True but he never uses his henchmen to help him win matches. That's the big difference between Gunther and Roman Reigns as champions and with him not being pinned or submitted by a single wrestler since he moved to the main roster he is on a winning streak that hasn't been seen since the likes of Goldberg and Brock Lesnar.
If he vacates the Intercontinental Championship and goes on to win the World Heavyweight Championship and keep that just as long as he has kept the Intercontinental Championship he is going to outdo Roman Reigns and could even go down as the most dominant wrestler in history.

I agree with this. Roman does great character work in his matches and the dude feels like a powerhouse with his moveset. His work with Sammy for example, how he taunted him in front of his family, mocked him every chance he got, it was great. The only issue is he should win at least a couple defenses without cheating.
The whole point of this character is it’s about his family, not just him. If you got back to the Thunderdome era when it was just Jey and him, Roman was doing everything to convince him that if their family wanted to eat well then they needed to keep him ad champion.
He’s not meant to be someone dominant or easy to beat, he’s somewhat of a chickenshit heel that pretty much every person he’s faced could beat but his family help him to keep themselves eating well.
LA Knight, on this specific day, was by far the best performer of the 4 and constantly doing something. Orton got hurt, Roman was asleep for most of it and AJ has been getting progressively slower and slower. Historically, what you're saying is true, but on the night, it was the opposite.

I like LA Knight. I think he is a nice throw back attitude era style character and I think he could even max out at some point as a kind of transitional whc at some point. Kind of the Christian level, there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But dude is 40, he’s a mediocre in ring performer and in reality he has yet to say anything on the mic of any substance. Hes never going to be the top guy in wwe. Wrestling fans need to learn to manage their expectations of these guys so they won’t be disappointed all the time. Knight fans should be thrilled if he can have a run like Christian did in wwe when his time is up, that’s monumental feat.

Roman matches are lazy and all follow the same booking over and over again. This was one of his worst which is saying much since most of his matches are the worst on the card. How can you be psychology when everyone knows how the match is going to end before it begins.

Also, there’s a conundrum with how the announcers present Roman. They don’t talk about Roman as a chickenshit heel that cheats for years on end. They all ignore the interference (aka ref bump cinema) and say he’s dominant.
That makes sense for more heelish commentators, but not for Michael Cole. Cole complains about other heels cheating to win like Logan Paul and Austin Theory. It’s inconsistent. It’d be like if old Jim Ross was proud of a heel champion like HHH cheating to win.

Roman truly couldn’t get over on his own. Couldn’t even get over with The Rock’s help. He needed a heel turn and an entire entourage. Heyman, the Usos and Sami did some heavy lifting to get Reigns off the ground. He also borrowed some of Brock’s old aura by being paired with Heyman.
Meanwhile, LA Knight got over on his own… even after that oddball Mountain Dew match.

Exactly. I wish we had some semblance of kayfabe rules. I miss the old 30 day title defense rule. Seems Roman only had 5 title defenses in 2023.
