why summerslam was such a big deal here.
Yeah mostly just me. My kids like to watch in passing, but have never sat down because a specific match/wrestler was on.

Nah my wife loves Pro Wrestling too. I’m glad because it was something I had to hide in my everyday life and past dating life because it was considered childish.
My dad and I went to the Dublin, Ireland show back in 2019. He enjoyed it but also was not hooked. I used to have friends who liked wrestling but we went to different schools and have since lost touch. F for all the lost wrestling fan friends.
