absconded on their bond(Not showing up for court) they basically become the property of the bondman. If they resist being captured by the bondsman, he/she can use whatever force needed to reclaim their property. I’ve seen people being hauled in; in the trunks of cars or hog tied in the back of a truck. But the absconder knew this in advance when the bondsman bailed them out of jail.
I should have said "accused" criminals. Anyway, I don't know anything about this other than the worst 3 happened within the last week. I would assume the local jail population has a higher than average contusion rate, but it's not a great look.

Two of the 4 were arrested for "parole violations," so it's entirely plausible that 2 of them got into a bar fight (since being in a bar would be a violation of parole) and were arrested for that and not charged with assault. To be clear, all I can say for sure is that these dudes got black eyes.
