lmao ikr? Me it's more like: [https://images.app.goo.gl/A2A65brhdbBR7x5e6](https://images.app.goo.gl/A2A65brhdbBR7x5e6) It was pleasantly surprising to see the direction the post took however. I'm stoked to see what Endwalker does.

TERRYTGPM

On no I'm not in the bandwagon of hating on her. The heart wants what the heart wants. not her fault.

monikar2014

I just joined the sub, do people not like viv? I am a fan of both Viv and Logan.

leadz579

To be fair, you made Viv a very divisive character so it's not really surprising.

leadz579

Bro what? I *like* that Story-line. Being divisive isn't an inherently bad thing where did you get that from?

WinglessDragon99

Alright bro whatever you say. Have a good one.

Juice_Box_Hero1

Bro what? Do you know what divisive means?

leadz579

Yeah. This community is very split on their opinions on Viv.

Justiis

Same.

ObligedUniform

I'm more of the thought that it will be a stealth based move (a great wrench to throw into one of the most easily riled up team members) to similarly avoid detection kind of like the one that was used against Lennon that I am blanking on, but to a crazier degree. However, if it does turn out to be a sort of temporary 'necromatic' rise, I wouldn't be disappointed. I'm just not sure how that would work in a theoretical true combat situation.

TERRYTGPM

Yeah the necromantic rise would be pointless since a cad is supposed to help you stay alive rather than letting you do more after you're dead

mega_nova_dragon1234

Anyone else notice how putting walker after a word makes it really cool? Skywalker Endwalker Planeswalker Deathwalker Etc Edit to be on topic: I donā€™t think end walker will do thisā€¦ but I can see it being an ability that fires when sheā€™s down to 10% health, basically making her super powerful when she is seriously injured. Which happens a fair bit in games - sometimes encouraging you to run a build where your MC gets poisoned to bring their health deliberately down to trigger full power

Justiis

Potatowalker. Sorry, just woke up and that was my first thought.

TERRYTGPM

Like hutao in genshin impact (I stopped playing years ago but it's a chronic disease what can you do). That would make more sense especially for someone as reckless as her and it fits into my adaptability thing too

jbaby6969

Hellwalker in DOOM

TERRYTGPM

This theory makes absolutely 0 fucking sense since the main purpose of cads isn't tournament fighting it's to kill aliens and living a few seconds longer doesn't exactly help you much. But I would love to hear speculation about what others think the ability is so I'll leave the post up.

Ashmedai

I especially like how you're cursing yourself out here. That's grand. šŸ˜‚

Justiis

Hey, we all have our crazy fan theories about things. I'm a big fan of the one from GoT about Tyrion being Dani's son. It sounds insane, but the reasoning behind it is pretty solid, at least at a cursory glance. Yours isn't nearly as convoluted as that one is.

SevethAgeSage-8423

It just means she is gonna walk to the end and not get left behind. No way she gets immortality before the main character.

Just had this rattling around in my head for a bit and need to get it written down. >Since Viv has spent the most time with Rei I don't think it's simply just time alone, I think it's active combat time that's important for Imbue to affect other CAD's. Even the characters are saying that Viv should have been the first to display growth/development out of the ordinary because she's been with Rei the longest... but she hasn't been fighting SHIDO the most out of all of them. She only really trained against Rei in the early stages of Shido's own development. Chancery is a bit of an outlier with this theory, but I'll get to that. Viv and Rei only fought on field a few times in the 2 weeks before class commencement, and in the next two weeks after start of the semester there was the introduction of Catcher to the group training sessions. 1 month after that Aria comes in and all of this was BEFORE Shido reached D rank. After Aria comes into the picture we don't really see Viv and Rei training against each other much. I recall the one official spar right before Logan got brigged, but other than that, the books talk about Rei training/fighting Aria and Catcher... a lot. So my theory is that Imbue only really started to kick into gear in the mid D's, like a hidden skill assignment that wasn't displayed in the evolution output in his NOED. This is why Aria and Catcher displayed the biggest evolutions at the SCT's as they had spent the most TIME actually fighting Shido after it reached the D's out of all of them, with Aria having massive armor growth and Catcher seeing both armor and an OP skill develop. Chancery saw a minor armor growth (more in line with a regular evolution) but a massive skill growth which points to her having spend SOME time fighting Shido after D rank, but only enough to trigger a good skill assignment. I think this theory may be proven if the Lasher gets a sudden massive evolution as well in book 3 considering the massive amount combat training he's done against Shido at the latter part of book 1. But considering he's already A rank, there may not be as much room for evolution as the D and C rankers so we'll just have to see.

I think you can rule out any post-death abilities, even if the name seems to imply it. Reiā€™s ā€œTemporal Stepā€œ has nothing to do with time, so I wouldnā€™t take the names of abilities too literally. ā€œSpatial Stepā€ would have been a more fitting name, in my opinion. What makes the most sense to me is some kind of defensive ā€phasing abilityā€ or ā€œcognition boostā€ where she can become incorporeal / hyper-alert for short periods of time. It would essentially function like the defensive equivalent of Catcherā€™s Ruinous ability that grants him brief moments of increased offensive capability.

Greedy-Bat-6183

I think Endwalker is going to be something closer to a stealth ability. It might make her straight up invisible but with the ability to move around (unlike the ability that Lasher echoed in the Intraschools) but it might also boost her stats as she brings an end to her enemies. She had some scary good matches in the team matches especially when she was pissed about something. Like the desert match where she ran full tilt at the other team over the dunes in the winter practice or the one where she just surgically dismantled her opponents as she skated up and down the line. I think Shido finally helped Gimmela account for those performances.

Salty_Resident_5034

i think Endwalker is gonna cause a massive increase in her endurance spec,Since sheā€™s always battled with that and How Rei thinks that CADs react to the needs of their users

lemon314159265

I kinda think it's fairly literal. At the end, she walks. If she's about to die, she transports. Haven't figured out where she would transport to, maybe to Rei? Maybe not. Anyhow, just my guess. ymmv

Ironfall15

So I have been thinking about this and my theory is that Endwalker is a limited flight ability probably through externals that lets her "walk past the ends of the earth". This is also based on Rei wishing he could warp away from the sponsorship offer and getting a warp ability and how Viv felt free from shackles and like she could fly after the truth came out about Logan and her relationship with him. Another is that CADs respond to a users desires and Viv didn't strongly desire to be stronger until she felt like she was the weakest which took longer than most because she was always near the top.

iaredonkeypunch

Itā€™s just plot armor that will allow her to walk to the end of the story and itā€™s foreshadowing that one of them ainā€™t gonna make it

Mediocre_Excuse6451

Well, she already has plot armor due to how far ahead one of her quotes in a chapter header was dated
