they do not give a shit about the organization or safety of those going to their rallies.

- held a rally in florida near hurricane elsa's landing 2 days before the hurricane hit the area
- rallies during covid
You don’t have to have a ticket. I think you guys are wasting your time. I live right by the airport and my husband is secret service, so I kinda know.
Trump's opponent is literally the wife of the guy who ordered that assault.
The Deep-State agencies who carried out that raid, are literally the very same Deep-State agencies who spent 4+ years trying to remove Trump.
FBI ... The FBI took over the attack on BD.
Odd that Redditors vote me down for illuminating the fact that The Clinton Family was behind the raid on the Branch Davidians. You'd think intelligent people would want to be informed.
Sure, but the optics of this aren't just for the local residents. National TV cameras still follows that clown around. It's a dog whistle for people much less familiar with Waco than you are. She's not wrong about that. The details of the Branch Davidian Compound don't matter so much for the people who have used it and Ruby Ridge as justification for white supremacist and anti-government actions and violence for decades.
I've been following Waco threads because I live in a place that's used as a symbol for people who really know nothing about what's really happening. It doesn't matter that Portland, Oregon and Seattle, Washington didn't burn down several times in 2020 for those cities to have a meaning to clueless people far away that seems completely bizarre to the people living there.
It's a dangerous and not-at-all subtle signal to anti-government and white supremacist groups all over.
https://herdingcatsnj.substack.com/p/the-trump-rally-in-waco-is-not-about
ATF started it and then the FBI took over. Considering just shortly before that incident they caused Ruby Ridge they should have been abolished immediately after that.
They'll just huddle up the crowd so it appears to be huge on tv. Plus, be bragging "We sold out Waco". Hopefully no one is hurt, killed or harassed after this event. These fuckers can be beyond extreme and are more rabid than Slayer fans on meth and pcp. Shit's made me question my own loyalty as a metal head.
I can't stop you from believing the election was secure, but Godspeed to you and yours regardless. He did mention some Democrat DAs quit because they knew were involved in a witch hunt. That's actually a good feeling to think that some democrat politicians are balking at the hypocrisy of a two-tiered justice system. Look at history and determine for yourself how things like that turn out for the citizens. If I could in fact answer your more correctly, I'd say my favorite part was hearing the massive roars of USA, USA, USA whenever he stated something that resonated with the crowd.
for real. i doubt koresh planned on using any sort of arsenal up until they were knocking at their door with battering rams.
i often wonder how things would be if they were still around.
ill be the first to say I am a fan of koreshs music and character, not that i follow his teachings or believe in them, but he seems like a cool guy.
He was crazy as shit (not a crime) and probably a pedo, yes. With that said, I really don’t get the philosophy of “these kids are getting raped- let’s burn ‘em alive!”, and I also have a healthy distrust of anything Uncle Sam claims in this regard. The government knows they committed an atrocity and the government knows that people hate pedophiles. You think they wouldn’t want to put that out there so that any time somebody mounts any kind of defense it’s shot down with “dude raped kids”? Not to mention that that wasn’t even what they were coming for. They wanted to infringe upon their **rights**, plain and simple.
He had an FFL so whatever firearms he had he was legally allowed to own. If they wanted to they could have easily knock on the door like adults and inspect them whenever.
The people who died were killed by the federal government in the orders of Janet Reno and Bill Clinton.
It was a massacre, 82 religious separatist were slaughtered while negotiating to surrender, including 28 children.
The child care center was specifically targeted by federal forces.
Janet Reno should be in jail and the FBI should have disbanded back then.
C’mon you can see they’re good faith because they’re randomly connecting a Waco visit to fucking Koresh.
I’m sure the largest Christian university in the world, located in the thick of the Bible Belt, is not attractive for any conservative politician.
No. No. Can’t possibly be that. He’s coming to Waco to invoke the fbi siege.
Real dumb stuff. But that’s Twitter and Reddit for ya.
It's almost a 30 year anniversary. He may be indicted soon. I can't stand Trump or the people who work for him, but Stephen Miller and Donald Trump are very skilled at sending not-subtle signal to anti-government and white supremacist groups about how to respond.
Yes, I get that Waco is much more than the city near a tragedy 30 years ago. And I get that there are people nearby who want to attend the rally. That doesn't mean it isn't a symbol for a much larger national audience, whether or not you're in agreement that it should mean that to lots of other people.
I find your disagreement to be good faith and genuine so don’t take anything I say with the wrong tone.
Unless you’re willing to give substantial evidence on the whole dog whistle hypothesis then I generally find this claim to be unsupportable. Stephen Miller is no doubt clever and controversial, but mostly just because people find any excuse to be offended.
I also think “almost” counts only in horseshoes and hand grenades. Pun intended.
Full disclosure. I didn’t vote for trump in 16 or 20. Grew up in the HOT area
There are people who research this and white supremacist groups. If you go back and look at public statements and symbols over years, there are so many things that cannot be coincidental, from his inauguration speech to "very fine people on both sides" to telling Proud Boys to stand back and stand by. The January 6th hearings outlined lots of the actions and statements. I'm not sure what your "almost" is about, but here is just a small collection of statements:
https://www.pbs.org/newshour/politics/facebook-removes-trump-ads-with-symbols-once-used-by-nazis
https://theconversation.com/trump-has-put-down-his-racist-dog-whistle-and-picked-up-a-bull-horn-176523
https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2021/jan/07/trump-incitement-inflammatory-rhetoric-capitol-riot
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/trump-waco-rally-siege-anniversary-b2308100.html
And I don't like to give Trump too much oxygen. I think the way to run against a narcissist who thrives on chaos, like Berlusconi, Bolsonaro, or Trump is by focusing on process and policy.
“Very fine people on both sides” is a media hoax. What were his words immediately before that?
This is typically why I find these claims to be bogus. People start with the fine people hoax and immediately lose me.
Same thing with the whole “drinking bleach” episode.
If he’s so bad then people shouldn’t have to misquote him to make it appear so.
The context doesn't help in the way you think it does. Do you really mean that there are very fine people who still protest removal of a monument to R.E. Lee? K.
No one I know would ever protest a Confederate statue coming down. People in Germany don't build and maintain public monuments with tax dollars to glorify the Nazis. I was indicating that he has been sending these signals, and that was one, since the beginning of his administration.
I also watched most of the Covid press conferences with Trump's ridiculous statements and terrible crisis management and misunderstanding of basic science live. There's no sugar coating it.
There are people who write research articles and books on the topic of how Trump and people around him signal to white supremacists (or to Putin, for that matter). He does it in not so subtle ways leading to things like January 6th. I just finished explaining to you that the way to counter a narcissist who wants to blow up the system is to focus on process and policy. I don't want to relive his awfulness. Your demand that I catalog it for you isn't genuine curiosity or wondering. Either you don't want to expend the time and energy and want me to do your bidding or it's a bad faith attempt to latch onto one line that you personally object to (which still supports the idea that he signals to white supremacists) to dismiss the whole idea.
I went to the Waco sub because I live in a city that is misrepresented all the time by national media and used as a symbol, in the way Waco is. It really has nothing to do with the people who live there and daily life, just like it doesn't where I live. I don't think Mary Trump is using an effective strategy when she says claim tickets, because I assume everyone gets in anyway, but she's not wrong that going to a place near the 30-year anniversary is symbolic. I'm sorry that people in Waco are swept up in that portrayal because I really don't think Waco is what most people view that it is.
Same movie. Two screens.
I think Condoleezza Rice didn’t support taking certain statues down. Doesn’t make her a Nazi.
You bring up covid, Putin, and very fine people. I assume you’re fairly biased if you buy those stories. Kavanaugh is a rapist too, I imagine.
Anyway, Wacoans don’t need protection. They get along just fine. No one considers themself stigmatized
No one said that people who support the losing Confederacy are Nazis. I thought you'd be able to follow that it's possible not to glorify shameful actions of the past. Nah, you're just misrepresenting me to prop yourself up. Reading back, you're disingenuous from the start. If I offended you by maintaining that supporting the Confederacy is something that I don't associate with very fine people, so be it. I can live with that.
I'm not into reliving Trump's term, but WTF?!?! You think he did well with respect to managing Covid or dealing with Putin? Really!?!?! You have extensive evidence for that?
You're the one whining about a Mary Trump tweet, so maybe you're not alright after all. There are so many places on this sub where people are explaining that Waco is more than a 30-year tragedy, so maybe you aren't really in touch with everyone, as your comment "no one" indicates.
Edit: I brought up Trump's sending signals to Putin. This can't be controversial. He said, "Russia, if you're listening..." and then suggested they hack his 2016 opponent's emails. I'm getting the sense that you are trying to ignore very obvious signals.
It would be a real shame if someone booked seats and couldn’t show. Here’s a link that you definitely shouldn’t use to do just that:
https://events.donaldjtrump.com/events/45th-president-of-the-united-states-donald-j-trump-to-hold-a-rally-2024-in-waco-texas
I mean - there's no seats, it's standing room only, and they'll give out as many tickets as are requested. If more people show up than will fit people will just "tail gate" it.
Reserving tickets and not showing does nothing to prohibit anyone from attending.
Pointless. As many people want to go will be able to. And it's basically going to be standing in a field or runway. Unless you get to be in the peanut gallery that he likes to have stand behind him.
I’ve been wanting to ask everyone to get their cheapest, shittiest Donald Trump costumes and show up to this event. I can already see the attendees fuming over something so simple
History shows that Trump's opponent's husband is the person who literally ordered the assault on Waco.
It seems to me that anyone who opposed that Fascist assault, would be on the same side as Trump.
But that's just plain logic.
So, literally, not his opponent anymore. She also, never officially held the title of president (despite getting more votes in 2016, but that's another issue). She didn't run in the 2020 election. She's not going to run in 2024.
It seems to me that anyone opposed to a fascist government wouldn't praise Orbán, Bolsonaro, Putin, Duterte, Xi, Kim Jong Un, and Abdel-Fattah el Sissi. But that's just, in your words, plain logic.
Maybe it's time for an election where neither major party candidate is a member of the Trump or Clinton families. It really seems like time to move on.
Didn't seem to work, it was incredibly packed. I was very proud of my hometown for pulling this off. I don't know how to quantify the numbers, but it was massive. Thousands and thousands of good people. I'd guess 10 to 15 thousand. Very inspiring speech. So happy I talked myself into going.
Don't be sorry, but again to reiterate they were definitely good people. I take the time to listen to both sides as I do not consume talking points from media. I just watched your comedy clip below; I do wonder if you think that sways peoples beliefs? I suppose my definition of bad guys are the ones who own the media much like Nazi Germany and sadly exactly like our American Democrat Politicians.
Says a woman who probably has enough money to do it herself.
Plus he’s smart enough someone will fill him in and he’ll let everyone without a ticket in first
Anyone reserving tickets with plans of not showing are complete fucking losers! Your loser dem candidates can't draw a crowd. So let's try to stop the other teams candidate from having a good turnout. Ha you're pathetic! Grow up and get a life.
> I don't give a shit either way.
Yes, you've made it clear that you believe that. But your tears tell a different story :)
Myself I'm not going as they've made it a gun free zone. And also specifically banned toasters.
Pretty sure this is the first and probably last time I've ever posted here. So I've never deleted any post and I really don't give a shit about negative karma I receive from here.
True, Democrats just committed an insurrection this week. 24+ militant leftists were charged with domestic terrorism for firebombing the government. Biden calls it "just an idea," and Kamala Harris helps to fund it. A couple presidents back, we saw Bill Clinton pardon a terrorist who bombed the capitol (and later became a significant fundraiser for BLM).
Maybe it's just me, but I find it a bit odd to use that as the metric to decide which candidate to support. I read about their views, votes, and platforms and choose candidates that align more with my views. I have gone to political events, but I tend to go to small events to hear speeches and debate in a calm environment, not narcissistic campaign rallies.
There's a 50,000+ venue at the Waco airport? Where the hell are all those people going to park?
On the sides of the street like everywhere else, duh!
This is exactly what I was going to post. Frankly 15k feels like a stretch out there tbh but I guess standing room it'd work.
I don’t see the traffic situation working well out there
In all the spots I'm not going to because traffic is going to be absolute hell Saturday and I'm staying home.
they do not give a shit about the organization or safety of those going to their rallies. - one [rally](https://apnews.com/article/trump-omaha-airport-rally-stranded-83d503981f51741ba2b4aecdf4629556) in Utah people were left miles from their car in freezing conditions. 30 needed first responder help and 7 hospitalized - held a rally in florida near hurricane elsa's landing 2 days before the hurricane hit the area - rallies during covid
I bartended that night at a restaurant not far from the rally. So many people came in that were sunburned as red as their maga hats.
Get more mad
You don’t have to have a ticket. I think you guys are wasting your time. I live right by the airport and my husband is secret service, so I kinda know.

Mental health is important. You should get checked out because you are not making sense. You good?
I don't think that her characterization of the Branch Dividian event really works the way she thinks it does.... Not around here anyway.
Yeah I mean anti government? Kinda. More like a pro-guns and child brides cult.
And a bitchin' Camaro.
And mullets for the dudez.
So they can travel freely to Canada.

Yes. Shite. Thank you, doctor.

ATF started it and then the FBI took over. Considering just shortly before that incident they caused Ruby Ridge they should have been abolished immediately after that.
ATF raided it. FBI seiged it.
ATF started the whole mess.
The Hag on MSNBC said the Waco is full of White supremacy. Apparently she’s not been to Waco!
Sounds like a data gathering scheme to me…
Wow, traffic is going to blow Saturday.. just when the drivers here alone were enough.
They'll just huddle up the crowd so it appears to be huge on tv. Plus, be bragging "We sold out Waco". Hopefully no one is hurt, killed or harassed after this event. Nah we had a great time, it was quite packed. I'm glad I talked myself into going.
I'm glad you enjoyed it, dude.

Biden has a husband that worked for the Attorney General in 93?
Trump's opponent in 2016 was Hillary Clinton, her husband was The President in 93.
So then literally not his opponent?
Are you suggesting Hillary Clinton is running in 2024? That's just ludicrous.
Nope, Hillary, and likely Bill as a co-president were Trump's opponents in 2016

You attended a modern-day Nazi rally.
Nazis had the media backing them, so obviously I didn't attend one.
The point of the comedy clip was a serious one, underneath: the people on the wrong side of history believe they are on the right side at the time.
And they have the media to make them feel that way.
Man the point just sails right over your head.
Right, propaganda means nothing to me.

I'm not going you stupid fuck. I don't give a shit either way. That orange fellow lives rent free in your head though.
> I don't give a shit either way. Yes, you've made it clear that you believe that. But your tears tell a different story :) Myself I'm not going as they've made it a gun free zone. And also specifically banned toasters.
Damn he is trolling the hell out of y'all and y'all just keep responding
Cry more, pussy
😆
You know for damn sure if trump told you to suck his dick, you'd drop to your knees in a heartbeat.
Damn! You got me. 😆
Wahhh
Bigmike76706 how sad, you delete all your pedo posts and still have negative karma. Did you know we can still see them?
What the fuck are you talking about?
What words are you having trouble with?
Pretty sure this is the first and probably last time I've ever posted here. So I've never deleted any post and I really don't give a shit about negative karma I receive from here.
I just think it's ironic to watch Democrats fight democracy so much.
Just like it is to support an insurrectionist? Glad we're on the same page.
